CHAPTER 14 [Y/N]

Stunned by the sudden confession, I didn't realize that I had been staring at Jimin, who's waiting for at least some answer from me. I finally spoke weakly, "Jimin I-"

He instantly wrapped his hands around mine and politely said, "Y/n, it's okay." Sitting down on his knees near me, he looked at my eyes while practically whispering each of the words. "It's really fine if you can't reciprocate the feelings right now. I know it's... too sudden for you. But believe me, just for my feelings, I didn't want to lose the best friend I had. I love you, yes but I need you as a friend as well. You won't leave me for this, right?"

He searched for some hope in my eyes as I just kept staring blankly. So he continued, "You haven't mentioned it since we met but you will still tease me with 'chimmy', won't you? I promise I won't whine and tell you to stop. Please Y/n, don't avoid or ignore me after this? Please?" He almost begged as his eyes began to water, while searching through my eyes desperately.

Jimin, you are so precious I swear. If possible, I can keep you and preserve you my whole life, you are that important to me.

But... I never knew you had feelings for me. It's not like I hate you but how do I act the same after knowing all this?

"I... won't leave you, Jimin. I promise!" I said with uncertainty evident in my words but I mean each of them truly. Overlooking my tone, I hope he sees the actual sincerity in them.

He smiled a little and hugged me tightly, making me get butterflies. "Thank you so much, Y/n! I won't ever hurt you or let anyone do too. I lo- I promise!" He pulled back and smiled beautifully.

Aigo, you don't need to be that adorable, Jimin-ah!

After a silence of a few seconds, he whispered a bit fearfully, " So we are good? Still best friends right?"

This time I couldn't help but break into a smile and ruffled his hair, "Yes." He giggled and sat down beside me, with a cute shy smile.

I elbowed him slightly and said, "You don't need to be shy around me okay? That'll just make things more awkward. Just be the normal you. I like that Jimin more."

He looked at me longingly and nodded with a wider smile. My heart...ah!

Letting aside the tension that arose in between, we talked for a while about different topics... sometimes remembering excerpts of our night long chats, and laughing at them now. We were really close since our friendship and the virtual nature of our friendship never stopped us from being open and having fun.

Suddenly, I noticed Jimin was silent as he stared at the wall before us and then at the floor. "What are you thinking all of a sudden?" I asked concernedly.

He nodded to himself and then turned to me. "Let's go to that park."

I furrowed my brows. "Huh? Which park?"

"Uh, the one near the end of the street nearby-" He looked at me hopefully.

I blinked once and nodded. "Oh okay, sure!" He smiled and stood up, holding out his hand for me. I rolled my eyes and chuckled, taking it and standing up.

Well, the truth being I still don't understand which park he meant. But anyways, as long as he's happy with my response, I am happy as well.

Just then we heard the front door close. Jimin looked at me and grinned. 'It should be Namjoon Hyung! Let's go!"

With my briefest nod, he pulled me out of the room, towards the living room where the voices came from.

But why do I feel nervous about meeting him again?

Double updates? Yeah yeah.

I already made everyone wait too much. So yep!

And, my writing style might sound a bit different, isn't it? I read different books these days. A mixture to be precise. So they have definitely influenced my style in a way.

If it's better, then thanks. But if not, can you suggest me how I can improve?
