The wind is too loud and I can't sleep URGGHHGGGEHSIRJFBU

This is all over the place so forgive me for that.

The Young Justice team were lazing about the Mountain when Dick entered. He had a grin on his face and his blue eyes were bright with excitement. "Hi guys, guess what," he stated, poking his head out from around the corner. "What?" Wally asked. 

"Bruce said we've earned a vacation. There's a log cabin we have in a great location we can stay at. It's got a lake and plenty of privacy. He said we can go as long as no one sneaks beer up there," he answered. They all grinned at him. "You all in?"

"Of course," M'gann answered on the behalf of the team. 

"Great, we can leave in a few hours if you're all ready. Barry and Artemis' mum already know," he informed them. They nodded and went to pack.

Wally waited till everyone had left to wrap his arms around his boyfriend. It was no secret they were dating but he liked to do some things in private. It kept a few secrets to them. "Are we going to be sharing a bed?" he asked with a smirk. 

"As long as you don't try anything more than cuddling," Dick replied, putting his arms around his neck. He loved seeing Wally's green eyes sparkle with mischief. They were always so bright nowadays. "No kissing?" Wally frowned. Dick pretended to think. 

"A few but none below the belt," he said. Wally rolled his eyes playfully. 

"Like I would ever do that to you," Wally taunted. "You helping me pack?"

"If I didn't you would only pack food and the same damn shirt and jeans combo," he teased, leaving the hug they had. "Doesn't bother me."

"It bothers me when you get too close smelling of BO," Dick stated. Wally kissed him on the cheek and took his hand. "It's a natural musk." Dick laughed at him, putting a hand to his own blushed cheeks. He should really get used to the quick pecks Wally gave. "Is that what you're calling it now? Musk or no musk, you're not wearing this shirt for the whole weekend," he said, pointing to the shirt Wally hadn't changed in the last month. He should really buy him some new clothes for his birthday.

They all packed up and with a quick drive there, they arrived at the log cabin. It was fairly big with a couple of rooms. A shimmering lake was beside it and trees covered it from the prying eyes of the paparazzi. "Here it is. Since I invited you here, I get the biggest room. The rest is up for grabs," Dick announced before letting them in. They nodded, ready to race to the perfect room. This ended up with Artemis getting a single room along with Kaldur and M'gann bunking with Connor in a room with a bunk bed. Wally and Dick had the master bedroom with the biggest bed. Wally wasted no time jumping onto it and bouncing. "You're going to wear out the springs," Dick warned as he began to unpack their things. 

"I know something that's much more fun and will do the same job," Wally countered, giving Dick a lustful smile. The smaller went bright red and carried on unpacking. "Shut up Baywatch," Dick said. He didn't have a witty comeback for that one. He did, however, enjoy the playful look in his lover's eyes. "Are you going to be a spoil sport all weekend?" Wally groaned, flopping onto the bed. A lover's retreat this was not but he could easily make it one. Setting and mood lighting was all he needed. Maybe when he and Dick were older they could come back to fool around alone. For now he could make do with innuendo filled jokes. "I'm not a spoil sport, just cautious. Now come over here and help me put your stuff away," he replied. Wally groaned loudly and rolled off the bed. "Can't I do it later?" 

"You can but you won't so it's now. Plus if you do it then I'll owe you a favor," he said. Seeing the possibilities of this favor, Wally shot up and speedily put away all the clothes. "Huh, that actually worked for once," Dick stated. "We should get back to the group." Wally groaned inwardly, wanting to spend the day in bed but then again he'd have fun with his friends if he went. They all met up then began to plan what to do. Artemis was insistent on doing archery, whilst M'gann and Kaldur opted for a more beach appropriate day and Wally wanted a campfire that night. Connor and Dick didn't have much to say. They were happy going along with the others. They all compromised on doing all of them today.

Archery

Artemis was, of course, a pro at this so she spent some time teaching them the basics. It wasn't an easy task though. Connor kept breaking the bows and Kaldur couldn't get the arrow to stay alined. M'gann just used her powers to force the arrow to move from her bow to the target whilst Wally raced against it. Dick was the only one who managed to do it decently. "I've got to admit, it's harder than it looks," he said to Artemis after missing a bullseye. 

"Takes practice. I doubt a Baterang can compare to these babies," she replied, scoring the perfect bullseye. "Funnily enough this is much easier than through one of those. There's a smaller chance of chopping your finger off with a bow and arrow," he joked. 

"Maybe you could make a Batman version. All you have to do is stick Bat in front of it." They laughed. "Wally stopping playing chicken with my arrows, you'll get hurt," Kaldur warned. 

"Yeah right," Wally scoffed. He shot Dick a cheeky smile before doing it again. 

"Baywatch driving you insane yet?" Artemis asked out of interest. 

"I was insane from birth, makes no difference to me."

"Taking a bullet for humanity, always a hero," she teased, making him laugh.

Beach time fun time

Kaldur wasted no time in getting into the lake. Although the sun was warm, the water had a bitter cold to it at first. There was a small pier to jump off of, which the rest were planning to jump off. Well Dick and Wally planned to jump off it. Artemis, M'gann and Connor were just admiring the view. "Think fast!" they shouted in unison before plowing into the back of their friends. They tumbled in, Dick and Wally high-fiving underwater as they watched their teammates swim to the surface. "That wasn't fair, I wasn't ready," Artemis complained. 

"Gotta learn to be ready all the time Blondie. Like me and Dick," Wally retorted. Dick swiftly bit back on correcting his boyfriend's grammar. He swore Wally did it to annoy him and nothing more.

After swimming around to get used to the cold, they got into pairs. The smallest of the pairs got onto the others shoulders. Dick, M'gann and Artemis had the goal to push one another over. It was Wally's, Kaldur's and Connor's job to stay upright. Of course, Wally would cheat. He was up against a Kryptonian after all. As Dick and Artemis teamed up to push M'gann back, Wally may have swept a foot under Connor's feet. This resulted in the other falling over, dragging M'gann down to his watery doom. "Wally cheated," Connor stated. Dick looked down with an unimpressed eyebrow. "I did not." Wally defended. 

"You totally did dude. If you can't play nice we don't do your thing tonight," Dick warned. 

"You sound like a Dad," Wally commented. For that, Dick jumped off his back and pushed him into the water. Artemis was quick to catch the Boy Wonder and laugh at Wally trying to fix his hair. "If anything I'm a fun uncle," Dick said with a playful smirk. Wally rolled his eyes and pushed Artemis over, sending both his boyfriend and Kaldur down with her. "Always know how to treat a man don't you?" Dick commented, spitting out some water. 

"You know you love me," he teased, booping Dick's nose. 

"I do, but not enough to not do this," he said, pushing Wally underwater.

Camp fire

They dried off from their lakeside fun and Connor started a fire to warm them up. Wally gathered some sticks to put marshmallows on and M'gann gathered blankets in case the fire wasn't enough. "I think I still have water in my ears," Artemis whined, rubbing her ear violently. "I blame you Baywatch."

"Blame me all you like but you challenged me as soon as you joined in," Wally said with a goofy smile. Dick shook his head leaned against him sleepily. He didn't really get out of the house other than to do patrol or a mission so spending all this time with people was exhausting. His team noticed and smiled at him. Maybe he'd sleep without a fuss tonight. "You tired Dickie?" Wally asked, brushing the hair out of his face. "Is your marshmallow on fire?" Dick responded through a small yawn. "My marshmallow isn't- oh wait no it is," Wally said before rapidly blowing the fire out. The marshmallow was pretty burnt but he liked them that way. "You're disgusting," Artemis commented when he ate it. "I must agree. When it's burnt it tastes funny," M'gann added. "There's no difference," Connor announced, sparking an hour long debate on the subject.

Dick just smiled though it, not saying much. This was great. He wished he could have more moments like this. Moments where their problems were about marshmallows not crazy villains. It was clear from his face that he was content with this life. "You seem happy Richard," Kaldur whispered to him as the fight raged on. "Yeah, I am happy. Nice to worry about teenager things instead of hero things," he answered. Kaldur smiled at him, 

"Thank you for inviting us."

"Thank you for coming. I think we all needed this," Dick replied, falling asleep. Kaldur let him and watched him carefully throughout the evening, ready to help if he was struck by a nightmare. He had never expected to be friends with someone so young yet so wise. Hell, he had never expected to be a leader of a team! It was all thanks to Wally and Dick. Without them, he wouldn't be there to enjoy a marshmallow debate.

It became late and they decided to head off to bed. Dick already had a head start by already being asleep so Wally swiftly carried him upstairs to bed. "Wally," Dick muttered half asleep. "Yeah Dickie?" he answered, getting into the bed. 

"I really like you. Like a lot," he said, getting comfortable. 

"Same here," Wally chuckled. 

"Can I call in that favor?"

"Wally I'm tirrreeeed. Can't it wait till tomorrow or something," Dick whined. 

"It's not that. It's freaking freezing in here so can you cuddle up to me? This time not leaving me in the middle of the night, yes I notice that," Wally explained. Within a second, Dick was cuddled up to Wally with a soft smile on his half asleep face. "Better?" 

"Better. Goodnight babe," Wally said, putting a protective arm around him. 

"G'night Walls."

This was cute for me to write. Imma try to sleep now. Wish me luck
