george stared at the mirror. there was no way in hell he'd be able to fix that kind of bruise in three days.

anger spiked up in him. ringo was his boyfriend, not that asshole's! his hand curled into a fist, blue and purple knuckles turning white.

he went to the freezer and snatched a cold piece of ham, pressing it into his face. he remembered that one time he stood up for ringo, the early days when they were dating, and ringo wouldn't stop rambling about how he didn't have to. he only stopped when george kissed him, immediately shutting up as he always did. that was their first kiss.

he immediately felt the familiar feeling of guilt well up in his chest and he pressed it down. i was drunk, he repeated over and over. being drunk makes you do things.

he thought about a plan to get ringo out of john's little jealous grasp. they were planning to move in anyways if lemon-head didn't swoop in, pulling the "bestfriend" card. maybe he could take him to that favorite pasta place of his? yeah, and get him into a comfy state and they'll be okay again! no more doubts and no more cunning, long-nosed bestfriends!

he smirked at the thought ringo falling into his arms and john's heart breaking in the background, the curtains falling finally.

and so he snatched his phone, and sent him a text.
