Chapter Thirty Three
Chapter Thirty Three
Feeling a tap on my shoulder, I pulled the headphones that were blasting Coldplay into my ears and grabbed my cheeseburger from Justin as he sunk down into a seat beside me. We were currently awaiting our plane with Colby, Mark, Scott and Casey but of course we got there early because Justin wanted to make sure we didn’t miss it. Airports at two in the afternoon were hectic though and security was almost impossible so I get it, I just hated waiting around for an hour to kill time.
“Shoot.” I mumbled. “I forgot to tell you to get-“
“Pickles on it? There are.”
And then he unwrapped his burger, me just staring at mine before getting a little smile on my face because he knew me way too well. I’ve never been in a relationship like this where the other person is literally your best friend but Justin knows everything about me.
“How did you know that?” I asked.
“We went to McDonald’s that one time like the first week we met. Remember? When you first called?”
--------
It was only the first five minutes of being in this damn fast food restaurant and I already wanted to leave. You know, when I called this ass and told him that I might possibly want to agree on this whole sleeping on a regular basis thing I thought he’d be excited a little but here he was, standing in front of me as we waited to get something to eat and he still hasn’t said a word to me.
“What would you like?” The employee asked him.
“Can I get a uh, chicken sandwich with cheese only?”
“And for you?”
She focused her attention on me and before I could even blurt anything out Justin shook his head and slapped a ten down on a counter.
“We’re separate.” He responded rather irritatingly.
Rolling my eyes, I took some money out of my wallet and as he stood to the side I ordered my usual, a cheeseburger with pickles only. For a second I felt like taking my burger and just leaving but I didn’t. Instead, we grabbed our bags and sat down at a table together.
“So you’re agreeing.” He smirked, unwrapping his sandwich. “Yeah?”
“Well I was thinking about it until your little stunt back there.”
“What stunt? Just because we’ll be sleeping together doesn’t mean I have to pay for you. I don’t do that shit.”
“And I wasn’t asking you to pay for me. I was going to give you the damn money. You can be a real asshole, you know that?”
“So I’ve been told.”
It was as if my comment meant nothing to him and it just flew right over his head.
“This is going to be a shorter meet up than I thought.” I smirked, beginning to wrap my burger back up. “Just forget I called, alright?”
“Has anyone ever told you that you’re an overdramatic bitch at times?”
“And has anyone ever told you that you’re a cocky fuck?”
Standing up from my chair just as quickly as I sat down, I began to walk out until I heard him follow after me, his sandwich in hand as he was laughing his full head off. My anger was rising inch by inch inside of me, moments from being on the brink of exploding. He can’t possibly be serious.
“Reina.” He laughed again, tugging on the hem of my sweater. “Chill out.”
“Chill out? The boy I met at the party isn’t who’s in front of me right now. I was thinking of agreeing to this only because you-“
“Only because what? You thought I was this different guy that would turn out to be your knight in shining armor? Reina I’m not like that and I thought you weren’t like that. That’s the only reason I answered your call in the first place.”
“You didn’t let me finish.” I spat. “I was thinking of agreeing to this only because you have a huge dick.”
His eyes became alive with humor once he heard me, his eyebrow raising in response as he cocked his head to the side a little to see if I was telling the truth, which I was. I didn’t want anything serious with him. He might be an asshole but he’s hot and he knows it. Call me a whore, fine. I don’t care. I needed sex and I wanted it to be with him for whatever reason.
“Oh yeah?” He asked sarcastically. “Is that so?”
“You have what I need so that’s why I called you.”
“Then why are you leaving?”
“Because you pissed me off back there. If we agree to this there’s going to need to be some ground rules.”
Without another word, he opened the door back up and sent me another one of those cocky smiles.
“Then come back inside and explain them to me Reina.”
--------
Snapping back to reality, I heard our gate being called so I stood up and grabbed my backpack that was on the ground, Justin taking it from my grasp so he could carry it for me.
“I got that, beautiful.” He smirked.
God he’s changed.
--------
“Were you really paying attention that day at McDonalds?” I asked once we were on the plane. “Like were you really listening to me?”
His arm was wrapped around my shoulder as my head was on his chest and we both were wrapped up in the blanket I had brought on as he was trying to figure out how to start the movie on my laptop. I just couldn’t help but think back to that day and to be honest, I never knew he even cared or even wanted to know what my favorite cheeseburger was.
“Yeah. Like I said before Reina, I knew you’d mean something. I mean, maybe I didn’t know it that day, but I cared enough to want to know what you ordered.”
“Chicken with cheese.” I laughed, looking up at him.
“What?”
“A chicken sandwich with cheese only. That’s what you ordered.”
“Why is that romantic?” He asked. “Should I be finding that romantic? Because I do.”
“Shut uppp.” I teased, kissing his chest. “Just start the movie.”
--------
“WE IN VEGAS BABY!”
Throwing his suitcases on the floor of our suite, Mark raced over towards the hotel window and I just rolled my eyes before I realized how amazing our suite actually was. Scott was the one that had booked the place and although we had all pitched in money to him, I was still in awe at what a fun spring break we’d have.
The floors were made of dark shiny hardwood and the couches were all modern and round, with little red cushions sitting perfectly on top. Nothing seemed to be out of place from the expensive huge artwork hanging on the walls and the view of Vegas directly out of our window. It all seemed like something you’d dream of.
“Oh my god Scott. Are you insane? This place is amazing!”
I finally settled my eyes on the kitchen, which had stainless steel appliances and granite counter tops and just damn, everything you would ever dream of. I’ve never been anywhere like this before and as Justin set our suitcases down inside the suite as well, Casey came up and grabbed onto my arm.
“We’re starting our tanning now!” She shrieked. “Come on! Oh my god I bet the pool is amazing!”
“Oh my gosh yes! Let me just change first.”
Taking my suitcase from Justin who was currently enwrapped in a conversation with Mark, I hurried into what I assumed to be Justin and mine’s room -because I just claimed it- and took out my swimsuit before I took a sneak peek into the bathroom. I smirked to myself when there was a walk in shower and a huge porcelain tub. We would certainly be having a lot of fun with that.
My bikini was a hot pink leopard print strapless and I think the color looked great on my skin tone. I know Casey wanted to get tan because she was pale as could be but in all honesty, I was already tan. The perk of me tanning was that I would literally be black, which always looked good on me.
Taking five minutes to put it on and make sure it was tied securely, I heard Casey knock on the door and opened it to reveal her in a black bikini, hers having straps so that it could be a push up. I didn’t exactly need a push up because my boobs were already way too big. It got annoying if I can be honest.
“Bye guys!” Casey said quickly, tugging on my hand for us to go. “Reina and I will be at the pool!”
Before she could make it to the door Scott grabbed her hand and analyzed her from head to toe.
“Yeah um, I’ll be joining you in a couple of minutes Case. You look fine as hell.”
Justin was still in a conversation with Mark so I don’t even think he saw me. All I did was follow Casey out until we were at the pool and my god it was filled with people who looked like they belonged there. Girls in thong bikini’s with guys probably loaded with money, all of them at the bar sipping on Martini’s as Casey and I quickly took a seat onto a lounge chair to keep to ourselves. We both felt completely out of place.
“That girl has a six pack.” She said in disbelief. “Look.”
“I don’t care Casey. Don’t compare yourself to other girls because it won’t do you any good. We both look fine the way we are.”
“I guess.” She muttered.
---------
“Reina.” I heard Casey say. “Reina!”
“Jesus, what?”
Hooking the hooks of my bikini top back together, I sat up into the sun and narrowed my eyes at her. I was an hour into my tanning and I was so freaking relaxed just then.
“There’s a girl that’s like all over Justin right now by the bar. Just thought I’d let you know.”
That certainly caught my attention.
Glancing over towards the bar, a girl with long blonde hair was flipping it over her shoulder as she tried to laugh at one of his jokes he was telling Mark and Colby. He seemed clueless to the girl hitting on him and he didn’t seem interested because lets be honest, she has the world’s flattest ass and no tits whatsoever. I’m not exactly jealous because I have no reason to be but I’m pissed that she’s touching my man. She better back the hell up.
“I’m about to get ghetto.” I laughed. “The Puerto Rican’s about to come out girl.”
Casey just laughed as she watched me stand to my feet and I quickly walked over to the bar where they were, Justin’s eyes immediately finding mine and his eyes went as wide as can be when they scanned over my body. I’m guessing he hasn’t seen me yet, which was also a little weird to me that he hasn’t really cared to know where I’m at but maybe he’s just hanging with his guys. I get that.
“Hi baby.” I smirked, pushing the blonde to the side so I could stand directly between his legs on the barstool he was on. “I missed you.”
The girl obviously didn’t realize he had a girlfriend but for whatever reason that didn’t make her go. She was still standing there like the bimbo she was and I wanted to tell her to fuck off.
“You did?” He asked, completely puzzled. “I missed you too Reina.”
I don’t usually act all sappy like this but this girl needed to know what was mine and he was mine. Nobody else’s.
“Yep. Let me sit on your lap?”
Spreading his legs apart slightly, I hoisted myself onto the barstool and felt his arms go around my waist, my back hitting against his chest that looked more defined than ever. I can see why girls were all over him. His tattoos were practically glowing, the tan of his skin standing out like no tomorrow. I’m not dumb to the fact he’s hot and I hate that girls just won’t leave him alone.
“I love you.” He whispered, gently placing a kiss to my shoulder. “You want something to drink?”
“Yeah but I’ll-“
“Can I get a diet coke?” Justin asked, making me smile from ear to ear.
The blonde then seemed to get the hint that he obviously wouldn’t be interested in her and wandered off, leaving the two of us and Mark and Colby alone at the bar.
“Thanks.” I said sheepishly. “You didn’t have to.”
“When you’re wearing this?” He murmured, pulling at the bottoms of my bikini. “It’s the least I can do.”
The diet coke was placed in front of me and I took a couple of sips before I turned so I was facing him sideways, placing my lips against his and going into a make-out session, his hands guiding down my back, ignoring Mark and Colby, just the two of us in the sun having the best vacation ever. I couldn’t picture spending it with anyone other than my best friend.
“So guess what I found today?” I giggled softly into his ear.
“What’s that babe?”
“There’s a huge tub…you know, connected to our room…”
“Yeah?”
“Yeah. I was thinking maybe tonight… a bottle of wine… candles… bubbles… you… me…naked…”
“You had me at tonight.” He grinned. “That sounds like so much fun.”
