Drugs trail part 2

"We have company."

Batman swore under his breath then looked back to Dick. He was squirming around, his eyes were searching for any sort of comfort but whatever nightmare he was experiencing was blinding him. "Whatever is in his system isn't wearing off any time soon," Red Robin pointed out, keeping his attention on the floor. He couldn't bear to look at Dick. Nobody deserved the experience Dick was going through, especially him of all people. He was just trying to help people as Richard Grayson, not Nightwing. "He can't even hear us," he added.

Down the hall, men were stomping with large guns in their hands. Red Hood guessed they hadn't seen the heroes come in as they joked with one another. They were sick people to act jolly whilst innocent people were tortured around them but he guessed his fellow heroes were no better. They constantly joked even with guns to their heads. He pulled out a gun, checking it was full of bullets, and got ready to attack. "Have we got a plan or are we just winging it?" he asked. His question brought Batman back from whatever messed up trance he was under and the older's mind instantly got to work planning. "Here's what I got; Robin you and Red Hood help me take out the guards, Red Robin you get Dick outside and call for the Batjet. We'll meet you on board. If Dick shows any signs of getting worse then go without us. Got it?" They all nodded, eager to fulfil their roles in helping their brother.

As his family ran out of the room, Red Robin built up the confidence to brave looking at Dick. His hopeless search for comfort had been given up on in favour of sobbing. His voice cracked and croaked painfully, hoarse from the hours of relentless nightmares. Red Robin carefully removed all the wires connected to his brother before pushing the hospital bed out the room. The guards weren't going down without a fight and he didn't have time for them to knock them flat out. He pulled up the blueprints again, finding an elevator not too far ahead would take him out to the parking lot. "Huh, that's lucky," he muttered. Must be the good karma finally giving back to them. Quickly, he made his way towards their way out whilst trying to shut out the sobbing. Why didn't he do better checks? Admittedly he wasn't well rested when he did the checks but Dick counted on him and he failed. What if Dick never trusted him again? Their relationship had been rocky and he hated that period of his life. Dick was his lifeline. His phone number was the first to be called if there was an emergency or if he ever felt down. What if Dick didn't even want to look at him anymore? He got into the lift and took the few precious seconds to sit down. He needed to compose himself. His hands rubbed at his eyes, getting rid of the tears that resided there. When he woke up this morning, this really wasn't how he imagined his day going.

"Where am I?" Dick suddenly shouted. His arms pulled against the restraints as he squirmed in panic. Red Robin jumped to his feet, slightly shocked that he heard something other than crying. "Dick? It's Tim, I'm gonna get you out of here," he replied. Dick's face lit up a little but his eyes were still unfocused. "You're a God sent, you know that?" Red Robin moved to push the hospital bed again with a laugh. "Let's save that sorta talk for when you're better. Focus on staying out of the nightmares for now."
