JULIAN DECKER. ♠️

CHAPTER 2: PERFECTLY IMPERFECT

JUST FRIENDS.

"Alright, my lovely family, i am off." I told them as i ran down the stairs and to my mother who was in the kitchen making dinner.

"You sure you won't wait to eat dinner?" She asked as I wrapped my arms around her from behind, resting my head on her shoulder as she sliced some carrots.

"Meh, I need to go pick Lu up and then we'll go together to Xavier's." I told her and kissed her cheek before making my way to the fridge.

"Lu?" Olivia asked and grimaced in disgust as she made her way to the kitchen where we were. Olivia is my nine year old sister who seemed to dislike my girlfriend just as much as like Vincent did.

"Mmhmm." I ignored her as I took out a bottle of water from the fridge.

"What about Vincent, aren't you picking him up?" Olivia asked and I shook my head.

"He's not coming."

"Why?" Mom questioned with a small frown.

"He doesn't like some of my friends."

"Well, he's not the only one," Olivia said and Mom chuckled. "Out of all your friends, I like Vincent better."

"That is because you've known him all your life." I chuckled.

"Or maybe because he is amazing and super smart." Olivia shrugged. "Your other friends might be fun and different but they are all annoying." She grimaced in disgust.

"You haven't met all my friends." I chuckled.

"I don't need to, the ones I have met are not really interesting, and they talk too much."

I chortled. "Vincent talks too much too."

"Yeah, but at least he makes a lot of sense every time he opens his mouth, your friends don't."

"Olivia!" Mom stopped what she was doing and turned to her with furrowed brows. "That's enough bothering your brother, now go do your homework."

"I've done them."

"Well, go make sure you did it right and stop terrorising your older brother." Mom instructed and I chuckled.

"Ugh." Olivia groaned. "I don't even know why you are dating Lu when there is V-"

"Olivia." Mom called and turned to face her. "Do I need to beat you with a spoon?"

"Bye!" She said and ran out the kitchen and up to her room.

I laughed as I watched her skedaddle out of the kitchen.

"Ignore your sister, I don't know why she is always looking for trouble." Mom said as she turned to me with a smile. "Have you asked Vincent again? I'm sure he would wanna go with you."

"Ma, you know Vincent chooses the kind of parties he'll go to with me."

"True." She chuckled. "I like that kid."

"Who doesn't?"

"Just try asking him again." She said, and with a smile I took out my phone. I took a photo of myself with a sad pout, I quickly sent it to him hoping somehow he would change his mind.

Me:

What am i gonna do without you
at the party?

I waited for his response and once I saw him typing i just knew deep down he was gonna turn me down, but yet I hoped he would come with me.

Lockhart 🐼:

You do what you always do;
drink, dance, laugh and make out with Luciana.

I rolled my eyes and scoffed.

Asshole.

I smiled

"Everything good?" Mom asked and I nodded.

"Yup. He declined." I told her.

Me:
I hate you.

Lockhart 🐼:

Me too, Beastie.
Goodnight.

"Well, leave the young man alone then." Mom chuckled. "He doesn't have time for parties."

I frowned. "But you just said to ask him."

"Shh." She said and I laughed.

Me:
❤️

"Whatever, ma." I kissed her cheek again and locked my phone, putting it in my jacket pocket. "Love you, byeeeee." I said and walked out of the kitchen, heading for the door.

"Drive carefully!"

"Of course!"

My family was fond of Vincent, ever since we became friends in third grade we had been inseparable. He was the brother i I never knew I needed, the best friend anyone would die to have. He always listened to me and was always there for me every time i needed him.

Even Olivia had fallen for him.

Vincent and I have had a couple of arguments in the past that led to us not talking to each other for eighteen hours, we could never go a complete day without talking to each other and always apologised for our stupid arguments.

Vincent's father had left him when he was nine, it had troubled him in school and he would always cry because his father had just disappeared all of the sudden. He had told me he had to smile when he was at at home so his mom would not be so sad.

I still remember the day we met like it was yesterday, it was during lunch and little Vincent was on the floor while three little kids taunted him like some stupid thugs, and they had thrown his juice-box away. Why were they bullying him? No reason. I will never understand how little kids could bully someone.

Vincent cried and asked them to leave him alone but they kept laughing and treating him like shit until I intervened, I wanted to look as cool as batman back then, so i told them to leave him alone. They just laughed and went back to taunting him, so i pushed them aside. One got a punch, the other got a kick while i stood in front of Vincent who sat on the floor with awe.

Then one of them thought it was funny to say i was covered in shit because i was dark skinned, I already knew what racism was and I was not going to let a kid call me that. So I jumped him and a ten year old broke his nose while his other friends abandoned him. The teachers separated us, my parents were called in but who cares? I didn't exactly have much friends anyway, at such age most kids were racist as hell, being brought up that way by their parents.

The next day at lunch, i was sitting alone and Vincent brought his home made lunch to my table and sat across me. "Hi, I am Vincent, you um—you beat those boys who were—troubling me yesterday." He stuttered, his face red with shyness.

I smiled at him. "I know, I'm Julian."

He smiled. "Nice to meet you Julian, my mommy said to say thank you for jumping in."

"What's your last name?" I inquired.

Vincent looked confused but answered anyways. "Lockhart? Why?"

"Mine is Decker." I told him and he grinned.

"Decker." He repeated

"Lockhart." I replied and we both laughed.

And since then we became inseparable, from sitting across each other, we sat beside each other and did everything together. He thought i was the one who had saved him but he also saved me back then by sitting with me and becoming my best friend, the one person who made me smile more than I should.

He was funny and crazy, yet careful and observant.

I loved that dickhead.

My father had a company of his own, he was barely around but was always about education, not that i ever failed anyways but meh, sometimes you forget he exists until he shows up.

➿♠️➿

I rang the bell outside Luciana's house and took a step backwards, diving my hands into my pants pockets as i waited. A couple seconds later and the door opened and Mrs. Carmen came to view. Mrs. Carmen was Luciana's fifty year old maid, she had been working for them for over five years, so I was told.

I smiled at her. "Mrs. Carmen."

She smiled widely once she saw me. "I have told you to just call me Carmen," she said as she opened her arms for a hug.

"I sometimes forget to not be respectful." I said with a chuckle and hugged her. "I missed you." I said and kissed her cheek.

"I missed you too, child. How was your holiday?" She asked as she pulled away and moved aside for me to walk in.

"Beautiful. And yours? You went back to Spain, didn't you?"

Mrs. Carmen nodded with a big smile. "Yes." She replied as she walked in, closing the door behind her. "I went home to my family and I did tell them about you." She said as she locked arms with me as we walked.

"You did?"

"Mmhmm."

"And how are they? Uh, Paulo, Pablo, María, Ana, Martín and um....Camilla?"

Mrs. Carmen smiled with excitement . "You remember their names!"

"Of course." I grinned.

"Mrs. Bates, you won't believe who is here." Mrs. Carmen said as she took me to the dinning room where Luciana's mom was, reading a magazine with a glass of red wine in her right hand.

Luciana's parents were filthy rich, while my family was also very rich, Luciana's were two times richer. Their living room was the size of someone's home, they had chandeliers almost everywhere and one jar in their house was able to pay half of someone's tuition fee.

Mrs. Bates looked up from her magazine and smiled once she saw me. "Ah, Julian, it is really nice to see you again. Don't i get a hug?" She asked, her perfect short brunette hair was like that in the 70s, she was dressed in a black knee length dress. I made my way towards her and gave her a hug while she sat, she patted my back gently and I pulled away.

"It is nice to see you again, Mrs. Bates. I trust Hawaii was amazing."

"Ah yes," she smiled. "It is a shame that you couldn't come with us."

"Nah, I didn't want to intrude, it was a family vacation anyways."

"And you are part of this family, you are dating my daughter and treating her right." She said and I smiled at her.

"I am doing my job as her boyfriend, making her happy." I replied and Mrs. Bates smiled.

"That makes you family."

"Mom, are you troubling my boyfriend?" I heard Luciana ask, I turned around to see her dressed in a black skinny, reap jeans and a—i don't know what to call it but it was wrapped around her boobs only and she looked like a hot assassin, she had a leather jacket in her hand and a red purse in the other.

Luciana noticed me staring and smirked at me, I swear she was the most beautiful girl in the world. She made her way towards me and kissed me on the lips before turning to her mother. "We will be off now."

"Be back early." Her mom said and Lu just pulled me along with her.

"Bye, Carmen." I waved as Lu dragged me along with her. Once we got out, she put on her leather jacket and turned to me.

"See why we are made for each other," She said as she ran her hand down my face which confused me. "We are matching." She said and I looked down at my outfit and she was damn right.

I was dressed in black, skinny, reap jeans as well and i had a black top and a leather jacket. We were really matching and I didn't even know.

"You are so sexy." I told her and she smiled.

"I know, babe, I know." She said and began making her way to my car, throwing her brunette hair backwards.

JUST FRIENDS

Ten minutes after making out in my car, we both got out and made our way to Xavier's house, people who didn't know his house before would be able to tell because it was the loudest in the street. With my arm around Luciana's shoulders and hers around my waist we walked up to his door, we walked past a couple kids at the entrance who were either talking about shit or making out. I had thought we were early but hell, the party was already fire. I smiled once i saw a couple of my friends, shaking and hugging them.

Xavier's house was the biggest in his street which also meant he came from money, his house was pretty big, the music was freaking loud and there were already a few tipsy people, a lot of students were dancing, some making out and others grinding, definitely not dancing.

"Heyyy!!!" I suddenly felt a slap on my back before a hand was around my shoulder and the other around Luciana, it was Xavier's. "You made it!"

I chuckled. "Hey, Xavier."

"Arrison's high power couple is here!!!" Xavier shouted and then there was hailing.

What was this embarrassing shit? I could imagine what Vincent would say to this, he would probably snort and take a sip from his drink before saying; "i thought this school had at least one percent of smart people, guess i was wrong."

And i smiled at the thought that Xavier thought i was listening to whatever he was saying.

"Hey! Where's Vincent?" Xavier asked me.

"Uh, he couldn't make it." I told him and he furrowed his brows as if he had expected it.

"Of course he couldn't. Anyways, he shouldn't always be in his books."

"Says the boy that comes from money, how could you understand." I scoffed.

"Whatever." He wave it off. "Anyways, I'm glad you are here with Lu," he smiled at her and she pushed his hand off her shoulder and fixed her hair like he had roughened it. "Vincent is a distraction anyways," he said and i frowned. "Yo! Derek!" He called out. "Get them some drinks." He said and turned to his left. "Hey, mami! You wanna dance?" He asked and walked away.

"Ugh." Lu rolled her eyes in disgust, a student suddenly walked up to us with two bottles of beer, he handed one to me which i thanked him politely for. He gave the other to Lu but she just stared at it and at him with an annoyed expression. "Do i look like i drink beer?"

"Lu." I scolded her and turned to the boy. "Thank you." I said and took the bottle from him, with a small smile he walked away.

"Seriously?" She turned to me. "You didn't even wait for me to tell him what i wanted."

"Because he ain't no errand boy." I replied her. "Now come on, let's go get you something." I said and put my arm around her shoulder but she shrugged it off angrily and walked away. "Come on, Lu!!"

She flipped me the bird as she walked away and i scoffed, i opened the bottle with my teeth and took a long sip from it. I walked past the group of teenagers who were dancing or making out and headed for Xavier's kitchen. I placed the bottles on the table and took out my phone to text Vincent. I took a photo of the party and another of me with the bottle of beer and a wink, i sent it to him with a text that followed.

Me:

You really are missing out, i just saw Fred making out with the blonde from science class.

He didn't read it immediately but a minute later, he began to type and i wondered what he was going to say.

Lockhart 🐼:

Oh would you look at that, i am having fun too. 🤩

A photo entered a second later, it was of him on the desk in his room wearing a peer of reading glasses and holding a pen. The dummy was reading and doing math equation at past nine?

Me:

You call that fun?
You are such a dork. 😑

Lockhart 🐼:

Isn't that why i am loved? Xx

I smiled and was about to reply when Xavier walked into the kitchen. "Yo, Julian!" He called as he walked over to me and placed his hand on my shoulder. I quickly locked my phone and kept it in my pocket, flashing him a smile. "Beer pong?"

"Uh, i don't think i-"

"Ugh'!! Come on! I've gotten better since our last time and i will defeat you tonight." He said and gulped down his drink.

I laughed. "Really now?"

"Mmhmm." He nodded.

"Alright, let's go then."

He threw his hands up in victory and let out an excited yell. "BEER PONG, PEOPLE!!" He announced as we both walked out of the kitchen, a smile on my face.

We went out of the house and to the backyard where his swimming pool was, a couple teenagers were in the pool, either swimming or making out, normal teenagers stuff. We walked over to the  table that was gathered by a few of our fellow teammates, Xavier asked them to move aside and looked at me with a big grin. "Alright, Julian, choose your team."

JUST FRIENDS

Xavier's party was a blast, it was a good way to resume school. I made sure not to drink a lot since I was gonna be driving Lu and myself home,  and besides I never lost when it came to beer pong so I didn't have anything to worry about. Lu wasn't drunk either, she had managed to not drink more than she could handle and by the smile on her face I could tell she had a pretty good time.

"I am really glad Xavier threw this party." Lu said as she turned to look at me with the most beautiful smile. We were both in my car which was parked right in front of her house, it was something past three in the morning and I couldn't take her home with me. "You have no idea how much I have missed going to parties with you."

"Oh, I think I could tell tonight." I said with a laugh, and she laughed as well.

"Yeah?"

"Yeah." I nodded. "You dared not to leave me alone."

"I didn't want any of these bitches stealing my man, I needed to remind them who still owns you."

I smirked at her. "Like they would dare make a move on me with you beside me, giving them the deathly eyes." I said as I played with her hair and she laughed.

"It's just, you were mostly on your phone all night."

"That is not true."

"I was by you side, remember?" Lu cocked her brow at me.

I sighed. "Okay, fine. I was texting Vinnie."

"Oh,"

"Yeah, I just worry about him, you know? I don't want his life to just flash by before him, he hasn't exactly done anything yet, anything....fun."

"Well, he is Vincent. Some people like to have fun and some people are just destined to be.....Vincent."

I gave her a look. "What does that even mean?"

"I'm just saying," she shrugged. "If Vincent don't want to party and focus on getting A's then leave him."

"You know not everyone is as privileged as us, especially Vincent. You have a mansion, I have a big house, we have money and all that, Vincent doesn't have any of that."

"Do you want me to write him a cheque?"

I chuckled. "He wouldn't take it anyways."

"But it's like charity, like me being...nice, cause he is your best friend."

"Let us not use the word Charity."

Lu rolled her eyes. "Whatever. Now, enough about him and let us focus on us."

Lu moved closer to me and I leaned towards her as well, my lips against her while my hand found it's way to the back of her head, pulling her in while she held my arm.  I kissed her gently, her lips didn't have any lipstick on them anymore and now she tasted a little like vodka. Lu slowly traced her hand down to my pants and began unbuckling my belt.

"Are you sure?" I asked her in a whisper. "In front of your parent's house?"

"Well, they can't exactly see us, since your car lights are off and it is literally three am." She said as she unzipped my pants.

I chuckled, pulling her back into a deep kiss. She bit my bottom lip which hurt a little and with a smirk on that pretty face of hers, she went down on me and took my dick in her mouth.   She began sucking me, taking my whole erect dick into her mouth, her head moving at a rhythm as she sucked me off. I gripped onto her hair with my left hand while she did what she did, my eyes rolling back as I tried to remain silent.

God, I missed her.

JUST FRIENDS

NEXT MORNING.

"Good morning," I greeted as I made my way to the dinning, dressed in grey sweatpants and a white shirt. "I smell pancakes."

"There is also french toasts and waffles." Olivia quickly added.

I took a seat beside her and flashed my sister a smile. "Good morning, Olivia." I said as I placed my backpack on the floor, close to my chair.

"What is good about the morning, Julian? Nothing spectacular has happened." Olivia said as she continued eating.

"Olivia, you are supposed to say good morning back." Mom said as she placed a plate of pancakes before me.

"Sorry. Good morning." She flashed me a fake smile.

I chuckled.

"Did you sleep well? What time did you come home?" Mom questioned as she took a seat across us.

"Something around 3:30, 4am." I replied, stuffing my mouth with food afterwards so I wouldn't answer any of her questions.

Her eyes widen. "Four am." She blinked. "Are you crazy? Do you know what such sleeping schedule can cause you?"

"I don't do it everyday ma, it was just this once, cause of the party." I said as I chewed.

"Ew, are you an animal? Swallow first." Olivia said.

"I don't like you coming home by four in the morning, Julian. Never again." Mom warned and I nodded.

"Sorry, ma."

"You worry too much, mom. He is like....old now. Take lessons from Vincent on how to sleep at four am and wake up looking stunning." Olivia said.

"Olive, don't make me come for you." Mom said.

"But mom, if only he hadn't gone like sweet Vincent then we wouldn't be having this discussion, but no, he had to go with Lucrecia." She grimaced. "Well, what do you expect from a man who could smell only pancakes and not the french toast or waffles that are also there." Olivia scoffed.

"Olivia." Mom called, while stiffening a laugh.

"Sorry. Just facts."

I gave Olivia a look. "Why do you hate Lu so much?" I asked with a chuckle.

"Because she's your girlfriend, and because Vincent doesn't like her either."

I cocked a brow at her. "Vincent told you this?"

"No. But he grimaces in disgust every-time and I can't blame the boy, I also can't stand her every time she opens her mouth." Olivia replied.

"Okay, that is enough talking, young lady. That girl is your brother's girlfriend and you will respect her." Mom said, pointing a fork at her.

"Respect is reciprocal, Mom. You always said that."

I just laughed because it was funny, she sounded a little like Vincent when it came to talking about Lu. They really both hated her, and didn't even know her like I did.

"Well, Lu is here to stay for a long time." I said and stuck out my tongue at her.

She did the same almost immediately. "If you marry her, our relationship is over." She said and mom sighed.

"Sometimes I think you forget you are just nine years old." Mom said to her.

"And yet I am smarter than your oldest child." Olivia replied.

"Shut up before I ship you to Israel." I said and she pouted.

"Meanie."

"Can I taste your pancakes?" I asked, moving my fork towards her plate.

Olivia let out a small scream and slapped my hand with her fork. "Don't even dare."

"Ow!" I laughed, withdrawing my hand.

"You two are really something." Mom said with a laugh.

➿♠️➿

I got out of my car and threw my backpack over my shoulder, locking the car door after I had gotten out.  With a smile on my face, I began walking towards the school when Ken approached me.

"Hey, Julian! How you doing?"

"Ken. Hey! You okay? What's up?"

Ken nodded. "I am. Um, I kinda need relationship advice from you."

I frowned a little. "From me? Uh, you...you have a girlfriend?"

"Maybe." He smiled.

"Oh, okay, go on then." I said with a chuckle, and then spotted a classmate of mine. "Katherine, hey." I waved with a smile.

Katherine flashed me a smile so fake, it looked so real. "Good morning, Vincent." As Ken opened his mouth to say hi, she glared at him. "Don't even think about it or I will cut out your tongue." She said and walked away.

"What is up with her?"

I laughed. "It's Katherine, she hates everybody."

"Well, except you."

"That is not a lie."

"I will stab you one day." I heard a familiar voice say.  I looked ahead to see Vincent having an argument with his brother, my smile grew at the sight of them.

Bickering again.

"Hey, I'll see you later, yeah? How about you seek that advice during lunch?"

Ken nodded. "Sure." He patted my back and went away.

I began making my way towards the Lockharts and their voices became more clearer.

"Bitch, you are pissing me the fuck off, give me my cellphone or I will slit your wrists before you could even laugh right now." Vincent said, his hand out.

"You are such an evil baby." Victor snorted. "I don't have your cellphone, Ursula."

"Vic-"

"Don't you guys ever get tired of arguing?" I asked as I stood beside Vincent.  Vincent looked at me and sighed, turning to his brother with a scowl.

"Why don't you ask this waste of sperm and oxygen?! This lower class demon is with my cellphone and he wouldn't give it back!"

I looked at Victor. "Can Vincent please have his phone back, so we can both go to class?"

Victor shrugged. "I don't have it."

I gave Victor a look, even I knew that he was with Vincent's cellphone and I didn't need anyone to tell me otherwise. "Victor."

"What?" He shrugged.

"I'll give you twenty bucks." I said and Victor quickly grinned.

"Fine." He said and took out Vincent's phone from his back pocket. Vincent quickly grabbed it and gave him the middle finger with an angry look.

"I hate you."

Victor laughed. "Shut up, you love me." He said and turned to me. "The twenty bucks?" He requested.

I snorted. "Goodbye, Victor." I put an arm around Vincent and pulled him along with me, as I began walking into the school doors.

"Fucking asshole." I scoffed.

"Let it go now, feisty." I chuckled. "And you let Victor annoy you too much." I told him.

Vincent looked up at me with a frown. "He's my brother. It's like he was born for this role, how do I let him annoy me too much when I don't even do anything?"

"Well, you do have a point." I said as we began walking down the school hall.

"Mmhmm." He rolled my eyes.

"A good morning to you."

"More like cursed morning, there is literally nothing good about the morning, Julian." He said and I found myself smiling as I remembered Olivia.

They were literally the same.

"How was the devil's party?"

I grinned. "It was really fun."

"Of course it was."  He muttered.

"You could have come."

Vincent snorted as he walked away from me, making my hand drop. He walked over to his locker and rested on it as he looked at me. "You know I can't come to Xavier's parties, It would only end in tears."

"You don't go to any party even."

"So stop asking." He shrugged.

"I won't." I said as I slowly walked over to him. "And you know why?"  I asked as I stood in front of him, staring down at him with a sinister smirk.

Vincent was looking up at me, hands folded and not even blinking. "W-Why?"

"Because you are my best friend, and I love you, and I will not let you finish high school without having the fun you deserve, Lockhart."

"Oh." He blinked severally, looking uncomfortable. "Well then," he looked behind me and then back at me.  "You might just beg till I graduate college." He said and swiftly turned, opening his locker quickly.

I took some steps back, a smile on my face. He was uncomfortable and I knew he was going to be as I moved closer, because he has always hated me being so close since I was taller than he was and it kind of intimidated him, which was fun to tease him with a whole lot of times.

"Vinnieeeee, you have to go to another party with me when there's one." I said.

"W-Well, if it isn't Xavier, I might consider." Vincent replied, his face in his locker as he exchanged some books.

"Hey, Julian!!" A voice called and I turned to look, to see Xavier.

"Speak of the devil." Vincent said as he closed his locker, he turned to us with a frustrated sigh.

"Be nice." I whispered to him.

"Mmhmm." He replied.

"Hey, bro. Thank you for coming to my party last night, it was amazing having you there." Xavier said with a grin.

I laughed. "For a welcome back to school party, it was pretty fun."

Xavier turned his gaze to Vincent. "Hey, why didn't you come?"

Vincent blinked. "Oh, me?" He pointed at himself. "Uh, my cat died, she and her babies, so, I had to.....mourn."

He didn't have a cat.

"Oh." Xavier crossed his arms. "What happened to it and her babies?"

Vincent gave him a look and I knew from the way his eyes went dry that he was gonna give a sarcastic comment or something.

"They died." Vincent replied. "That's what I said."

I held back my laughter.

"Yeah, but like, what happened to them?"

"They died." He repeated.

"Cause of death?"

"Death." Vincent replied, smiling.

Xavier looked irritated and annoyed with Vinnie. He looked away from him and then at me with knitted brows, I was trying to hold back my laugh.

"It's a tough time for him." I told Xavier

"Right. Anyways, I need to talk to you about one of the boys on the team, you might have to kick him off." Xavier said as he began pulling me away.

I blinked and looked at Vincent. "Um."

"It's fine. Go."

Xavier scoffed. "He's not your boyfriend, you don't exactly need his permission, come on." He said and I saw Vincent briefly react to what he had said, or did I maybe imagine that.

"Later, Lockhart. See you in class." I said as I walked away with Xavier.

♦️ JUST FRIENDS ♦️

VINCENT'S POV.

"Yeah, sure." I muttered. "Bye." I sighed and placed a hand on my chest , my heart was beating really fast after what Xavier had said. I swallowed the lump in my throat as I looked around, feeling like people could heart my heartbeat. Why did I have to fall for fucking Julian? I know I have asked this question so many times that the question is tired of me asking it, but still! And why did he have to touch me the way he did? Ugh. Being gay is hard. Like full on erection hard. I had to hide my face in my locker, it really felt nice having his hand over my shoulder, like we were an item, walking down the hallway and talking like he was mine and I was his.

But it never could happen.

He was mine and I was his, but not in that way.

Child!

I loved this boy more than anything, but I couldn't have him and it hurt so much.

Xavier was right; he wasn't my boyfriend, I wasn't his, so he didn't need to ask for my permission. He didn't have to look at me the way he did, but then we were bestfriends. And it hurt so much because the parts of him that he kept showing to me alone, made me keep falling deeper for him.

I am never going to be able to get over him, will I?

♦️ ➿ ♦️

We were in class and I couldn't stop looking at him, I was seated at the back, watching him laugh and talk with the boys, his friends. He had such a beautiful laugh, the way he would throw his head back, the way his dreads danced every-time he laughed and shook his head. The smile on his face while they talked had me smiling, he was a beautiful man and that was the fact, I couldn't think of anyone more beautiful than Julian.

Oh, he had the prettiest eyes too, and then he had to go and wear fucking sweatpants today.

To torture me?

I have never seen Julian's dick before, ever, even though I am his best friend, I would rather not. But sometimes, I think about it and I damn know he is packing in there cause I have seen that bulge a couple of times and it is BIG.

And today, he wore a sweatpants and from time to time, my eyes would wander down there just to get a glimpse of it. I guess what they say about black men is no joke at all, because my best friend is proof of it.

Julian was everything I wanted in a boyfriend.

But I couldn't have him.

"You know, if you keep staring at him like that, you are gonna out yourself and your secret will no longer be a secret."

My heart literally stopped beating as I flinched in fear and turned to my left to see a dark skinned girl sitting on the desk beside me.

Katherine.

Katherine took off her brown leather jacket with a sigh and turned to look at me with a smile, something she barely did.

Smile.

But that, that was not the point right now.

"I'm sorry, w-what?"

People were not a fan of Katherine and she was not a fan of anyone either.

"I'm not blind," Katherine said as she placed her books on her desk. "And, you let your guard down there, you were swooning over Julian, it was almost pathetic."

"Shh." I looked around in fear, and then back at her with a nervous laughter. "N-No, I wasn't. I was only—thinking about—birds and and-"
