Alyssa's Pov

"Lyssa!!!!!! Get up it's time to go to school!!" Ian Hecox aka my seriously annoying brother shouted.

"Okay jeez!!!!! I'm up!!!" I yelled back.

I got up and took a shower. I did my makeup and picked out my outfit.

I wore a black short sleeve shirt that had a sparkly gold music note in the middle. I wore my red skinny jeans and put my hair in a ponytail.

I put in my gold watch and my red flats. Perfection. Well to me anyways.

I rushed downstairs and grabbed a granola bar. It was already 7:45 and school started in fifteen minutes.

I rushed out to see my brother Ian get into Anthony Padilla,his best friend's car.

"Dude, can I hitch a ride? I really don't want to be late and Beth is gonna kill me if I don't get to her tryouts! I'll pay you back I promise!" I said huffing.

Ian smirked, "Anthony, should we let her?"

Anthony turned around and looked at me. I blushed at little. Anthony Padilla was my . . . Well crush.

He was the hottest guy in school. But he was dating someone and he was popular. Also, it made Ian popular so I was left behind in the dust.

I remember when we were all 10 years old. We all used to do everything together.

We would go to the park, circus and the beach. Then I remembered a memory which made my heart break in two.

~ Flashback ~

"Lyssa, you should totally ask out Anthony!"Bethany Morgan aka my best friend told me.

We were in Eighth grade and Bethany wanted me to date. So I was forced to do this.

Which I didn't mind since I totally loved Anthony.

"Okay fine! But what if he says no?" I ask her. She looked at me and smirked.

"Well here's your chance to find out." She said. "What? What do you mean find-" I cut off.

She pushed me in Anthony direction and I bumped into him.

"Oh my gosh! I'm so sorry." I said nervously.

He flashed me a smile, "It's okay. Do you need something?"

"Umm . . . Yeah. Do you maybe want to-" I was cut off when Kalel Cullen, one of the popular girls in school came up to us.

"Oh, hey Anthony. Do you maybe want to go out?" She said sweetly.

I narrowed my eyes at her. I hated Kalel. She was my number one enemy since she made out with my first boyfriend.

I was expecting Anthony to say no since he knew what she did to me.

"Uh . . . Sure Kalel. Let's meet at Starbucks." He said dreamily.

She smirked at me and mouthed the words 'I win'.

I could feel the tears in my eyes. I ran out of the building and cried beside my trusty tree that I named Jerry.

Jerry was there every time my boyfriend dumped me, cheated with me or . . . Was taken by Kalel.

Grrr, I hate Kalel Cullen!

~ End of Flashback ~

Ever since that unfaithful day I stopped talking to Anthony, looking at Anthony, okay I haven't stopped doing that but whatever.

Anyways, it makes me sick to my stomach when I see Anthony and Kalel together.

I let out a deep breath. He was probably going to say no, so I took out my phone and places it in my pocket to text Beth that I would be late.

"Okay, sure. Get in Alice." He said. Did he purposely say my name wrong? What a loser. A hot loser to be in fact.

"Ugh, why am I wasting time on you guys? I'm just going to walk to school. Thanks for nothing!" I yelled to them while running to school.

"You welcome, Lyssa!!!" Ian said. Grr, I hate having a brother.
