At Least You Care
Harry spent the next few hours in the Room of Requirement, as he was too angry to face his friends. He wanted to scream, punch, kick, and just release his anger onto something. He felt a slight itch on his arms, and thought about doing something horrible.
"No, you promised Draco you wouldn't do it again." Harry said to himself, scoldingly. He sighed, and landed on a couch that felt moth-eaten.
A few minutes passed before Draco walked in.
"Harry? Are you in here?" Draco's soothingly sweet voice echoed in the room. God, Harry loved that voice so much, it was just so sweet. Maybe that's what his lips are like, Harry thought, sweet and soothing. Wait, what? Why did I think that? Harry thought.
"There you are, Harry! I was so worried when you didn't come back from Dumbledore's office, I thought something happened to you!" Draco said, hugging Harry lightly.
Harry blushed, and hugged Draco as well, although a bit tighter than Draco would have anticipated.
"I'm alright, Draco, I just needed to be alone for a little bit. I was angry and didn't want to take it out on you, or someone else." Harry said, as the boy's pulled out of the hug.
"As long as you're ok." Draco said, before looking around them.
"Really? The Room of Lost Things? That's what you thought of?" Draco asked, laughing lightly.
Harry laughed, shoving Draco playfully as they walked out. "I wanted to hide for a bit, you goof." Harry said, chuckling.
The boys broke off into a run, racing each other down the hallways, into the Slytherin Common Room. It's sad, really, neither of the boy's had a chance at a real childhood. They entered the common room together, but Draco was adamant that he won.
"It was a tie, boys." Severus Snape said, from the center of the common room, chuckling. He felt bad for not helping either of them out of their families. He could sense the boys had a bond, but it wasn't friendly, more like, a romance.
Harry and Draco laughed at the professor, before looking up. Mistletoe.
"It's not even Christmas!" The boys said together, but underneath boy were quite glad.
Harry looked at Draco, and kissed him. Although everyone in Slytherin was watching, Harry didn't care. He kissed Draco, and Draco kissed back. They pulled apart, as the common room burst into applause. Bets were being paid, girls were squealing, boys were grinning. And Harry, he was happy. At least these people cared, maybe he could finally be just Harry.
