Wounds and Sinks

A/N: minor spoilers: Bakugous hero name

Kirishima dodged to the left and Bakugou jumped to his right. They worked in synchronization, both knowing exactly what the other would do before he even did it.

The villain stood on top of a building. She had a hostage, but she appeared to have a quirk. Both of the heroes figured she wasn't a part of PAHS.

Her quirk was something along the lines of séances. She appeared to have an army of ghosts willing to complete her every demand. The issue was that you couldn't punch ghosts.

"We need to get up there somehow," Bakugou grunted as he dodged another ghost-like figure. "I would head up there but then they'd all attack me."

"I'll distract," Kirishima jumped over a few of the figures. "I've been working on a mobility move anyways, so this'll be good practice!"

They were both calm and comforted by the others presence. While they hadn't labeled their relationship yet, they knew they could still rely on the other. And of course kiss later.

Bakugou dove in between buildings, which gave Kirishima the signal to start. Kirishima hardened his legs to unbreakable level and dug them into the ground before propelling himself forward. The momentum sped him up as he wanted, and he caught the attention of the villain on the roof.

Bakugou was able to blast himself up onto the roof, and he had a small window for the sneak attack to go as planned. However, he hadn't seen a ghost creeping up on his left. He stumbled forward and the villain was alerted.

Kirishima was being overtaken on the ground and he had no way to get on top of a building that high. He worked on protecting himself while watching anxiously for Bakugou and his fight.

The blonde scowled as the woman pulled out a knife. She charged forward and when Bakugou punched her, she disappeared. He realized too late that the woman was able to make a projection of herself as well. He felt the knife in his back and gasped in surprise. Bakugou wouldn't go down without a fight though. He propelled himself backwards and rammed his own body into the woman's. She kicked at his feet and the two dodged and lunged at one another, landing hits and drawing blood.

Kirishima was able to free himself from the ghost-like figures. As the woman was more distracted, the figures became weaker. He found an emergency ladder and climbed up to save the hostage, who was a little boy. He had a protection quirk, and luckily he was old enough to figure out how to use it.

The boy reached out for Kirishima, who carefully held him in his arms and hardened his entire back. "Are you ready? You have to hold on tight."

The boy nodded, and Kirishima fell backwards off the building. His body took all of the impact and the boy used his quirk to protect himself from any dispersed energy or debris.

On the rooftop, Bakugou was bleeding and bruised while the woman was becoming lethargic and slow. The blonde was lucky that he was sweating even more, and his explosions were doing more damage then the were at the beginning of the fight. The woman let out a yell and went for one last attack, which was countered by Bakugou. The hero managed to give her one last right hook, but he hadn't realized how close they were to the edge.

The woman fell, and Bakugou only had enough energy to save himself. On the ground, Kirishima covered the boys eyes when he realized he was too far away. The red head also squeezed his eyes shut as hard as he could.

Dammit. He thought. Useless. You're too useless. You can't save her or Katsuki. Dammit, Eijiro.

He was confused when he heard cheers from the civilians instead of screams or gasps. Maybe Katsuki was actually able to grab her with one final move. That would be like the blonde. Always the dramatic.

When Kirishima opened his eyes, he had never been so thankful to see tape.

He let out a sigh of relief when he saw Sero catch the woman and swing her over to the police, gaining more cheers and thanks. He then swung over to Kirishima and held his hands out for the boy.

The red head shook his head quickly. "No, no I'll take him. Please get Katsuki," he begged.

Sero nodded, seeing the desperation in his friends eyes. Kirishima stood up and took the boy over TK the crowd, where his mother was anxiously reaching for him. She thanked Red Riot profusely and hugged the giant man tightly. Kirishima assured her that everything was okay and that she had a strong young man. The red head looked down on his new friend and rustled his hair before giving him a smile and a thumbs up.

He heard screaming from who could only be Bakugou in the distance. He thanked everyone in the crowd and sprinted off as fast as he could to go see the blonde. Kirishima found out that he had been more injured than he initially thought, but Bakugou was the focus now.

Sero held Bakugou strangely in his arms, and the blonde was trashing around and bleeding. He seemed almost delusional. Sero quickly handed the blonde to Kirishima and winced.

"You sure know how to pick them," he teased.

"Thanks, man. For everything."

Sero ran ahead to the news broadcasters and answered some questions.

"Cellophane, what can you tell us about this attack?"

"Well, I was only here for the dramatic finish," he chuckled, "but Dynamight and Red Riot handled it well. You know those two. They're extremely efficient and effective. And I'm not just saying that because they're my friends."

"We just heard some screaming and saw Red Riot run off. What was that about?"

"Well, I won't go into the details but Dynamight got hurt and he's got a lot of pride. He was not too happy that I was the one carrying him," he chuckled and caused the news broadcaster to laugh.

Kirishima managed to get Bakugou inside of a damaged building from the fight. It would have to do for now. The blondes back was bleeding profusely and Kirishima was getting more and more worried.

"I need to take you to the hospital," Kirishima ripped off his sleeve and applied pressure to the wound. He couldn't tie anything around it right now, and he had always had trouble with dressing wounds.

"No, f*ck the hospital. I've seen too much of that damned place." Bakugou grumbled. "Take us home."

"Katsuki-"

"Shut the hell up." The blonde sounded tired and weary.

Kirishima had to quickly think of how they could get home without being spotted and without causing the blonde too much damage. He took a deep breath and thought. They weren't too far from their house, but they would need to use alleyways in order to get there.

Kirishima gently picked up Bakugou and held him on his front, wrapping the blondes arms around his neck and his legs around his hips or waist. This way he was able to carry the blonde without hurting him and his wound could breathe.

"I need you to hold on tight."

Bakugou nodded and hid his face in the crook of Kirishimas neck. The red head jogged as fast as he could in through alleyways, dodging media and people that they knew. He didnt want to move too much out of fear for Bakugou, but sometimes decisions had to be made. And Bakugou was tough. Kirishima decided he'd apologize with kisses later. Bakugou was a sucker for kisses.

Kirishima eventually reached their apartment complex and sighed. The hardest part would be trying to get past the reception without any questions. He knew other heroes lived in the building but he was worried. He took his one arm and covered Bakugou's back with it.

Kirishima walked into the reception and greeted the secretary. She cocked an eyebrow at the two, and Kirishima was forced to improv.

"We had a long patrol with a robbery chase. He twisted his ankle and is super tired," the red head smiled. "I think he's asleep!"

The secretary smiled. "Feel better! Let us know if you need any ice packs."

Kirishima quickly made his way to the elevator and Bakugou started to groan and grumble. He must've been in more pain than he wanted to let on.

Kirishima struggled opening the door with the blonde in his hands, and eventually he just used his leg to twist the handle open. Thank god he had forgotten to lock it. Bakugous eyes slowly flickered opened and he leaned back slightly to stare at Kirishima.

"I'm getting the first aid kit. Stay put," Kirishima stated and put Bakugou down on their couch. The red head quickly went to the bathroom, chucking his gears off on the way.

Bakugou scoffed and forced himself to stand up. He limped over to the sink and turned on the water, washing the blood off of his face and trying to drink some clean water. He was becoming parched.

Kirishima came out of the bathroom with the giant first aid kit and scolded the blonde. The red head put Bakugou on their counter and looked at his back again, wincing.

"Just f*ckin do it, Ei." Bakugou was tired, which made Kirishima worried. "Cmon, you're better than those stupid stuck up snobs at the hospital."

Kirishima took a deep breath and dressed the wound, cleaning it and dabbing up the blood. "I'm nervous, I was never good at this part in school."

Bakugou grunted in reply.

Kirishima put alcohol in the worst parts of the wound and around it. He took note of how Bakugous muscles tended or how his head twitched. Then the red head took a small needle and started to stitch the wound. It wasn't too deep, but he would keep an eye on it and make sure it was okay. He wrapped it in a bandage and checked to make sure it wasn't looking infected or like it was getting worse.

Bakugou slowly turned around to face Kirishima. "Thanks, or whatever." He reached his arms out to Kirishima, who was confused for a minute. "I wanna take a f*cking nap."

Kirishima smiled and picked Bakugou up, taking him to the blondes room. "Am I stayi-"

"Shut the hell up you damn idiot yes you are." Bakugou's voice was still threatening when quiet.

Kirishima smiled and kissed Bakugou on the forehead. He climbed into the bed first and then let Bakugou crawl on him, using his chest as a pillow. Plus, it was better this way so that Bakugous wound wouldnt open again.

Kirishima ran his thumb over Bakugous palm before he fell into a deep and calming sleep.
