Juliet Capulet was born with power in her clutches. Ever since she brushed with power at a young age, she knew it was something worth chasing.
The first place Juliet Capulet chased power was to New York City, at the age of seven she knew that her potential was wasted in the Outer Banks, and the only way to continue moving up was to get out. So, she said goodbye to her friends, and moved in with her godmother.
The second place Juliet Capulet chased power was up the rankings of Verona Charter School, until she was ranked first in her school. She had her eyes set towards Harvard, and she knew that the only way that she was going to get there was to be the best, and she was willing to do whatever it took to maintain her number one class rank, something she flaunted with pride.
The third place Juliet Capulet chased power was on the track field. When Juliet Capulet was told in the seventh grade that she was never going to be able to get into a good college if she didn't make herself well rounded, she started running and made varsity track the next year. And if Juliet was being honest, running was the only thing that was keeping her world from turning upside down. When she was running the stupid rivalry between the Capulet's and the Montague's didn't matter, couldn't hurt her while she was hiding safely in New York City.
The fourth place Juliet Capulet chased power was to Lance Morse, with his captivatingly dark eyes and charming grin. The new kid around the block, Lance attended Verona Charter's brother school, and had already wormed his way into the hearts of many of Verona Charter's residents. Maybe that was why Juliet decided to prove that she could win him over. She was sure that her pride had to be involved somehow.
Juliet Capulet was on the top of the world. She had the power, she had the fame, the notoriety, the friends, the perfect boyfriend, the perfect life.
It was only fitting that it all came crashing down around her.
Juliet Capulet had chased power many places, and although she was down she was not defeated. Returning to her father's empire and claiming old family blood wasn't her ideal way to make it to the top, but she would be willing to do whatever it took.
The Outer Banks didn't know what had happened to her in New York City, and she was going to make sure that it stayed that way.
They had no idea what was coming.
