Chapter Twenty-Five.
Chapter Twenty Five.
The guys and I were playing xbox like we usually did on Saturday mornings and Reina was still sleeping so I decided to play with them, the thought of her never seeming to escape my memory. All I could think about was the past couple of weeks with us and you know, I never thought I’d be the type of guy to say that I found the one for me but Reina’s different and the scary thing is she’s got my perspective changing a lot on relationships because this one was better than I could have ever hoped for.
“Fucking shoot him!” Colby yelled to Mark, clicking away rapidly at the buttons. “What the hell are you doing man?!’
Mark didn’t respond, he just kept his eyes focused on the television and tried to desperately step his game up while I was just sitting on the couch watching the screen myself and realizing how horrible Mark was doing. It’s not that hard to aim a gun but he made it seem like the most difficult thing on earth.
Colby tried to revive him but unfortunately the zombies got to him too quickly and the game ended, Colby pissed beyond belief and Mark just letting out a frustrated sigh and leaning back into the couch. It was just a game but Colby was the type of guy to literally think it was real life or something.
“Just give the controller to Justin.” He spat. “I’m not playing with a fucking dingbat.”
Mark passed the controller over to me and when he went to restart the game I cleared my throat a little, causing the both of them and even Scott in the kitchen to look at me.
“I need your guys’ opinion.” I started, setting the controller down beside me. “It’s something to do with Reina.”
“Even if she says it’ll hurt just convince her anal will be fun.” Colby laughed, Mark getting a small smile as well. “She’ll love it.”
“Shut up. That’s not what I’m talking about.”
“Justin just ignore them and tell me.” Scott spoke up from the kitchen.
“Okay well last week I was walking with Reina and she told me that she was late to meet me because she was helping this guy study at the library for an essay.”
“And?” Scott asked.
“And I don’t know if I should be worried about it or not. Should I be pissed?”
“Justin all she did was help someone study. It’d be one thing if this was a weekly thing but it was one time and honestly girls don’t like that when you’re all clingy. They like their freedom and it’s not hard to tell that Reina is completely infatuated with you so just let it go is my suggestion.”
“Agreed.” Mark input. “Girls hate clingy guys. It’s like the more you ignore them the more they’re attracted to you or something. I’ll never understand that shit but yeah.”
“But I can’t just ignore it. What if that guy tries to make a move on her? I swear to god I’ll-“
“You need to trust Reina. If that guy makes a move on her then you need to trust that she’ll turn him down. Stop freaking out bro.”
Letting out a frustrated sigh, I nodded my head and picked up the controller again so we could continue the game.

Reina’s Point of View:
“So I have a proposal.” Scott said, raising his glass. “Las Vegas. Spring Break. Who’s down?”
Almost all of us raised our glasses in unison and I couldn’t think of a better way to spend break than to be with Justin, especially in Las Vegas. Thinking about being by a pool with him and in a hotel room with him and partying with him. Nothing seemed better and he seemed to feel the same way too because his arms tightened around my waist as I nodded my head towards Scott to let him know we were both in.
“I’m going to start looking at flights soon for it but I’m glad to know everyone wants to go. Oh and also, do you guys want to go sledding next weekend?”
“Yes!” I shrieked, Justin laughing because he knew how much I loved Christmas and doing anything that involved it. “That’ll be so much fun.”
“It’s gonna be so cold though.” Casey whined. “I’d rather watch Netflix.”
“That’s why you have me to keep you warm baby.”
Her cheeks flushed from Scott’s comment and I just smiled at the two of them before we all kind of broke apart into our separate conversations. I got out of Justin’s grasp for the first time all night and sat down into a barstool beside him, taking a sip of his drink before he jokingly took it back so he could take a sip of it as well.
“Such an ass.” I giggled.
“I think that’s you. You’re the ass.”
“And I swear you’ll be the death of me Justin. You’re lucky you’re cute.”
“You want a drink baby?”
My heart fluttered at the nickname but I wouldn’t let him see how much it got to me so I just bit on my lip and nodded my head, watching him as he asked the bartender for a diet because he knew that was my favorite and I brought my legs up to rest on top of his to wait until it got here.
“Thanks.” I cheesed, pulling my phone out from my pocket. “What a good boyfriend you are.”
“You always lie your feet on my dick like it’s nothing. We’re in public Reina for gods sake.”
He was totally joking and I dug my foot in a little farther, making him wince and then he started to laugh when the bartender glanced curiously at us and placed my drink in front of me. Times like this were the ones I cherished the most and just being our silly selves was going to make a long lasting impression that I’ll remember for the rest of my life.
“Reina!” Casey laughed. “Come here I have to show you this!”
“Finally.” He chuckled, gently pushing my feet off of him. “Get your feet off my shit.”
“Keep talking like that and I’m going to go straight home after this.” I quickly walked over to Casey before he could pull me into his grasp and headed over to Casey and Scott only so she could show me a funny vine that she thought was hysterical and I thought was just plain stupid.
“People that embarrass themselves in public just to get some likes on an app are insane.” I laughed.
“They may be insane but they look fine as hell doing it.”
“Hey.” Scott joked. “My feelings.”
“You’re cuter though babe.”
Her eyes met with mine as if to say, just pretend I’m telling the truth.
“You guys are adorable. I’m going to use the bathroom though so I’ll be right back.”
Walking down the hallway of the bar to the restroom, I was in there for about three minutes until I walked out and snuck up behind Justin, only to see my phone in his hand. He was scrolling through my messages and clicking into different contacts and I didn’t know what to think about all of this. I felt hurt and I felt like he didn’t trust me whatsoever.
“What the hell are you doing?” I asked, taking my phone back from him. “Why are you going through my phone?”
He was in shock that I was back so soon. His eyes were all wide-like and he just closed them for a second before he let out a sigh and looked at me once more.
“I don’t know. I’m sorry.”
“Yeah well stop going through my shit. I don’t have anything to hide.”
Sitting here next to him didn’t feel the same as a couple of minutes ago. I’ve never gone through his phone because I trusted him with everything I had and it’s annoying to know he doesn’t feel the same.
“Reina.”
Grabbing onto my hand, he pulled me closer to him and wrapped his arms around my waist.
“I’m sorry for doing that, okay? I shouldn’t have.”
“Did you find the boy I’ve been screwing behind your back?” I asked sarcastically. “Is that what you were expecting to find?”
“Reina, no. I don’t know why I did that. I’m sorry, okay? Can we please not get into a fight about this?”
“You’re pissing me off right now. Just leave me alone.”
I went to leave but he grabbed onto my wrist again with so much force that I spun back around and he had a different look in his eye. Almost like a possessive look and when he pulled me back into him so I couldn’t move I got short of breath from how intense of an expression he had.
“Don’t say that.” He whispered. “Reina please don’t be mad at me. Please.”
His eyes looked so vulnerable. They were filled with desperation and an agonizing look that literally broke my heart in two and I just nodded my head even though I was still annoyed with him a little but he was right. He apologized and even though he somewhat invaded my privacy at least he knows now that I have nothing to hide. I’m devoted to him and only him.
“Okay.”
“So you aren’t mad?”
“No. Just please don’t go through my phone again, okay? It’s not that I have something to hide it’s just that it’s like my privacy and stuff. There’s no reason you need to go through it.”
“I know and I trust you Reina, I promise. Let’s just forget this ever happened, please.”
For a second I just stared at him and the worst thing about Justin is that he can make that face where he knows that you’ll give in. His eyebrows rise up and he has this little half smile on his face. He was impossible to say no to and he knew it because I just rolled my eyes and grabbed his arms so I could wrap them around my waist once more.
