**CHAPTER THIRTEEN**

**Blake**

"I'm sorry sir, but there seems to be a problem", my event planner informs me.

"Of course there is", I mumble under my breathe and she bites her lip nervously.

"Our entertainers cancelled the show", she says slowly. She grips her clip board tighter as I exhale a sharp breathe.

"What why?", I ask as I bite my jaw in annoyance.

"He had to attend another event", she simply states.

Brushes through my hair with my fingers, I calm myself before speaking.

"Can't the party organizers handle this problem. I hired them for a reason. And that's to keep stress away from me", I state remanimg calm.

"I just thought you should know, sir", she replies in a second.

"It's okay I'll make a plan", I say waving her off and she walks out my office.

"Blake the meeting starts in half an hour", my dad reminds me as I grab a cup of black coffee sitting back in my office chair.

"You look stressed son", he says placing a hand on my shoulder.

"Just work", I let out a sigh.

"We'll get through this, you know that right?", he asks as I nod. He immediately takes the seat opposite me before making himself a steaming cup of coffee with the machine in my office.

"I heard the news about Bethany", he states taking a dip from his cup.

"Who didn't?", I rhetorically ask with a chuckle.

"It's about time you let her go", he says taking me by surprise.

"What do you mean?", I ask amused. "You're were the one who told me 'she's a keeper'", I say as he chuckles.

"Exactly, I told you she's a keeper. I didn't say she's the one", he says as I think about his words.

"But what I definitely  do know. The person you thinking about everyday, she's something special".

"What person?", I half-heartedly ask.

"Oh come on Blake, I'm your father. I should know that look in your eyes, when you stare into space. Blocking the world out as you let your mind run wild", he says letting out a chuckle as I stare at him.

"So who's the lucky girl this time?", he asks with a grin.

"We'll have to wait and let time reavel that answer", I reply with a smirk.

"Okay, keep it a mystery. But just remeber, the greatest things in life comes to those who wait patiently", dad says in his stern fatherly tone.

"I'll keep that in mind", I reply. "I'll be back in 10", I say setting my cup down.

"Where are you off too?", he asks.

"For a walk", I reply walking out the building.

The fresh air instanly hits my face, I inhale a big breathe of air. I leave the Cooper building, leaving behind my work load too. Some times all you need is some space. Is that really too much to ask?

You know what, don't even answer that.

I take a stroll along the stone path in the NYC local gardens. The wind whistles, blowing through my hair creating a messy look.

I watch as the trees wave as little children run pass, smiles hovering their faces instanly lighting it up. Giving them the characteristics of a child.....happy.

A slight breeze fills the air getting stronger with each step I take, my feet carrying me to no destination in particular. It's just me and the wind, wiping my stress away.

The children ran pass as their parents 'tried' to catch them. In actual fact, they were just keeping a slight distance between them and there children to make them think they were faster. Now that's good parenting.

Seeing the smile on their little faces, turned my mood upside down as I think about Hazel.

The big smile that widens when I visit her after work. The way her eyes light up as I made up random stories, whick she complains about beacuse let's just say....I not one of a creative imagination.

A smile takes over my features as I think about my little butterfly. I remember the first time she saw a butterfly, it was the most hilarious thing to see how fasinated one child can be in an insect.

I trail along the path, as I let my mind run in nature's atmosphere, directing me to the city fountain.

A large crowd of people came to view gathering in a circle around the fountain.

"I would like to introduce you, to the amazingly talent. My beautiful bestfriend, Delilah Rose", a familiar voice fills my ears. But what really grabbed my attention, was the mention of Delilah's names. Ignoring the way my heart sped through my chest.

I walk towards the crowd of people, gathered around in a circle. My world froze as I see Delilah standing with a wooden guitar. A strap hanging over her shoulder as her skilled fingers start to create a rhythm.

I couldn't help to notice the way she bit her bottom lip out of nervousness. The way her hair seemed lighter and the sun illuminating her features in the perfect angles. She was made out of pure beauty.

She closed her eyes releasing a sharp breathe, before opening her eyes again.

You make plans and I eh,
I make problems
We were sleeping back to back, knew this day wasn't built to last
Good on paper, picture perfect
Chase too high and fall to fast
Picking up things as we paint it black,
Ooohhhh

She sang sounding like an angel. She had the most angelic voice I have ever heard before. She has amazing vocals. For some reason her voice made me forget all about my stress. It made me calm.

And I wished you would hurt me harder than I hurt you, ooohhhh
And I wished you wouldn't wait for me but you always do,
I've been hoping,
Somebody loves you in the ways I couldn't,
Somebody's taken care of
all of the mess I made,
Someone you don't have to change,
I've been hoping,
Someone will love you,
Let me go

Hailee Steinfeld ~ LET ME GO

And that was the problem, I realised I was too attached to let her go.
