Alarms
The silence that filled the room only lasted for a minute or two before Asgore bolted out of bed and threw on his clothes, Toriel following suit shortly after while Sans turned around to give them privacy, having just realized what he interrupted. He didn't even have the time to feel embarrassed before Asgore's growl echoed around them as he began barking out orders while Toriel scrambled to wake up her children.
"Sans, gather Papyrus, Mettaton, Alphys and Undyne. I want you to bring them with you immediately. There's no time to waste. Now go!"
He nodded and disappeared as fast as he had come, starting first at Alphys' lab, since it was closest and didn't put too much strain on his magic, he'd need every last bit of it. He hurried into the lab, simply teleporting past the door and calling loudly for the fish and dinosaur monsters, his nerves basically fried and his mind running a mile a minute.
"Undyne, Alphys, come here now!" He yelled, worry lacing every word, "Its an emergency!"
The sound of shuffling footsteps reached him as a disgruntled fish and dinosaur ran down the escalator, their rapid footfalls echoing throughout the massive laboratory. When Undyne came skidding to a halt, she frowned down at the skeleton, ready to chew him out but the concern in his eyes made her pause and reach out to grip his shoulder reassuringly.
"What's wrong? What has happened?"
Sans shook his head, his flickering blue and gold eyes staring back up at her, "Not here. Get dressed, we have to go. Now!"
Undyne nodded, her thoughts scrambling as she rushed to the entryway, throwing on her armor at a breakneck speed and grabbing the glowing blue spear in the corner. Her mind wandered as she fumbled with tying the straps. Something truly bad must have happened for him to get so worked up, and judging by the rising dread in her stomach, she knew it wasn't anything good. The look Alphys shot her didn't ease her worries any.
Hurrying back to the skeleton, Alphys looked between the two with wide, fear filled eyes, "S-Sans, wh-what's wrong? Y-You're sh-shaking.."
He shook his head, "Asgore will tell you himself. Come here both of you. We have to go get Papyrus and Mettaton."
Dino and fish exchanged worried glances but did what they were told, clutching the skeleton's hands as the world around them shifted. Multitudes of colors flashed before their eyes and with a screeching halt, the two collapsed to the floor barely holding back the contents in their stomachs.
Both of them groaned and sat on the floor disoriented while Sans practically flew up the steps to Papyrus' room. He didn't hesitate to fling the door open, not even caring that the tin can was sitting on Pap's lap, oily kisses covering the stark white of his face.
Mettaton quickly jumped off his lover's lap, a fierce scowl on his face as he opened his mouth to lecture the eldest skeleton on his lack of manners, but the look in Sans' eyes stopped the angry tirade in its tracks. Papyrus quickly moved to his brothers side, wide eyed and concerned, before pulling him close.
"Brother, what-"
"Not now, bro. We need to go to New Home. Now. Get dressed, armor up and meet me downstairs ASAP," He commanded, every ounce of fear and worry lacing his instructions.
Both monsters nodded and exchanged worried glances before Papyrus rushed to grab his suit of armor from his closet. The armor had been a commissioned piece from his lover when he had finally been accepted as a royal guard, although he rarely wore it wholly out since it was a giant iron suit, but now it seemed as if it would finally serve it's purpose. The skeleton lifted his arms, dragging the gauntlets over his arms while Mettaton moved behind him, easing the chestplate into place and tying it securely behind his back, his mind whirring frantically as he helped his lover.
MT's hands trembled slightly as he tied the cords, his soul pounding with an intensity he was not used to. Neither monster was stupid, if they needed to armor up then something horrible was about to happen. He could only hope for the best as he watched Papyrus' tall form bend down to slip on the boots, and he absently wondered if this might be the last time he'd see the love of his life.
No, no! I can't think that way, we'll make it out! We have to..
Papyrus glanced up after fastening the rest of his armor and found his robotic lover staring at him almost in tears. His soul ached at the forlorn look on his face, and without even realizing it, he crushed the robot in a tight embrace, whispering words of comfort and support to the petrified monster in his arms.
Mettaton froze momentarily as he came out of his thoughts, but soon wrapped his arms around Papyrus in a grip just as tight, if not even more so.
"Whatever happens, love. We'll be together. Always," Papyrus whispered before placing a tender kiss to cool metal lips, "Now let's go. The others are waiting."
They both separated, hurrying down the stairs and tending to the sick monsters still on the floor. The only happy thought running through Papyrus' mind was that thankfully they didn't puke.

Sans had no sooner left the room than his heavily pregnant wife crept out their room, and with a barely audible curse he figured the noise had woken her up. Her face had brightened considerably as she waddled closer to her husband, but when she saw the worry etched into his skull, her smile disappeared and she practically flew to his side, wrapping him in as comfortable an embrace as she could what with her protruding stomach.
"Sans, what's wrong? You look like the world's about to end."
Sans gulped and hugged her back as tight as he could, mindful of her belly, "Everything's all right, baby. I just, I gotta go." He moved back and cupped her face in his hands as he pressed a chaste, yet emotional kiss to her lips, "Asgore called a meeting and I have to be there. I have to go now but I will be back soon, okay? Just stay here and lock the door love. Don't let anyone in, promise me."
Frisk frowned, her voice thick with worry, "I promise. Don't be gone too long.."
He nodded and forced down the lump in his throat, "I won't. Rest now, love. I'll be back before you know it."
He watched as she nodded and kissed him once more before settling down in their bed, one that seemed far too big without him. A twinge twisted his soul, but he ignored it, smoothing a hand through her hair before blinking down to the living room where everyone had assembled.
"Everyone grab on. We've got a long way to go."
The others nodded and clasped hands with one another before the world spun around them, colors and shapes blurring and molding before their eyes before they all collapsed on the floor, nausea creeping up on the little group. Sans spared them no glance as he moved to Asgore's side, the others would have to get over it and soon.
The goat father sighed, but allowed the group to gather their bearings before commanding their attention, his eyes hard and unyielding.
"You have all been summoned as the threat has finally come. The humans call for our extinction at long last."
Outraged cries filled the room as the new information sunk in.
"N-no w-way!" Alphys cried, her head spinning as she slumped forward, her hands wringing together nervously.
Undyne had stiffened, her teeth bared as she glared daggers at the floorboard. Papyrus nodded, jaw clenched tightly as the weight of the situation settled over them all.
"What are we going to do, darling," Mettaton whispered, his voice raspy with unease and a non-too familiar edge of despair.
Sans turned to stare at them all, a hard edge in his eyes as he caught the monsters' gazes, "We fight."
Toriel nodded, her face pinched and lips tight with worry, "We take a stand. Once and for all."
"Right," Asgore echoed, his face stern and unyielding as he began issuing commands rapidly, there was much to do after all, "Mettaton, get the camera rolling. Alphys sound the alarms, I want every monster awake and ready to move out within the hour. Undyne, Papyrus, you two gather the troops. Those who wish to fight may do so. All who are unable to fight must be evacuated immediately. Is that clear?"
The monsters nodded, standing tall before rushing to their tasks. All at once the home was filled with activity as they all fell into line, each carrying out their tasks without delay.
Once the alarm had sounded, ensuring all citizens were awake, Mettaton began the broadcast, filling every screen at home with an emergency service announcement on every station there was.
Asgore stared unblinkingly into the camera as he began his speech, his warning and final thoughts to his people, a small smile finding its way onto his face as he uttered the last bit left before signaling an end to his announcement.
Turning away, he embraced the stiff form of his wife and whispered words of love and reassurance, though little comfort would be found this day. Two souls shared in a tender kiss, each pouring their love and devotion into a gentle press of lips. Tears streaked her fur and he shakingly brushed them away as he pulled back to gaze into those hauntingly beautiful crimson orbs.
There were no words to be had, none strong enough to convey his deepest fears, his worry, the overwhelming need to save her from the fate they knew would lay before them.
"There's no chance of you staying behind is there?" He whispered, a knowing twinkle in his eye.
She smiled weakly, a shaky laugh escaping her as she gripped his paw tenderly, "Not a chance in hell."
"That's what I thought."
Paws mingled, fur brushed as she brought him closer for another lingering kiss, one that could very well be their last.
"Wherever you lead, I will follow. It is as it should be. We stand together and we fall together," she whispered, her voice giving way to none of the fear that threatened to consume her.
Her eyes sparkled with unshed tears as he brought her close, melding her to his form and crushing her into his strong chest.
"I love you, Tori.."
"As I you. Always.."

Citizens, the time has finally come. The humans have made their move. It is with a heavy heart that I must announce that we face utter annihilation come first light. Women, children, elderly, any and all who are unwilling or unable to fight must come to the barrier at once. Evacuation will commence in the next hour. Gather the essentials and nothing more, there is not much time.
Those who wish to fight should assemble in New Home promptly.
As this may be the last time I speak to you all, just know that each and every one of you deserves the right to live. You deserve happiness and security. It has been my honor for the last hundred years to provide that for you all.
I have made many mistakes throughout my reign but none weighs more heavily on my heart than the fact that there was nothing that could be done to spare us another war with the humans.
Know that your loyalty and support over these many years has brought nothing but love and pride to my family and I. Cherish the time that you have with those you hold dear, and never stop fighting for tomorrow.
Long live the monsters!

It will be up to you guys which ending you deem as the 'true ending'. Goodbye for now!
