**Delilah**

The waiter soon returns handing us our menus. My eyes widens as I see all the expensive fancy foods, I can't even pronounce.

"Take whatever you'd like, it's on me", Blake's deep voice suddenly says watching with a grin.

"Oh no you don't-"

"Please I insist", he cuts me off.

After about 10 minutes the waiter returns to take our order.

"So what will it be?", our waiter asks with a smile, writing our order in a tiny black book.

"Uh I'll have the chicken wrap please", I say, since the chicken wrap is the only thing I can pronounce without making a fool of myself.

"And I'll have the usual", Blake says and she nobs before taking our menus and walks away.

"So tell me alittle about yourself", I request as he turns his attention towards me. "Since you know, I know very little about you", I say using his own words against him.

"What would you like to know?", he asks with amusement laced in his voice.

"Anything simple....like your favourite colour", I suggest as he thinks for a while.

"It's been a long time since anyone's ask me about the simple things, that make me", he says out of the blue. More to himself really as he thinks about his answer.

"Orange", he says. "Sunset orange, to be specific", he adds.

I smile at his choice. "Interesting choice, that's my grans favourite colour too", I state with a sad smile as he stares at me.

"Do you still see her?", he asks his voice instanly softer.

"I hardly see her since I moved to New York", I say truthfully.

"Why did you move to New York?", he asks curious.

"I moved here to attend the University of Arts, to pursue my singing career I always dreamt of as a little girl", I say.

"I always wanted to become a dentist", Blake suddenly says as I raise my eyebrows. "I always wanted to work in strange people's mouths and extract teeth".

"Seriously?", I ask in disbelief.

"Of course not", he says and I let out a laugh as he joins.

"But seriously, what was your dream as a child?", I ask as my laugh subsides.

"A successful businessman", he states straightening his very expensive suit.

"So you living the life then", I say as he grins showing off his cute dimples.

Our then returns with our food. The smell instanly filling my nose making my mouth water.

"Enjoy", she says before leaving us.

"So back to our simple conversation, what's your favourite colour?", he asks cutting a piece of his perfectly grilled steak.

I was never the girl who enjoyed being the topic of discussion.

"Green", I say instantly and he nobs.

I take a bite of my gorgeous gourmè chicken wrap. "This is delicious", I say truthfully. All the flavours burst together in my mouth, making my tastebuds dance in joy.

"I can tell", he says smiling. He picks up a napkin and brings his hand closer, cleaning the sauce that dripped onto the side of my mouth.

I let out a blush as he smiles at me. "Beautiful", he says softly under his breathe, but loud enough for me to hear.

Shyly I tuck a piece of hair behind my ear as I feel his gaze on me.

"Uhm excuse me Mr Cooper", our waiter returns with a nervous look on her face.

"This better me urgent since you interrupting my lunch", Blake says looking at her annoyed.

"Bethany is here sir, she apologies for being late for lunch", she says looking at Blake and his body instanly tenses.

"Excuse me Delilah", he says pulling out of his chair as he walks to the entrance of the restaurant.

I took another bite of my gorgeous, enjoying each bite. I took this time alone to admire The Cooper's restuarant. Blake's restaurant.

It was gorgeous inside and out. Decorated in plain white and gold. It was simple, but gorgeous. With beautiful chandeliers dangling on the cealing at each table.

"Baby please, don't do this to me", I hear a familiar high pitched voice.

"I want you to leave Bethany", Blake's stern voice fills my ears.

I stay quiet as I can and listen to every word they say.

"Blake honey, you don't mean that", she pushes. Girl just go away, can't you see he's clearly trying to get you away.

"We are done Bethany, we are over", he says loudly as her eyes find mine.

She shoves her way brutality past him and towards me and I  begin to panic.

"You did this", she points I finger towards me.

"I'm sorry what did I do?", I immediately ask confused.

"You ruined my life!", she shouts. "Oh and you ganna pay", she says laughing as she storms out of the restaurant.

"WHAT ARE YOU LOOKING AT!", she screams as everyone turns their attention towards her as she leave a the restaurant.

"Sorry you had to see that", Blake apologises sitting down opposite me, continuing to eat his steak like nothing happened.

"Look I'm so sorry, I didn't know having lunch with you would cost your relationship", I say immediately still fazed about the whole situation that took place literally less than two minutes ago.

"Oh don't worry about her cupcake, I broke up with her this morning. She just didn't take it too well", he explains finding the whole situation amusing.

"As you could probably tell", he says placing a piece of steak into his mouth.

"Why did you break up with her, if you don't mind me asking?", I question finishing my wrap.

I'm a stress eater, and this shenanigan that took place with Bethany kind of made me nervous to the stomach.

"She was always in it for the money and the looks of course", he says smiling.

"She was a very sweet person when I first met her. She was into the donating charity money to the children orphanages. She was a very kind person, until she got the taste of money. She became selfish and nothing mattered anymore. She only thinks of herself and treats others like their lower than her. It's just too much change in one person in a short amount of time, and the change is for the worst", he says sounding hurt as he spoke about her.

"She's not the same person she used to be".

I stared at him as he spoke and I realised something. He had something most men lacked in this world. He was not a nasty, aggorant, self-absorbed  man.

He had a heart.
