"george texted me." ringo said, head turning a bit on john's lap as he checked his phone.

john hummed, eyes not leaving the page of the book he was reading.

"he asked me what movie i wanted to see." ringo nibbled on his bottom lip, looking up at him. "is it bad that i want to see zootopia?"

john snorted back a laugh. "no, not really." he said, a poorly-hidden grin in his face. "but it is a kid's movie."

ringo huffed. "oh come on! it's a nice movie, you've seen the trailer! it's interesting and you know it. 9 out of 10 rating!"

john gave him an "ehh" expression. "if george loves you, he'll let you watch it. even if it is a children's movie."

"of course he does." ringo grumbled. "wait and see."

john watched with amusement as ringo's fingers quickly glided the screen. then after a few seconds ringo's eyes widened.

"well?" john asked, placing the bookmark. he didn't like folding the page as it "harms" the book.

"he wants to watch the batman v superman one." ringo muttered, tossing the phone dejectedly on the table. john felt a twinge of guilt.

"hey," he started. "we could watch it, if you like. i'll even buy the original copy."

"you'd do that for me?" disbelief was written all over ringo's face because, wow, john rarely bought original copies of movies. he always pirated. "you won't mind even if it's a children's movie?"

"i marathoned your whole disney collection with you, ritch. this couldn't get even more kiddy than that." john said nonchalantly, opening his book once more and taking the bookmark out.

ringo smiled at him. "thanks johnny."

he smiled back, eyes twinkling behind his glasses.

"no problemo, ritchie."

also i personally think that disney-pixar-dreamworks etc. movies is for EVERYONE my dad is like 36 and he still likes watching it with me :DDD
