CHAPTER 3 [Y/N]
"Your brother is literally nothing like you," I said as we sat down on one bench to have our lunch. Jimin nodded, opening his lunch box.
"It had always been like this." He said, looking down with a sad smile.
"You look sad, Jimin. You only want him to love you like his own brother, right?"
He paused, looking at the two boys before us who were laughing and eating together.
"Not really..." He said after some time, "but sometimes when I am really upset and crave for some emotional support, I kinda wish... if he had stayed beside me, it'd have been better." He shrugged and bent down to eat. I stared at him and realized how different he and his brother were.
As much as I had learned from him about Taehyung, I could tell they were the total opposites. Taehyung, on one hand, was flirty, desperate, egoistic, and arrogant. And Jimin, on the other hand, was friendly, soft-hearted, and adorable.
One thing, of course, was common in both of them. They both were popular among girls in the school for their looks. Taehyung takes his popularity for granted while Jimin never gives any of them- false hopes.
And to be honest, I had kind of developed a little crush on him as well, since the time we first talked and even more, after we met. I smiled to myself and turned back to have my lunch.
"Can't believe I am having lunch with you right now!" I said shaking my head with a smile.
He looked at me, amused. "Why?"
"It still feels like... wasn't it just a few days ago, we first messaged each other? And now we are sitting here together, having lunch." I grinned at him while chewing. He chuckled and I had to look away for a second to control my face from getting red. Why... was... he... so... damn... handsome?????
"You know, when I first saw you in your story, I instantly had a crush on you. But now when I met you... I must say that..." He blushed a little, fiddling with his spoon but I interrupted. "That I look demonic?"
We laughed and he said, waving his spoon at me, "What? No! No!" We pushed each other as we kept laughing for such a silly reason.
When we were finally able to breathe again, he continued, "Y/n, you are actually more beautiful than the pictures you had sent me last month." He said, glancing at me shyly and I found myself blushing fiercely at that. But I didn't look up at him. I did not want to make it more obvious.
"Well, you look weird to me in real life," I said, glancing at him now. He smiled and nodded. "But in my language," I added, "...weird meant extremely handsome." He looked at me, wide-eyed, though a slight smirk was visible on the corner of his lips.
"I am handsome? You really think so?" He asked, touching his cheeks to check his handsomeness. I laughed at his silly reaction.
"Then why do you think those girls are secretly peeking at you?" I nudged him a little with my elbow. He smiled sheepishly. "Well..."
***
After lunch, we went to our locker and took out our next books. We turned to go upstairs but a weeping sound stopped me. I told Jimin to stop and listen if he's hearing it too. He listen and said he did. We looked around the corridor and saw four kids standing at a distance.
As I neared to them, I recognized Yoongi and Hoseok. Yoongi's hands were held on his back by a boy taller than him and maybe older than him too. Another such boy was standing before him.
Hobi stood by Yoongi's side, holding on to his shoulder and weeping in fear. The boy before Yoongi slapped him hard, to which he whimpered more as tears kept pouring down his cheeks and I winced looking at that.
How dare he slap my brother like that?
Hoseok kept weeping at his side and it seemed like he wanted to protect his new friend but he was too scared and helpless.
As he was about to slap Yoongi again, I stepped before him. "Hey!" I scoffed.
He was startled, taking a step back at my sudden interruption. He looked at his friend fearfully. "Why are-"
I was cut when Yoongi freed his hands from the other boy and hugged me from behind. When I turned to hold him, he started crying even more. I felt like crying too but I need to teach this kids a lesson first.
I hugged him slightly as he kept crying, with his cheeks sore and red with the slaps I might have missed before. I stroked them gently and he sniffled, with tears.
"I- knew- I would- be- bullied... I-" he hugged me again and cried.
Jimin was teary too, seeing him cry. He asked the first boy. "Why were you slapping him like that? You want me to complain to your teacher, huh?"
The boy gulped once and said, "He- i-is a- thief. He- had stolen- my watch."
I furrowed my brows, definitely not buying his excuse.
"I have not stolen, Y/n. Tell him, I never steal anyone's things. He's lying." Yoongi cried behind me, begging me with his teary eyes.
The boy glared at him and threatened, "What did you just say? I'm lying?"
I looked at the boy intently and something caught my eye. Something dark brown was slightly out of his pocket.
He was about to slap Yoongi again, but I held his hand. I pulled out the thing from his pocket. And exactly what I had thought.
A digital watch.
I raised a brow at him, showing it before his face. He gulped, backing away, and looked at his friend for support.
"If this is the thing you have been bullying my brother for, then I swear now I am gonna kick your asses harder than you can imagine," I swore harshly, forgetting that Yoongi and Hoseok were with me too.
Jimin widened his eyes at my words but I knew I was serious. The boys looked badly scared now.
"You hid the thing in your pocket the whole time and then you dared to hit my brother till he cried. Seriously?" I took a step at him and he swallowed. "I- I am sor- sorry." He stammered, "I will ne-never do it- again." He snatched the watch from my hand and they ran away as if I was chasing them.
I sighed, with my hands on my waist. Yoongi hugged me again and began crying.
Hoseok rubbed his tears as new tears flowed down his tender cheeks. "I am sorry I couldn't protect him." He apologized to me and I gave him a hug too. After all, he was a child too.
"It's alright," I said, smiling kindly. But my attention was on Yoongi's sore cheeks. Bending down, I touched them and he winced with pain. "I'm sorry Yoongi, I couldn't come earlier."
My eyes watered and he rubbed my tears, as soon as they came out, shaking his head to tell me not to cry. I nodded with a smile, and said, "Yoon, you have to remember that I can't always be there when someone bullies you. So, you have to stand for yourself. You have to protest if someone blames you wrongly, okay?"
He nodded, holding the urge to cry again. I kissed his forehead and stood up.
"Now, smile both of you," I said. They looked at each other and smiled. Hoseok came forward and hugged him, leaving him flustered yet again.
Jimin and I were awed at his reaction and chuckled.
They looked back at us and waved, going to their classes. We waved at them too and they ran to their class.
A/N Okay so, it's been looooonnnggggg since I updated. My exams... was one reason and the second one is... I wasn't motivated. Yeah, so lame. But today I saw a few comments on the 2 chapters and I am over cloud 9. So I thought I should update it finally!
I know the storyline isn't that great. But I will try to make sure I don't leave you regretful atleast.
Vote, comment, and save if you like it.
