♢♢CHAPTER EIGHT♢♢
**Blake**
"You have to leave now", Ben says watching Delilah and Danielle and they pull up to the restaurant.
"I have to say goodbye first", I whisper seeing Martin help Delilah out of the limo.
I smile eyeing her dressed in a white dress, hugging her beautiful frame perfectly. She looks undeniably gorgeous. My heart breaks as a frown appear on her previous face, staring at her phone.
My phone vibrates in my hand and her name pops up on my screen. Quickly I place it in my pocket. It's for her own good.
"It's only going to make her asks questions and you have to leave now", Ben hisses.
"She deserves an explanation", I return and he glares at me.
"You know if you leave now she'll be safer", he explains and I nod.
"I know", I whisper under my breathing knowing he is right, even if it means sacrificing my happiness.
"Promise me you'll take care of her", I say looking sternly into Ben's eyes and he nods.
"I'll guard her with my life", he replies and I nod taking off before she can see me.
I look back one last time and print an image of her beauty in my head. I get in my car and drive back home to pack all my luggage.
Once I'm done I pick up my bags and place it in the truck of my black ferrari.
Leaving Delilah behind kills me. It's like leaving my soul in her heart, and all I have is my body. I feel empty.
I'm leaving behind my love, the only chance I have with happiness. And suddenly my world turns grey. The colour of a man world when he is miserable. All bright colours turning dull. Like a black and white t.v.
It's funny how your bestfriend can turn into your worst enemy, because of jealousy. When all you need to become a great friend is trust, loyalty, and support.
The word bestfriend was crushed the moment I met one little boy, who grew into a pathetic excuse of a man.
Austin.
He is the truth behind my pain. The one thing keeping me away from my precious Delilah.
All because of a deal.....
"Don't you dare mention her name from your filthy mouth", I threaten balling my hands into fists.
"What are you going to do about it?", he chuckles and I take one step towards him, and he instantly moves backwards.
"Pathetic", I mutter under my breathe.
"I'll never leave what belongs to me. She was the one thing I had, and you took her away from me", Austin shouts and I feel unfrazed by his aggression.
"That's where you went wrong Austin, she was never yours to begin with", I hiss and anger fills his eyes.
"I will never let you have her. I will never let you be happy. She was my happiness. And you took her away from me", he shouts and I grab the colloar from his shirt.
"You left her to die in that car crash. Do you really think she'll forgive you for being such a coward", I hiss pushing him to the ground.
"If you ever touch her, look at her, or even think of her again. I will do everything in my power to get rid of you", my voice dead serious and he gulps with fear flashing through his eyes, like the little boy he used to be.
"I will never leave her", he mutters back with a dark chuckle.
"Besides you will never hurt me big bro", he shoots with a smirk waving his hands in surrender and I eye the mark on his hand.
"You really wanna find out?", I hiss stopping myself from doing something, I won't really regret, but hold with me my entire life.
~~
It was true and I never admitted it to anyone. It seemed as it was only yesterday Austin's parents adopted me and then I met little Austin. He was only one year younger than what I was, but everyone knew I was the brave one from the two.
Ever since I met him, I knew he wasn't my real brother. But I treated him like he was. Ben, Austin and I were upseperable. We did everything together. We even had our own secret place to meet in the park, but it wasn't that much of a secret since Austin asked his parents to build us the tree house. But then again, he was never the smartest kid.
I remember one-day, on the 1st April. Ben started all the April's fools pranks and we spent that whole day thinking of ways to prank each other.
So while I was drawing up my plans Austin wanted to steal it as a joke, but then I un-intentionly took my scissors and jabbed it in his hand. He screamed out in pain. And on that day, I promised I'd never hurt him again...after we shared a sandwich.
The same mark he has today.
~~
"What do you want in return to leave us alone?", I ask and he smirks mischeviously.
"I want you to leave her and never see her again. And in return I'll do the same. If I can't have her. Either will you", he barks and I chuckle deeply.
"As if I'll do anything pathetic like that. We're engaged if you haven't got the invite", I state sarcasticly.
He chuckles taking out a picture from his pocket. "Pretty little grandma she has here. From what I heared, she's the only family Dee has left. It would be a tragedy if anything were to happen to this sweet old lady", he says with a smirk on his face, showing me a picture of Linda. Delilah's grandma.
"I swear if you come near anyone of them", I hiss anger turning my vision to red, adrenaline flowing through my veins as I push him against his car.
"I won't have to do a thing. You disappear, I disappear. A deals and deal", he says and I stare coldly into his eyes.
"How would I know if you'll keep your word?", I ask. Wishing my gaze would melt his tiny little peanut brain.
"We're brothers", he answers and I snicker.
"Well it's funny how things can change", I spit at him and he somehow seems taken back by my words. But I show no remorse.
"You disappear, I disappear. Delilah moves on, without us", he snarls and my heart literally plumps from my chest.
"And Delilah will be safe?", I say in nearly a whisper and he nods in reply with a smirk.
"It's a deal".
