Adam POV

I was taking my bag out of the car when my phone started ringing. With a smile I saw that it was Addie.

"Hi Beauty. How are you?" I asked.

"Hi Handsome. I'm fine. I just finished the meeting and saw you were trying to call. How was your flight?" she replied.

"It was okay, but I miss you already." I said as I headed to the arena where I was going to meet up with the guys before we went to the gym.

"Aww, you are so cute. I miss you too. Good thing it's only 2 days." She said and I heard the giggle in her voice.

"That's true. And what can I say...you've got me hooked. But that's between you and me. What else are you up to today? How's your little know-it-all doing?" I asked.

"Oh, I was just looking at some reviews and product test videos on YouTube. I want to know how the new collection is doing. And then I want to do a few driving lessons with Cori. Since she will soon be 16 and then wants to make her driver's license, we need to practice a bit more. I'm thinking about whether or not to give her a car for her birthday. But that stays between us," Addie replied.

"I'm sure she would be thrilled. And if you need someone else for the driving lessons, all you have to do is say so. Say... I thought the release of the collection was just 2 days ago.... There are reviews already?" I wanted to know.

"Yes, the people they get PR packages from us have a few weeks beforehand and are in a real competition to release the first video. As far as I can tell so far, we have another hit." she said proudly.

"I'm glad to hear that. I'm afraid I have to go to training now. I'll call you again before the show. Oh, and before bed, of course." I replied.

"You do that. Take care of yourself, okay?" said Addie then.

"You'll get me back in one piece. I promise." I said.

"That's what I like to hear. Bye bye Adam." she giggled.

"Bye Addie." I replied with a happy chuckle.

Then I finally went inside and started looking for the boys. But before I found them, someone rushed towards me whom I could well do without. Unfortunately, it was not possible to avoid her.

"What's that?" asked Britt, waving her cell phone in front of my face.

"Good afternoon. This is Instagram. I thought you knew about that?" I replied as I walked past her to continue on my way.

"Thank you professor. I know that. I want to know what you were doing in New York with a total stranger?" she screeched.

It was a picture of Addie and me, side by side, on the red carpet with my arm around her waist and giving her a kiss on the temple.

"First of all, it's none of your business, and secondly, I thought you could read..." I said with a sneer.

"Oh believe me I read what it said.... Adam Cole alongside award winner Addison Blake on the red carpet in New York City this past weekend. Who is this woman, Adam?" Britt demanded to know.

"My God, have you always been this hysterical? I don't have to answer to you anymore, but Addison is my new girlfriend. And now if you'll excuse me. I'm expected," I replied.

"Your new... girlfriend? Are you serious? Already? That was pretty damn fast. Are you sure you weren't hiding something from me?" she asked, her voice dripping with venom.

"Like what? Like you didn't tell me you were having an affair with one of the producers? Unlike you, I waited until we were done dating. I didn't betray you for months! You're just mad that I moved on and don't miss you, unfaithful bitch," I hissed.

"You know what? You're just doing this to get back at me! She's nothing but a rebound girl. We both know you'll come back to me." Britt then replied without responding to my tone.

"Keep dreaming! I've met someone much more precious than you. You're nothing but an ex-file from now on," I said before turning around and leaving her standing in the hallway.
