A shadow slinked through the cave silently. It moved to the hall of bedrooms and began to pick one of the rooms it felt most drawn to. Before it could enter Richard's room, M'gann stepped out her bedroom in pink pyjamas and saw the creature lingering around his door. She screamed, scaring it off and waking the team. Dick was out first wearing a long shirt and shorts, followed by Wally who was just wearing shorts poking his head out from Dick's room. Next was Kaldur who was wet from sleeping in the pool. (Idk where he fucking sleeps.) Then Artemis, wearing jogging pants and a tank top, and Connor who was fully dressed. "You sleep fully dressed?" Wally asked. "You sleep in Richard's room?" M'gann asked. 

"Shirtless?" Artemis added. Dick blushed deeply and quickly got off the subject by saying, 

"Why did you scream?" All eyes went on M'gann. 

"I saw a black creature outside your door. It looked like a snake but it was too big to be one," she answered. "Black snakes aren't indigenous here," Connor stated. Dick thought for a moment. 

"Are you sure you saw it? You might've just imagined it or something," he suggested. 

"Unless this snake is poisonous I'm going back to bed," Artemis proclaimed. 

"It's not," Connor told her. 

"To bed, I go," she said. They all took her lead and went back to bed. 

"I'm surprised Batman hasn't ripped you two apart," M'gann muttered. 

"He owes me one," Dick informed her as Wally wrapped an arm around his waist, calling him back to bed. "Get some sleep." Once they had all returned to bed, the creature came back and again lingered outside of Dick's room. "What do you think M'gann saw?" Wally asked as he and Dick settled into bed. "Stop thinking and go to sleep," was Dick's insightful answer. Wally rolled his eyes and fell asleep with him.

The creature sensed they were asleep and slid under the doorway. It darted around the room then settled beside Dick then it evaporated, entering him with every breath he took. (That sounds so fucking weird.) A pressure formed on Dick's chest, waking him. He felt like something was choking him but there was nothing there. His stomach churned and his eyes watered. It felt like a burning force was moving through his body, beginning to take over. Throughout all this, he couldn't move to tell Wally or even move to alert him. He was paralyzed. Eventually, he stopped feeling and completely blacked out.

When M'gann went back to bed, she stayed awake and kept a secret mind-link with the couple. It seemed stupid but she had a bad feeling that this force was out to hurt one of them. As she was about to give up and get some sleep, she lost contact with Dick's mind. Confused, she tried to link up again but it didn't work. She got up and went to her door. When she opened it, she quickly stepped back and hid in the shadows of her room. She'd seen Dick but it wasn't Dick. Something was controlling him. It was quite apparent to her. His once sparkling blue eyes were pure black and his body moved unnaturally. Thinking quickly, M'gann set up a mind-link with everyone to alert them. "Something is controlling Dick, his eyes are... they're black," she informed the others. "That's impossible Dick is here with-" Wally paused as he opened his eyes and saw an empty space along with an open door. "Okay he's not here," he added. M'gann rolled her eyes and stepped out of her room carefully. "Wally, you come with me. Artemis, Connor and Kaldur, you should stay out of sight till I say we need you," she ordered. She got an agreed response and continued.

Wally walked out his room and joined M'gann, both moving as quietly as possible. They followed Dick to the Zetatubes and watched as he got up the holo-computer. "What is he doing?" M'gann asked. He typed in something and began searching through files. Seeing enough, M'gann called the rest of the team to the room. "Do we address him as Dick or Robin?" Wally asked.

"Dick, as long as we don't say his last name it's okay," Kaldur answered.

"Dick, step away from the computer," Kaldur commanded. The boy turned around, his face expressionless and his eyes black. Wally couldn't help but gasp at the sight. "What're you doing?" Kaldur demanded. His tone was strong and unwavering. Dick didn't respond. M'gann got brave and walked up to him. He stared at the Martian. "What are you? Is someone controlling you?" she asked. 

"Can't...say," the voice didn't belong to Dick yet it had hints of him in there. It was low and sounded as though two people were speaking at once. "Yes, you can. We won't do anything to you." A twitch went through Dick's body.

There was a long silence, almost as if the creature was thinking over what she said. "Klar-" the voice stopped and Dick stopped breathing. "Dick?" He lurched forward as a black mass escaped his mouth and his arms wrapped around his stomach. He fell to his knees and sucked in gulps of air as the black mass evaporated. M'gann knelt beside him and rubbed his back. "What the fuck was that!" Artemis shrieked. M'gann shot a glare and helped Dick with his breathing. 

"Did I...it get to any files?" he asked, slightly breathlessly. His voice was hoarse, most likely because he threw up a magical creature of some sort. She looked up and shook her head. "You couldn't get in. Do you need anything?" She answered. He shook his head and blinked harshly. "I'll get some water in a minute. Mind helping me up?" She smiled and did as he asked. Wally ran straight over and hugged him tightly. "Do you remember what name you were going to say?" M'gann asked. Dick thought for a moment as Wally pulled away. "Klarion. The witch brat wanted to know the location of some crystal," he responded. "I don't know about you guys but I'm going to bed before I pass out," he added.

"I'm with you, babe," Wally said. He walked Dick back to his room and got back into bed.

"I'll follow this up in the morning. For now, we should follow they're lead and get some rest," Kaldur announced. They nodded and went back to sleep.

An hour later Black Canary came in and made them train for five hours. To say the team wanted to kill her would be a severe understatement.
