-Mike's P.O.V-

I growled at the surrounding people as they tried to take her away from me, I'd woken up first to see them trying to get Shard out my arms but I'd lashed out and injured five of them. I now sat in the corner of the room they'd got me in while I cuddled Shard close to me, preventing them from taking her away. They eventually gave up and gave us a room so I could keep Shard safe without them interfering, she was snuffling cutely in her sleep which made me melt inside.

She woke up in another hour, flustered about something, I didn't ask her what she'd drempt about but she was all flustered and kept warily eyeing the door as if waiting for something. Half an hour later someone came in with two plates, I took them cause I didn't trust them with Shard. Shard ate hers and fell asleep afterwards, I ate mine and reached for the water. When I drank it my stomach grew a painful cramp, causing me to faint.

-Shard's P.O.V-

I woke up to alarms and shouting, I saw people running through the window of my room, I looked around and saw a load of destroyed furniture and a hole in the wall which came out outside. I saw a hastily scribbled note from Mike. It read:

Spiked food. Don't know if I can hold this pencil good because it's hard to write when you've got claws growing out you're fingers. Also I seem to be getting bigger by the second. I don't know if I'll be able to see you and think that they've kidnapped you to the nearest city.

Oh god! my feelings for you are amplifying! Please mix the antidote before...

Augh!

The message ended with a scribble that read 'Where is my Shard?!' I shuddered and ran to the lab, I used my hidden psychic powers of telepathy to make the lab technicians mix the antidote. Then I ran out and hotwired one of the trucks. I never drove for toffee cause I don't trust cars, I managed to get out the base before I saw the pandemonium that I was about to drive into.

Well (cookies) this is going to be difficult...
