Juvian's POV

"SIR?" She knocked twice as my secretary entered my office.

"Hmm?" I responded but my eyes are still fixed on the papers that I'm reading.

"You have a meeting in Sujede Corporation after an hour."

Nawala ang atensyon ko sa pagbabasa at napabaling sa wrist watch. "Ah, yes. I almost forgot."

She smiled at me. "Iyan lang po ang schedule ninyo ngayong araw, sir."

Napango ako at nagpaalam na itong umalis.

I glanced ay my watch and decided to get my car's key and drive to that company.

When I set foot on Sujede Corporation, Mr. Sujede's assisstant give me a warmth smile and assissted me all through out.

She's talking random stuff but I did not respond except for a slight smile and nod, I'm not interested though.

"Malapit na po tayo, Sir DM," she said while continously blinking eyes.

Nagpatiuna siyang naglakad at sumunod naman ako. Nang malapit na nga sa opisina ni Mr. Sujede ay napansin ko ang isang babae.

There's something of her that I can't take my eyes off her. She's busy with her phone and when she felt that someone is looking at her, she roomed her eyes and found mine.

"Sir, pasok na po kayo. Inaantay ka na po ni Mr. Sujede."

"Ah, yeah," sagot ko at doon lamang pinutol ang titig ko sa kaniya.

Mr. Sujede stand up and give me a welcoming smile. "Mr. Soliven, it's nice to meet you." He lift his hand up for a shake as he greeted.

I smiled back. "Pleasure to meet you."

We talk about business for a while and the topic drifted away to his daughter that I think that can be beneficial for him since his company is sinking.

He needs my help.

"I'm sorry, Mr. Soliven but I can't do that to my daughter. I don't want her to experience that kind of misery. Gusto kong mabuhay siya naayon sa kagustuhan niya hindi bilang isang taga salba ng palubog na kumpaniyang ito."

"I think that's a no, Mr. Sujede." Inayos ko ang coat bago siya balingan ng tingin.

"I can't take that offer, Mr. Soliven," hinayang na aniya.

"It's okay. Alam kong mahal na mahal mo ang anak mo pero makasasalba ba ng pagmamahal mong iyan pinakamamahal na kumpaniya na kayong dalawa ni Mrs. Soliven ang nagpatayo?" I sounded rude.

I can't help it. Ako na ang lumalapit and this ia the first time that someone is declining my good offer.

I was about to say something when someone entered the office without knocking.

I noticed how tensed she is and her hands balled. I arched an eyebrow when I met her gazed. She immediately avpided my gazes on her and face his dad.

She's saying everything on her face na animo'y batang iiyak na lang bigla dahil sa paninitig nito sa ama.

She then looked at me but she avoided it again. She's cute though.

Tumayo ako and don't want to meddle on their business. Sinulyapan ko ang anak nito. "Mr. Sujede, I think I need to go. Call me if you change your mind," I finally said and take a step however that girl made a move to block my way.

"I agree for your offer," she blurted out.

My brow arched. "And what was my offer?" I mocked.

"Ridaya! Stop it!" Mr. Sujede scolded.

"To be your wife," she answered.

IT'S been 3 fucking years of marriage. I'm a cold husband to her and I fucking hate it. I admit, I've fallen hard for her but I don't know how to say it to her.

"We're done, go home and don't ever show your face to me. Here's the money, leave," I said coldy.

"Leave!" inis na singhal ko. "Make sure that no one sees you."

May sasabihin pa sana siya pero umalis na lang ito ng tuluyan dala ang perang bigay ko.

I brushed my hand in my hair and punched the wall.

Na roon siya sa ilalim ng mesa kanina. Ridaya is there all along. I punched again the wall. Nakakainis ka Juvian!

Lumabas ako sa veranda at napadungaw sa veranda ni Ridaya. I didn't expect her to be there at halos lamusukin ang puso ko nang mapansing umiiyak ito habang nakatingala sa langit.

Nakahiga ito sa isang bean bag at bigla siyang napati gin sa direksyon ko. I immediately hide myself from the dark and when I look at her, she's now sleeping.

Mabilis akong lumabas ng kwarto at dahang-dahang pumasok sa kwarto niya. Unang napansin ko ang pabango nitong nagsusumiksik sa ilong ko.

Kinuha ko ang kumot nito at maingat na binalot ko. Binusog ko ang mata at ilang minuto lang ay hinalikan ko ang labi nito.

"I love you," I whispered.

I walk out the door and called Aileen.

"Kapag nagtanong si Ridaya kung sino ang naglagay ng kumot sa kaniya, you need to answer that you did it. Is it clear?" I seriously said to her.

Napatango si Aileen. "Opo, sir."

"KUMAIN na ba si Ridaya, Aileen?" tanong ko.

"Naku sir, hindi po kumain ng pananghalian yan. Ayaw pong lumabas ng kwarto. Nag-away po ba kayo?"

"No."

"E bakit po nagmumokmok sir? Sinaktan niyo naman po 'no?" intrigang aniya.

"Tawagin mo na siya," pag-iiba ko ng usapan.

"Opo, sir."

When Ridaya is walking, I noticed that something is off on her. My forehead knotted and examined her.

"Why you didn't eat your lunch? Bakit mo ginugutom ang sarili mo?" umpisa ko.

She bit her lip as if she's supressing her smile.

Oh shit! Don't do it like that! My pet is now angry, Ridaya!

"Ano. . . wala lang kasi akong g-gana kanina," she answered.

Tinitigan ko siya ng maigi kung totoo ba ang sinasabi niya. Napadapo ang tingin ko sa bibig nitong kagat-kagat niya. I swallowed hard and avoid my gazed on her. She's tempting me.

Mabilis kong kinuha ang kanin at nilagyan ang plato nito. I really wanted to do this everytime on her. I wanted to kissed her and wanted to hear my name on her moans but I coudn't. I just don't deserve it.

"This was your favorite, right?" patungkol ko sa spicy buffalo wings.

Ridaya nodded in response. I can sense happiness on her eyes for the things I did and ask.

I wanted to smile but I told myself not to.

"You're not going to eat?" kunwa'y puna ko at tumikhim dahil natulala na ito katititig sa 'kin.

We ate together and after that. I glanced on my wrist watch, malapit na ang meeting ko.

Nang matapos kami ay lumapit si Ridaya sa 'kin. She kissed me at halos mabaliw ako sa bango nito.

"Mag-ingat ka papunta sa trabaho, hon," she sweetly said.

My forehead knotted when her skin tpuches mine. Parang hindi normal ang init nito. I wanted to touch her forehead again to know if she have a fever but in the end, I didn't and put my hands on my pocket.

I heaved a deep sigh and chose to walk away from her. Masa labas na ako nang marinig ko ang boses ni Aileen na sumisigaw sa pangalan ko at kay Ridaya.

My heart beat race for a moment and run towards the house. Doon ko rin nakita na walang malay ang asawa ko kalong-kalong ni Alyn.
