*Quint's POV*

Why didn't I tell my friends about my sexuality, you may ask? It's because they might not be my best friends anymore. I find out that I was gay when I was in 5th grade. I came out to my parents and they accepted me. My grandparents, uncle, aunt, and my aunt's parents are homophobic and they don't talk to my family anymore because of that. When I found out about being gay, I dumped my "girlfriend," and she's also homophobic like the rest of my family. I need a plan about coming out to my friends. They don't know about it, but I will tell them about it and hopefully, they will accept me, like my parents.

*Nobody's POV*

Jack, Dirk, and June are planning to have a go-kart race with the monsters. "Hey, guys, have you seen Quint?" Jack asked. "Don't know," Dirk replied. "Me neither," June responded. "OK, we need Quint on our side for the go-kart race," Jack continued. Dirk and June nodded in agreement. Then, Quint came along. "Quint, buddy," Jack said as he hugged him. "Hey, guys," Quint responded, "what are you guys doing?" "Oh, just preparing for the go-kart race this afternoon," Dirk said, "we need you on our side to beat Bear, Skealka, Globbet, and Chef." "Oh, OK," Quint replied.

He took a deep breath and thought, Here goes nothing. "Hey, guys," Quint said, "I have a secret that I have been keeping for a long time. I hope you accept it..." "Don't worry," Jack said, "we'll accept you anyway." "Yeah," June added. Quint smiled and then, sighed. "Guys, I'm gay," Quint said. "What?" Dirk asked, "you're not into girls?" Dirk knew what gay means. "In a dating relationship way," Quint continued, "I can still be friends with girls, but I can't date them because I don't find them cute. I find boys attractive and cute." The kids don't say anything in a moment. Then, Jack sighed and said, "Quint, gay or not, you're still our friend." "Yeah," June added, "besides, we're still friends until the end." Quint smiled as Jack, Dirk, and June hugged him. "Now, come on," Dirk said, "it's almost 1:00. We need to work on preparations for the race." The group started working while chatting and laughing.
