**Delilah**

"Goodmornig Miss Rose", my very sweet boss, Mary greets as we entered the cafè.

"Good morning Mary", I return with a bright smile as she give me a tight hug as Danielle entered the cafè a few seconds behind me.

She's so sweet who has the exact characteristics of and grandmother, which reminds me of my gran Rose. My smile dimmed on my face as I thought about the fact of how much I missed her. The way she always has that calm feeling surrounding her with a bright smile on her face, spreadimg positivity around her. She was never on to give up on life. And I intend on being just like her.

"Delilah, I would like to introduce you to my niece", Mary says breaking my thoughts. Soon girl around the age of seventeen, with big ocean blue eyes and long wavy dirty blonde hair tied up into high pony-tail, appears behind her with a shy smile.

"Hi my name is Delilah, it's lovely to meet you", I introduce with a smile, extending my right hand.

"Skylar", she says shyly shaking my hand, her smile automatically widens revealing her dimples, showing off her perfectly white, straight teeth. She was flawless.

"She's visting for two weeks, and I want you to show her around the cafè, since you are the sweetest and my favourite", Mary says dropping her eye in a wink causing Dani to gasp as Skylar and I let out a giggle.

"I'm sure we'll have a blast"

Danielle clears her voice nudging her elbow gently into my back, " oh, with the help of Danielle of course", I say with a smile as a grin appears on Dani's face, causing Skylar and I to laugh.

"So I better get going, I trust you'll be good Skylar", Mary says with a smile as she walks behind the counter to take a few orders. I always admired Miss Mary's love to help others. Even if it meant to work at the age of 72.

Putting on my appron, I turn to Skylar.

"So what would you like to do first?", I ask.

"Let's chat", she answers with a grin.

"I was hoping you would say that", Danielle says leaning in.

"Any gossip", she asks with a grin.

"Let's get to know each other abit better, I'll start first", I say cutting the gossip session as Dani sends me a playful pout.

"As you know my name is Delilah Rose, I am 20 years old and I started working at the cafè for about 2 months and it has been absolutely wonderful. I moved her from California to pursue my dream in becoming a singer", I say making a cup of coffee as Skylar smiles.

"And I live with my bestfriend who also happens to be my room-mate/ bestfriend Danielle, my other bestfriend is Cole. And I'm the only child ", I finished with a grin as Skylar nods.

"And your parent's? ", she asks with taking raising her eyebrows as a frown appears on my face.

"Oh I'm sorry to ask, I didn't mean to make you uncomfortable", she says quickly as my face softens.

"No it's okay, I'll can tell you", I say.

"You don't have to-", she says quickly but I interrupt her.

"What's the use of hiding secrets when we're going to be good friends", I say with a smile as her face lights up.

"My mother died in a carcrash when I was five and my father couldn't handle all of the pain he felt not having my mom around so he left. My gran says I looked like a spliting image of my mother that's why my dad left and I moved with a grandmother a year later.", I say.

She could probably tell I wasn't going further a my eyes began to sting with hot tears.

"I'm really sorry Delilah", she apologizes with a sad smile as I wipe away a tear that escapes down my cheek.

"Enough about me, what about you?", I ask forcing a smile on my face.

"I am 17 at the moment", Skylar says confirming my thoughts. "My bestfriends name is Zoè", I nodded for her to continue.

" I have one big obnoxious brother", she says with a grin. "And I hardly see my parent's", she pauses with a frown on her face.

"And why is that?", Dani asks curious as she lifts her head from the ground, sifting her gaze towards us.

"Business trips, so my brother mostly takes care of me", she says with a sigh.

"Oh here's a customer", I say jumping off the counter, taking the order as Danielle share her story life with Skylar.

"One large lattè", I repeat before quickly making the drink, handing it to a woman wearing a black business suit as she held her cellphone against her ear, with a grumpy expression, but I decide to smile anyway as she scurries away.

Soon after a blonde teenage boy walks in, as Skylar lets out a squeal hidding behind my back.

"What are you doing?", I ask confused as her cheeks began to redden.

"See that boy, who just walked in?", she asks pointing towards him as I nod.

"Well his in my class, his name is Ethan", she say as her cheeks began to darken.

"Go talk to him", I say push her to the front as she pulls me tighter.

"No", she squeal, I let out a giggle.

"It'll be fine", I reassure her as she stares at him, taking a deep breathe.

"You'll be amazing, just stay calm", I instruct as she gave a nervous look, tucking a piece of hair behind her ear.

"Wait", I say loosening her hair, from her tight pony-tail.

"Shake your hair", she bends down shaking her long golden hair as it falls into it's natural wave, framing her face well.

"How do I look?", she asks biting her lip.

"Adorable", I reply with a grin, a smile appears on her face letting out a breathe.

I watch as she walks towards him, his eyes widens as he sees her approach him, placing a wide grin on his face as they spoke for a while.

A few minutes later she returns with a bright smile on her face.

"So....", I start as she let out a loud squeal.

"He asked me on a date", she says with a smile, squeezing me a in a tight hug.

"Thank you so much Delilah", she thanks me, I returned her hug.

"What for?", I ask between laughter.

"If it wasn't for you, I'd never gone to talk to him", she says letting out a breathe.

"Turns out he likes you back", I say with a smile as she does a happy dance waving her hands in the air causing me to giggle.

"It feels great to have a sister", she says looking at me with a smile as I raise my eyebrow.

"You, silly", she says playfully punching my arm before hugging me.

"I'm just kidding little sis", I answer with a grin. My heart warming as she called me her sister.

"There's this yacht party everyone's talking about, wanna go?", Skylar suggests as Danielle dived into the conversation.

"We'll definitely be there", she says with a grin leaning in on my shoulder, causing Skylar and I to burst into laugher.

"I'll look forward to seeing you two then", Skylar says with a grin letting out another squeal with excitement.

"And you Cole", she says through a giggle and he winks at her.
