Syete

"Don't stay awake for too long. Don't go to bed."

I hummed along with the music while skipping pages of my math textbook until I found the page I'm looking for. I glanced at my blank paper and sighed.

I regret not listening to my instructor earlier. In my defense, I was sleepy at that time so I went for a short nap secretly at the back. Up until now, I'm still sleepy (the silence of the library adds more sleepiness in me) but I had to do my task and pass it before lunch. The problem is that,

I don't know how to do it.

"I'll make a cup of coffee for your head."

Aha! Should I get coffee? But the canteen's too far away from here. I heaved a sigh again and doodled "coffee" in my scrap notebook.

"It'll get you up and going out of bed~"

Suddenly, a styrofoam cup was placed along with someone who sat right in front of me. I couldn't help but raise my brow as I looked at the newcomer. As far as I know, foods and drinks are not allowed inside.

"Excuse me," I started. He looked at me and gave me a smile, his broad shoulders blocking the light which the sun's giving me. I squinted my eyes, trying to get a good look at him, and damn. He was handsomely charming. His dimples are in full view, his smile plastered in his rosy lips looks good on him. And his eyes, those greyish eyes I have set my eyes unto looks oddly mysterious.

I cleared my throat and pointed at the cup he placed, "Food and drinks are not allowed here."

He laughed," Didn't know you're that obedient too, Isabella."

"So you know me," I asked in disbelief. "Of course, who wouldn't know Isabella Franches? The top student of the school," he wryly said.  I rolled my eyes.

"Whatever."

I continued reading in my math textbook when he gently pushed the cup into my direction. I raised my brow at him, "What?"

"For someone smart like you, you seem to be dumb too," he said amused.

"Now that's rude, mister?"

"William, call me William," when I didn't reply, he continued, "I apologize if you're offended. I was only joking. You've been here in the library for a while now, and you keep doodling 'coffee' in your notebook. I have a spare coffee since my supposed to be companion didn't come. Thought I'll give it to you instead," he reasoned.

"How can I be sure that you didn't put something in it?"

"You're so skeptic."

I scoffed but still grabbed the cup, gazed, sniffed at it before drinking. I was surprised on what it tastes like, it's my favorite more cream coffee. I caught him looking at me with a ghost of a smile plastered in his soft lips.

Dang raging teen hormones.

We sat there silently, minding our assignments, drinking coffee amidst the busy students pacing around the library, finding books to read. With the music blasting from my earphones, playing death bed.

I tried to take a peek in the book he's reading, he seems so engrossed with it since he didn't bug me for 15 minutes. That's odd, I thought he's gonna disturb me the whole time that we're here, but I guess first impressions aren't that true.  I had a glance at the book title, it's all about reincarnation.

"Do you believe in it?" he asked suddenly, I was left flabbergasted. He rose his gaze and found mine. I'm not that dumb not to know that he was talking about reincarnation. I blinked, "I guess."

"After a hundred years, I finally found you."

I looked at him, weirdly, "For a guy as handsome and charming as you, you sure are strange."

He laughed. Now, why does that sound like music to my ears too?

After finishing my assignment, I drank the coffee up and packed my things.

"Thanks for the coffee," I said. He smiled at me and nodded, "I guess I'll see you later?"

He's so confident. I smirked, "How about I'll see you never?"

He laughed again, "We'll see," then he flashed a proud look at me.

Oh my god. I wrote this like a year ago, I have forgotten what was supposed to happen here. Let's just leave it like that. Also, I'm gonna practice writing again but I can't make promises. Welp, watch doing here still? lmao.
