when tyler wasn't back by lunch, brendon instantly called the police.

he lied, telling them tyler had been missing for over twenty-four hours and they needed to find him.

he gave them tyler's last name, also informing them that his father was abusive. it was urgent for them to find tyler. he just knew something was wrong.

they thanked brendon, promising to visit mr. joseph's house first.

brendon didn't care if tyler would get mad at him for telling. he was worried sick. he wished he could do something, anything, but he didn't know what. all he could do was sit and wait.
