The night was unbearable for Wooyoung. He was never a fan of big cuddles, but since he and San slept together, he liked it more and more. Especially as San is an absolutely cuddly person who never let go of you.
Wooyoung couldn't sleep a wink and before he knew it, he woke up after two hours of sleep because Hongjoong stormed into the room and woke them both up. San, who looked completely rested, yawned and sat up.
Wooyoung grumbled a little and sat up as well. He looked like a corpse. His face was covered in dark circles. "What happened to you?" Hongjoong asked worriedly.
"Couldn't sleep," said Wooyoung and stood up. "All right, get ready, we're leaving in 30 minutes."
They both nodded silently and got changed. There was an oppressive atmosphere between them. "Tell me, Woo, is everything really okay? You seem-" San started, but was interrupted by Wooyoung. "Everything's fine, I just want to get the day over with and then sleep in peace."
"Hm, all right. Let's have something to eat. Otherwise we'll be late," San said quietly and left the room. Wooyoung followed him and they both greeted Jongho in the kitchen. The latter looked at them skeptically.
"What's going on?"
"You look a bit tense. Please sort it out. I don't want to experience something like that Idol Radio episode again," sighed Jongho.
"That won't happen. Wooyoung knows now that I always love him," grinned San and pulled Wooyoung towards him, who nodded, overwhelmed. "Eh yeah, isn't that word a bit of an exaggeration?"
"Oh no, it's just right, Youngie," San smiled and stroked his cheek with his thumb. Wooyoung swallowed and wanted to cry, as San didn't even realize how he was unintentionally messing up Wooyoung's feelings.
"And the same is true from Wooyoung's point of view, isn't it?" Jongho asked, causing San to look at him in confusion. "Sure, Wooyoung always says how much he loves me." San shrugged his shoulders, unimpressed. "Yes, but I think he loves you more than anyone else. Please appreciate that San and don't hurt him," Jongho suddenly said worriedly, causing San to blink perplexedly. Wooyoung seemed a little overwhelmed and looked at Jongho. The latter smiled at him.
"I could never hurt Wooyoung. He's like a little brother I never had."
And with that statement, he had already hurt him. Jongho looked just as broken as Wooyoung after that sentence.
"I'm sorry, Woo. I didn't realize how stupid he can be sometimes," Jongho breathed sympathetically and left the kitchen.
"What's wrong?" asked San.
"Like a brother? I... I satisfied you.....," Wooyoung just said overwhelmed and stared angrily at San. "I thought the matter was settled," said San quietly. "Yeah... I... I'm sorry I'm just a person with feelings. It got the best of me, okay?"
"I-I'm sorry, Woo. I didn't mean to hurt you. I'm so stupid," San bit his lip. "I was just thinking about me and not how you were feeling."
"It's okay, Sannie. Let's just forget about all this and get back to normal."
"Alright, I promise I won't ask you for any more favors like that and we'll leave anything intimate to fanservice."
San held out his pinky finger to Wooyoung. Wooyoung grabbed it half-heartedly and nodded. He will never be more than best friends with San. They both looked into each other's eyes. Neither released their gaze, it was completely silent and Wooyoung could have sworn you could hear his heart breaking.
"Everything okay, Woo?"
"Yes," he bit his lip and suppressed his tears. "Please stay with me forever." He suddenly threw himself into San's arms and hugged him tightly. He took in his lovely scent. San always smelled so great. Wooyoung snuggled up to San's broad shoulders and buried his head there.
"Of course, Woo. What's going on? You're acting like I'm about to leave and never come back," San laughed softly and returned the hug, laying his head on Wooyoung's back. Stroking his back.
Wooyoung nodded slightly and tried to calm his breathing. Like a brother.... He's not into me, he never will. I'll never have a chance. I hate my feelings.... "Why do I only love you?" mumbled Wooyoung barely audibly into San's shoulder.
"Did you say something?"
"No, it's all good. Let's go." Wooyoung let go and left the kitchen. San was still standing there, stroking his shoulder. He could have sworn that Wooyoung had said something about love.... Was it referring to San? San shook his head and followed Wooyoung.

Oh guys, the later chapters are going to be interesting. I put some backstory in there to make it more interesting. But the events are fictitious. The families of the two of them are probably very great people in real life. It's just for story building :3
