Trains
Kirishima had fallen alseep on Bakugou's shoulder when the door opened. The blonde was stuck between two choices; either wake up Kirishima and see whoever came to the house or leave Kirishima's warmth to meet them himself. He glanced at the red heads peaceful face and gently wiggled out of his predicament before going to the entrance.
A young woman with long brown hair stood in the doorway, holding a bag of groceries. She slipped out of her shoes and headed towards the kitchen, just then noticing the hero standing in her brothers sweatpants.
She smiled and set the bags down on the counter before bowing. "Hello, I'm Nao, Eij's sister. You must be Bakugou? I'm a big fan of your heroism!" She smiled.
Bakugou nodded and stayed quiet as he bowed slightly. He watched as she unpacked the bag carefully and started to make dinner, chopping the vegetables carefully.
"Our father will be home in thirty minutes, but until then I'd love to get to know you! Where's Eij?"
Bakugou motioned towards the couch, where Kirishima was holding a pillow tightly and snoring. Bakugou couldn't help but smile as his mind wandered and he thought of waking up next to Kirishima everyday.
"So, what ended up happening with his rescue?" Nao's voice got quiet as she stared at Bakugou.
The blonde sighed and thought for a second. "I had a team and we ended up finding a bunker. He was being experimented on-"
"Experiments?" Nao almost shouted.
Bakugou shot her a glare. "You'll wake sh*tty hair up, dumbass. Anyways, he was passed out when we got him and he thought that I had died. They used some idiot's quirk to lure him in."
"Oh my god. I never realized how bad it was."
Just then, there was movement on the couch and Kirishima mumbled. Bakugou was by his side quickly, handing him crutches and supporting him as he stood up.
"Hey, Nao!" Kirishima smiled tiredly. His voice was deeper as he had just woken up too, and Bakugou hid his blush.
"Hey Eij! I was just talking with your bo-"
"Great!" Kirishima interrupted. "You guys have met!"
He used his crutches and walked to the kitchen, glaring at Nao who had a smirk on her face. The red head watched his sister cook as Bakugou sat on his phone and pretended to be disinterested.
"Baku is a really good cook!" Kirishima smiled.
Nao nodded. "Then get him in here and have him help."
Bakugou looked up and glared at his roommate before standing and helping Nao in the kitchen. Kirishima smiled and watched as the two worked together seamlessly and finished making the food.
Mr Kirishima was home around an hour later, and he embraced his son carefully but lovingly. Bakugou isolated himself from the family, wanting them to have their space and do whatever without him interrupting.
The dinner itself was nice, but Bakugou was caught in a loop of trying to show off and trying to be as respectful as he could in order to get Kirishima's family to like him. It was really tormenting, and Kirishima could tell on his friend's face.
When the two were in the room they were sharing alone, Bakugou pulled out a cot and made his bed on the floor. He had to get comfortable, as he would be here for a week.
"Man, why don't you just go home? I'll be fine."
"That's a sh*tty thing to do, dumb hair." Bakugou sighed. "Plus, I just saved your ass. I can't leave you yet."
Kirishima thought, staring at the ceiling and blushing. "Bro."
"What?" Bakugou grumbled.
"Thanks, man. Means a lot."
Bakugou just grunted in reply and went to sleep.
***
The week passed quickly and Kirishima was basically healed. He had worked hard with Bakugou to strengthen his quirk and body again and it was coming along steadily. He still would attend his physical therapist but he was able to harden his body and stay strong.
The red head was practically bouncing off the walls when Bakugou said he could let them do a short patrol.
Kirishima changed quickly and hugged his sister before running out the door before Bakugou could even blink. It was amazing to see such a bright smile so early in the day. Bakugou let a small smile slip from behind his mask of anger as he followed.
The streets were quiet with some parents taking their kids to school or business workers headed to their jobs. Kirishima kept repeatedly hardening and unhardening his arm as they walked, scared to lose his quirk again.
He was nothing without his quirk.
"Hey, blasty," Kirishima smiled at his friend. "We need to have a movie night real soon."
"I'm not gonna text those idiots-"
"No, man. Just me an you! We need a nice, relaxing night without me almost dying!" Kirishima laughed and nudged Bakugou's shoulder.
Bakugou turned towards the street, blushing furiously as he imagined talking to Kirishima. Explaining his feelings.
A woman ran up frantically from the subway station. "There's a runaway train! Help them!"
Both heroes immediately went into action, jumping down the stairs and speeding towards the crowd (which they knew from experience meant danger) as fast as possible.
Kirishima was ready, and hungry, for action. He had just started to activate his quirk when he was shoved to the ground and he watched a blonde streak past him and onto the tracks.
Anger bubbled up inside the red head as Bakugou used his explosions to stall the breaks and push himself back against the train, overusing his quirk in order to stop the heavy vehicle.
'Why?' Kirishima thought. His quirk was perfect for this! This is what he was made to do!
Did Bakugou think so little of him to the point that he couldn't trust Kirishima to handle a situation that practically catered to his quirk?
Kirishima had struggled with self image issues, and they all came crashing down. If the person he loved, who he viewed to be the strongest hero and man ever, didn't have faith in him than why should anyone else?
Bakugou dodged the media and grabbed Kirishima by the arm, attempting to pull him out from the crowd and somewhere where they could talk.
Kirishima was still upset, and he shoved past Bakugou, which definitely caught the attention of the bystanders.
"Red Riot-" somebody called behind him.
Kirishima was already gone. He had tuned everything out.

Hey y'all so sorry for the late update. School started and I hate life and then I hated the original draft of this chapter (this one still sucks) so I'm sorry
