With his laptop in his lap and a frustrated look on his face , sleeves rolled up , hair messed  in frustration and with head dipped down he was trying to concentrate on a freaking report , but still all his mind could do now was think about her , as if she had taken all over his mind ok not only mind , god this is  actually frustrating.

When suddenly he heard his youngest brothers screeching voice "bhaiyaaaa"
he certainly was  not in a mood to talk to him , anyone for that matter and certainly not in a  mood to answer tons of his questions regarding her . Oh God I hope Annika has not talked to him regarding our argument this afternoon , sending a quick prayer to the lords above he lifted his face from his laptop with a big smile to hide his frustration."hi Rudy! , do you want something from me ? " He asked " no bhaiya , I don't always want something from you" he gave out a small chuckle at his response as Rudra made himself comfortable beside him. "Bhaiya I forgot to ask you , where did you go last night after the party , even Annika didi left soon ." he added with a smug look on his face "Nowhere , I was right here the whole time" I replied quite coolly with a shrug ," no" he protested " I came to your room last night and you were not there , I even checked the kitchen ,when I could not find you , I went to O's room" Shivaay's eyes widened after listening to his brother , was there any possibility that he had gone to see her after being drunk.........no no don't even think about that Shivaay , that can't be possible , if it was possible then you can't make these horrified expressions in front of Rudra , he already is suspicious enough about you and her. "and yaa bhaiya , I forgot to tell you that lady baba had called me because you were not picking up your phone , she wants to meet you urgently , so please give her a call ,ok" said Rudra breaking Shivaay's thoughts , to hell with Tia , right now I am more concerned about what possibly could have happened last night, "ok Rudra , I'll give her a call " said Shivaay closing the door as Rudra left.

Shivaay sighed in relief as Rudra left , sitting on the bed he tried to remember where could he have been last night when all he could remember was being drunk and passing out on the bed. He closed his eyes and started to solve this mystery , by her reaction when he asked her whereabouts of last night , he could clearly make out that she was hurt , he opened his eyes in aghast when her eyes with glistening tears and anger came in front of him , maybe it was he maybe... , who went to her house last night after being drunk and did inappropriate things with her , that's what seems from her reaction....oh fuck , if that was true then why the hell he couldn't remember anything?????
He took a deep breath and closed his eyes again chanting "focus Shivaay focus , just try and remember something... anything."
"What the fuck" he swore as he saw a glimpse of himself climbing her room window and all the things started to become clear..........the conclusion of all this was that he was a complete
"Jerk".

Later that night..

Walking on the deserted sea shore , his mind was still replaying all the happenings of the day he so wanted to go to her house and apologize , apologize for bringing tears in her eyes again , which pained him the most .  The soft lingering sound of the sea was giving him the much needed solace , still lost in his own world  he continued to walk when ......
"Thud"
rubbing his hand on his  forehead he cursed under his breath as he banged in a woman
" Crazy woman , can't you just look around and walk"
" Aankhein hain ya button  " she replied back whislt rubbing her own forehead and scrunching her nose.
His breath stopped at  her words , was it.....her?
He removed his hand to see who the girl was . He blinked twice no thrice ,
was it actually her , woah fate was actually on his side today . A cheeky grin adorned his face now . Though he didn't mean to smile but he could not stop . She was still busy rubbing her forehead with her palm , he immideately composed himself ,  and asked her in serious tone "Annika , you?" as her mind registered the voice she raised her face in shock , " may I know , what are you doing here in the dead of the night , alone?" he asked her in a dry tone , " I could ask you the same Mr Oberoi , but guess what , I am not in a mood to argue , so would you please get aside " and with that she pushed him slightly by his shoulder and started walking away no  practically running away from there .  He started following her in long  strides and said " I was about to come to your place to apologi .." she turned and cut him in between by saying "  are you trying to say that , you were about to barge in my house again , and do inappropriate things with me again , and then very conveniently forget them again and cherry on top blame them on me again , right?" , " No no , you're getting me wrong , I was saying that I was coming to your house to apologize , so can we talk please? " She simply sighed at his words and sat on a nearby bench , he walked towards her and sat beside her " I was simply gonna say that..." he paused for a moment after saying this "that..." she repeated looking straight into his blue eyes
come on Shivaay you can do this , just simply say you're sorry , he tried to increase his confidence " that..I'm
sor.. sorry" saying this he closed his eyes unable to face her , she could actually see genunity on his face , and as always her heart melted but she said nothing , she let out a deep audible breath and he opened his eyes , his heart started beating faster as his blue eyes met with her beautiful brown ones , " so.." he said casually "so.." she repeated in his exact same tone ," so now , may I know what are you doing here in the dead of the night , alone?" , " Why don't you answer this question first " she said staring straight into his eyes , " ok , so... I was coming back after meeting Tia " he said this and stopped to glance at her face once and continued , " Tia broke our alliance , we didn't even get a chance to talk before the announcement of our engagement , so today I got to know that she already loves someone , and is quite happy " a small smile adorned her lips after hearing this when she thought he wasn't looking . Is she actually smiling he thought he leaned forward to check if she was smiling at the news , while she thought he was looking behind her so she turned her head in the direction she thought he was looking , but little did she know that he  was looking at her face , an involuntary chuckle escaped from his lips as he thought that she was adorably stupid . She turned her head with narrowed lids at that. He composed himself and conveniently changed the topic by asking " now, may  I know what are you doing here ?" , " actually , I was coming back from the hospital" she said in a low voice , " what , what happened to you?" he said with shock and concern in his voice , " nothing" she replied nonchalantly , " then why the heck were you at the hospital" he asked , she turned her head to look at  the sea glistening in the moonlight , she paused for a moment let out a deep sigh and said " my elder brother is suffering from leukemia , his condition is quite critical , it's been a long time since he has been admitted to the hospital , I go to  meet him thrice a week , the doctors have lost hope , he has lost hope " she said this and glanced at him to find that he was starting at her face listening patiently , she took a deep breath and continued " later this evening I had this huge argument with him , again , he thinks that I waste a lot of my time on him and he thinks that I have already wasted eight years of life  , wasted can you believe what he said , he said that I should live my life and leave him to die peacefully  , he was the one who took care of me after our parents death , inspite of me being his adoptive sister , how can I just let him die"  as these words escaped her lips a lone tear desecended down her brown eyes and involuntarily Shivaay's hand reached her cheek and rubbed it away , she looked at him for a second and then again faced towards the sea to continue " you know what sometimes I also feel that I should live my life , because in these eight years somewhere I have lost the real Annika , I also want to do something crazy , something carefree in life , like,  sing like a maniac in public , swim in the middle of the sea" she paused and bit her lip  unsure of what she was about to say next but nonetheless she said it " kiss someone passionately , in all my senses , go to a strip club " , " a strip club" he asked with a teasing smile,  " yes a strip club" she replied , " I also want to , dance like a free bird and become number one in someone's life" she added closing her eyes " anyways all these are just going to remain wishes , I don't know why I am telling you all this but still it feels good after sharing all this with you Mr Oberoi" she said , he simply placed one of his warm hands on her hand  , as if acknowledging her words and she gave him her brightest of smiles , her smile took his breath away , all he wanted to do in that moment was to sweep her off her feet , pull her in his arms and kiss her senseless , he immediately blinked his thoughts away , and stared deep in her eyes with a small smile .
Is this a mark of a new beginning...?
