Dedicated to @Wyatt_ for recently commenting on the first poem I ever wrote on here. This comment motivated me to post more of my poems that I have been writing.

I looked up to you,

Not just because you were taller,

But you were bigger in life,

You were my hero.

I looked up to you,

Because you helped others, saved others,

But you didn't save yourself,

I was losing my hero.

I looked up to you,

Even when you were destroying yourself,

I thought you could fight it,

I was wrong about my hero

Now I look down at you,

The girl who couldn't save herself,

And you now look up to me,

For I have grown.
