PARIDHI'S P.O.V

"Do you know anything about the boy. " officer asked me. I shook my head in a no. My eyes were filled with tears.

"Tell us from the beginning. When you met the boy. " he asked, crossing his legs.

"I was coming from the coffee shop when I met him. He himself approached me and proposed me. I politely turned him down. And then....." I was crying by now. The events from last night were still going in my mind. The scene of his dead body in front of me was going in my head and it felt like I was going to pass out.

"Pari please tell everything to inspector. Don't get scared. " my brother said softly. I nodded.

"Our doorbell rang last night and I opened the door and then...... then......I found his dead body in front of me. " I said. He sighed.

"Anything else which you would like to tell me. " he asked raising his brow.

Should I tell him about the phone call.?? But if that man came to know that I have informed the police. What if he gets angry and hurts my family and friends.??? No no no. I can't do that.

"Officer we got a call from an unknown number last night and we strongly believe that he had killed the boy. " my brother told the officer. My eyes turned to saucers when I heard him say this. I wanted to not tell the police about the phone call but my brother had to just ruin everything.

"Can you show me the number please. " the officer said. I reluctantly gave my phone to him. He looked at the number carefully and then copied the phone number in his own phone.

"I want all the details of this number. And keep the number on survillence. " the officer ordered the constable. He took the phone number in his own phone and went from there.

"Don't need to get scared, we'll trace his number and will arrest him. According to my analysis this is a case of a psycho lover." he said getting up from his seat. His words only scared me more and I clutched my brother's arm tightly.

"A psycho lover. " my brother said confused.

"Umm yes. You know there are some people who are of unsound mind or in simple words a mentally unstable man. I have come across many cases like these. But don't you worry I know what to do with such people. " he said with a grin.

"But what would he possibly want from my daughter. " my mother said. He sighed.

"Well Mam, you see he must have seen her somewhere. And your daughter is really very beautiful, he must have been besotted with her. People who are mentally ill tend to fall for someone's beauty. And he being a mentally unstable man was no exception. So according to my belief he must have wanted to have her all to himself. Maybe that's why he killed the boy out of jealousy when he saw them together. " he said with his hands clasped together at the back. I hide my face in my hands and cried. My brother trying to console my.

The officer said goodbye to us and exited our house. What wrong have I done to anyone??? Why is this happening with me??? I wish this is all a nightmare and I wake up soon. But it isn't. I cannot run from the reality even if I want to.

"Pari why don't you go to sunidhi's house. You will feel better. " my dad said politely. I nodded.

"No she isn't going anywhere. Didn't you hear Dad there is a mentally ill man who is doing all this. I don't want her to get hurt. She will stay in the house until the police finds out who he is and arrest him. " my brother said angrily. I looked at my my Dad innocently. There is no way I am going to be trapped in the house.

"Pranav just because of some psycho guy we cannot keep her trapped here. She is free to go anywhere she wants. " my dad tried to reason with my big brother. But he only got more angry.

"I don't give a damn about anything. She is more precious to me than anything else. And I won't permit her to even step outside the house before everything is fine. " my brother said. I frowned. I know he loves me a lot but still he cannot keep me trapped me.

"Please brother. " I requested with puppy dog eyes. He sighed. I giggled. I know I have wrapped him around my fingers.

"Okay but I will drop you and I will pick you up and you will not go anywhere else. " he said folding his hands. I nodded with a grin. He smiled. I hugged him tightly. He laughed and kissed my forehead.

"Oh God!!!!! What are you saying. " sunidhi yelled. I placed my palms over my ears because she was so loud.
"Can you please not shout. " I asked politely. She frowned.
"You mean to say that someone murdered that cute boy. " she asked with wide eyes. I nodded.
"Did the police find the killer. " she asked. I shook my head.
"They say he must be a mentally unstable man. " I said hesitantly. She sighed.
"Don't worry pari. If he ever tries to harm you I will teach him a lesson. I will kick him in the nuts. " she said getting into the position of fight.
"What is a nut and why will kick the nut. " I asked confused. She huffed.
"Why do you have to be so innocent. " she said laughing. I hit her arm.

After spending two good hours with sunidhi my brother came to pick me up. I said goodbye to her reluctantly. I came back to my house with my brother. The sun had already set and it was beginning to get dark. I decided to take a shower. I went to my bathroom and took a cold shower as it was really hot today. After the shower I wore my comfortable crop top and shorts. I was really getting bored so I decided to stand in the balcony.

I was standing in the balcony and admiring the stars when my eyes caught something in the dark. Because of the darkness I could not clearly see what was it but I was quite sure it was a man staring at me. He was sitting on the bonet of his car. His face was not visible because it was really dark.

I decided to shrug it off and I went inside. My phone rang when I came in. I picked up.
"Hello. " I said.
"Come in the balcony now. " the voice demanded. I at once knew who he was. Sweat beads started to appear on my face.
"Why." was all I could say.
"Because I want see you. " the husky voice said. I was literally scared right now.
"I won't. " I said mustering up all my courage. Sound of a fist slamming into something was heard. I flinched. I have angered him.
"Come in the balcony right now baby girl. Don't make me mad. " he said desperately trying to make his voice sound as polite as possible.
"No. And stop scaring me. " I said with my eyes starting to water.
"WHY DON'T YOU UNDERSTAND. I WILL GET INSANE IF I WON'T SEE YOU. SO JUST COME OUT OR I AM COMING INSIDE. "he yelled making me flinch back. I think I got no other choice. I went to my balcony. I looked at the man in front of me who was engulfed in the darkness. My phone was still pressed to my ear.
"Truly Mesmerizing. "he said with honey dripping from his voice. I looked away in disgust.
"Never look away from me. " the voice said seriously. I looked back to him but this time with tears falling from my eyes.
"You are so beautiful. " he said lowly as if he was saying it more to himself.
"Why aren't you answering. " he asked.
"Because I don't want to. " I managed to say it in between my tears.
"Why not. " he said. He wants to know fine I will tell him how much I hate him.
"Because you are monster. You killed that poor boy now you are threatening me. I hate you. I will always hate you. " I said with disgust. Sound of heavy breathing was heard.
"WHY DO YOU CARE FOR HIM. YOU SHOULD CARE FOR ME. JUST ME. I SWEAR IF YOU WON'T STOP SAYING THAT YOU HATE ME, I WILL KILL YOUR STUPID FRIENDS AND THEN YOUR FAMILY IN FRONT OF YOU TO TEACH YOU A LESSON. " He yelled angrily. I started crying.
"Look..... I..... I am sorry. Please don't cry. I didn't wanted to hurt you. Please stop crying. " he pleaded softly. He really is mentally ill.
"What can I do to make my queen happy???." he asked softly. Now I am getting angry. What does he think of himself?? He has no right to shout on me.
"Just leave me alone. " I said angrily. He chuckled.
"Stop laughing or else I will... I will.... punch you. " I shouted angrily. But he only laughed.
"My kitten has got claws too. Aww no problem I am all yours. Do whatever you want to do with me. " he chuckled. I didn't reply.
"Are you angry with me?? Look I know you are upset but I promise I will do everything you say. I will buy you anything. Anything you say. Just name it. " he said softly. I think I should just ask for something which is impossible to give. Maybe than he will leave me.
"You know what I really hate homework so if you want to do something for me than just remove this homework thing. And one thing more I want my whole house to be filled with chocolates and that too with temptations which is not found here and I want this all by tomorrow morning. "I said by this time I was laughing. No one can do all this, he will definately have to back down.
"You know what I know you won't be able to do all this. So it's better if you leave me alone. Bye. " I said and cut the call.

Only if I had turned back to see the man smiling.
