I'm bored
Can someone explain what I Stan means? Excuse my grandma esk request but I'm very confused.
Robin winced in the heat and tried his best to hide in Batman's shadow. The League had been sent on a mission to Egypt and he was allowed to join. Mostly so he could study team work but also because the team liked him being there. Robin was the positive ray of sunshine they needed when it came to missions. They'd finished up and were walking back to the Bat-jet, none of them more exhausted than Robin. "You alright there?" Superman asked worriedly. Robin now had bright red cheeks and sweat drops trickling down his face. "Yep, just really warm," he replied tiredly. "You look a bit peaky. Have you had enough to drink?" Wonder Woman questioned. They were all going to make a fuss over him and he was going to let them. He was too tired to stop it. "I've had a bottle of water," he said.
"How big was it? Do you think he's dehydrated? How much should a normal nine year old drink? Scratch that he's small for his age, how much does an six year old need?" Flash said rather seriously than expected. "Hey acrobats are supposed to be small," Robin argued pathetically. "Batman look at him! He practically dying!" Flash continued. Batman glanced at him, a slight look of worry crossing over his face but covered within a second. "We're nearly there, think you can hold out chum?" he asked. Robin nodded before face planting the floor. He peeled his face off the sand and spit out sand. "Take it back," he croaked. "I'll die out here," he added, putting his face back in the sand. "I feel you," Aquaman said, picking him up.
"You're not bright red Aquaman," Green Lantern pointed out.
"I'm not that red," Robin said. He lazily tried to wipe off the sand that clung to his cheeks. "You're a tomato," he replied. Robin rolled his eyes and stuck his tongue out at him.
They finally got on the jet and Robin was still trying to get the sand off his face. "I hate sand," he whined. He was so frustrated and tired he felt like he could cry. "Diana help him out," Batman said. She nodded and managed brush off the remaining sand. She booped him on the nose, cheering him up. "Robin, over here," Batman called. He nodded and ran over, hopping into his mentors lap. Batman took off a glove and placed it against his son's face. He was really warm. "Didn't I tell you to stay in the shade?" he asked. Robin gave him a blank look.
"You wanted me to find shade in a desert!" That got a giggle from the team.
"I guess it was hard to ask," he admitted, turning on the AC. Robin nodded and leaned against him, soon falling asleep. "That'll keep you free for a few hours," Superman commented.
"Can he come on missions more often? Rob laughs at my jokes," Flash said.
"That's because your humor is childish and he's a child," Green Lantern retorted.
"May I ask what compelled you to let him join?" Martian Manhunter asked. Batman shrugged then looked down at Robin. "Makes the missions seem quicker." He earned a collective aww from them. "I have the means to destroy all of you. Don't test me."
