Manish's pov

"I can't date if my best friend doesn't pass the guy for me, after all he knows me better than me myself!"

Those are the words Arshita had said to me everytime we talked about our love lives! Arshita and I were never actually able to date anyone even when we tried because every other person would think that the two of us were a thing!!

Never in my life I'd ever thought for a moment that Arshita would lie to me about something this big that's going on in her life, why would she even do that. Ever since the two of us had became friends there wasn't a single tiniest thing that I didn't told her about me, I would never feel at ease without telling her everything! Except the fact that I had always been in love with her, she knew every single thing that happened in my life.

But I guess that wasn't the case for her, it hurted more to be lied to, that not getting back the same love I had for her because she always used to say, "I always want you to be my best friend!"

But best friends doesn't hide such big life decisions from each other! And that dissapointed me the most! And nothing hurts more than being dissapointed by the single person you thought would never hurt you!

I was lost in my thought while laying on my bed looking up at the ceiling as it had already been two days since our fight when my room's door opened and mom walked in.

"Arshu is here, she's waiting for you outside Manish!" Mom said and I sighed while murmuring, "Again?"

"Yes again! Why are you ignoring her? It's not like you to do this, this the third day that she's been coming daily to see you and waiting for you for hours and you not showing up, what is wrong with you two?" Mom asked me confusedly and I just sat up on my bed while sighing,"Nothing mom!" I said almost in a murmur and she gave me a look saying, "I can tell by looking at your and her face that you two fought! But don't you think you guys should talk it out?"

"Not now mom, I really don't want to! Can you please tell her I'm asleep or something! The last thing I wanna do right now is talk it out" I said shaking my head while mom just gave me a look when someone spoke up from behind, "Do you seriously think I'm gonna take those lame excuses? You think I don't know you?"

I looked up to find Arshita standing at my room's door with a hurtful look on her face and I just looked at her with an emotion less face because honestly I don't even know how I was feeling at the moment, all of my emotions were just a mess!

"I'll let you two talk, and Manish.. behave!" Mom said as she walked out of the room while I kept looking at Arshita who was also looking straight at me. I was seeing her after three days and she looked like a mess, as if she'd been crying too much and that still fucking affected me!

She was going to speak again when I just shook my head showing her my hand to stop as I said, "Don't, I can't hear any explanations right now, I already told! Can you stop doing this? I guess I've made it clear that I don't wanna see you"

"I wasn't giving an explanation, I know I was wrong and you need time, but I won't stop coming here! I'm not gonna let you go just like that, you know how stubborn I can be right?" she said with tears filling up in her eyes and I just looked away while closing my eyes as I ran a hand through my hair.

"And what if I want to let go?" I asked her and she shook her head saying in a murmur as she tried not to cry, "I'll hold onto you tightly, I can't let go our ten years of friendship into vain"

"But I guess your definition of friendship is different than mine.... keeping secrets, breaking promises, trust issues and things like that include in yours and not mine!" I said while she kept her head down as she said, "I didn't wanna hurt you"

"PLEASE! STOP IT! If you really want to have any chances left between us to be normal ever again, then leave. I can't do this right now" I said raising my voice a little and she looked up while a tear rolled down her cheek and she just nodded as she immediately turned and left from there!

I just slumped down beside the window while trying to calm down my emotions as I looked out to find her walking out while wiping her tears as she sat in her car and kept her head on the steering wheel while breaking down.

I wanted to be angry at her, I wanted to shout on her, I wanted to ask her for a long explanation, I wanted her to stay even when I knew that I shouldn't be feeling like this after all that had happened, but I couldn't help but miss her more and feel angrier at myself for these damned feelings of mine!!

Third person's pov

Shubman was sitting in his car as he had reached the college and everyone else had went inside except him, he wanted to be alone for some time as it had been almost a week after the fight and he wasn't able to overcome his emotions that were raging inside him.

He felt angry, depressed, sad, lost but most of all he was hurt!! It was like he couldn't forget the exchange of words that had been used in that fight from both the groups. He knew they all were at fault for that one!

But this thing between him and Arshita since the day he had told her that Manish was in love with her. Since then all the things went in a flash, Arshita blamed him for putting wrong allegations on her and Manish's relationship, Manish getting to know about the two of them and then that fight! It all kept flashing through Shubman's mind again and again and what hurt him the most was that Arshita never once even tried to reach back to him even after knowing that Manish really was in love with her and that Shubman was just scared to lose her. And that was the reason he wanted to tell everyone about their relationship.

He just sighed while running a hand through his hair and then finally got out of his car when the next moment another car entered in the parking lot while Arshita and Hardik got out of it, Manish had even stopped coming to the college since that fight.

Shubman's eyes went straight towards Arshita who got out of the car and as if sensing his gaze her eyes flickered to him and they both had an eye contanct for moment when Hardik came and kept his hand on Arshita's shoulder breaking her trance as he said, "Let's go!"

Arshita turned towards Hardik while Shubman just shook his head and went inside the college!!

"Harry, I told you I don't want to! Can't we just bunk and go somewhere else! Please" Arshita said making a face and Hardik gave her a look, "No way! You can't ignore your problems for a lifetime, you have to face them one or the other day so why not today! Ishan, Rishabh and Tanya are already waiting for us let's go!" He said and she just made a face as the two of them started walking inside.

"Can't you give that speech to Manu?" Arshita said and Hardik just raised his hands in surrender saying, "Nope! He's on a much harder position right now, he's got two shocks at once you know! First, you don't love him back and second, you didn't tell him about you and Shubman! So he definitely needs time"

"I feel more bad after listening to that!" Arshita said sighing heavily while Hardik just patted her back as they finally reached inside the corridor where the others were waiting for them.

"Why are you guys so slow? And Manish isn't coming again?" Rishabh asked them and they both shook their heads in denial!

"This all feels really strange! The way we all had been together for the last few months, I never thought something like this would happen again to our groups" Tanya said and they all just kept silent while Ishan had a straight face as he hadn't said a word!

"You okay bro?" Hardik asked Ishan who just sighed, "I don't even wanna talk, I just wish I could sleep all day, I want to throw away my mind so that I couldn't think about these things!" Ishan said rolling his eyes.

"Let's just skip our first class please, I can't do it with this mood!" Rishabh said and they nodded when Arshita said, "You guys can go to the cafeteria, I'll just take a walk around, I don't feel like eating"

"Me too!" Ishan said said with a straight face that he's been carrying all week while they both walked into different directions and Tanya sighed saying, "They both look so hurt!"

"That's the effects of aftermath of broken relationships! They'll be fine, let's go" Hardik said and the three of them walked towards the cafeteria to sit on their same table where Nikita, Mayank and Manjot were present!

"Whoa, they seriously thought they could sit here after whatever they said about us and our parents!" Rishabh said looking at them while the three of them walked up towards them.

Shriya was sitting in the grounds on a bench as she didn't felt like attending the class, she felt somewhere guilty for saying those things first to Ishan's face in that fight but was also angry upon all of them for acting like that.

She hadn't talked to Ishan the whole week and it was making it difficult for her to not miss him, she didn't even knew even if they would be together again or not!

She was busy in her thoughts when Abhishek came upto her and sat beside her while keeping an arm over her shoulders as he asked, "Missing someone?"

"Not now Abhay! I'm not in mood" Shriya said as she was trying really hard not to cry after she had seen Ishan coming in while entering the college, he hadn't even looked at her properly and just walked away.

"I'm not here to joke you idiot! I know how you feel, Do you love him that much?" Abhishek asked patting her head and she nodded while tears welled up in her eyes as she said almost in a murmur, "Yes! A lot! I didn't wanted to hurt him Abhay! But the situation was just so messed up and I got angry!"

"I know! Everything is pretty messed up, Shubman doesn't act like himself, you're here crying by yourself, everyone else is in a bad mood too! But you know what? Sometimes life throws us into these situations to check how much lengths we can go to, for saving some relationships, facing those situations is like a test. If you pass it, it'll all be happy again but if you back out and fail, you're gonna end up being hurt!!"

"And I know that you're strong enough to fight for this test. If your love is strong enough from both the sides, no situation can keep you both away, I promise! You just need to stay strong, okay?" Abhishek and Shriya nodded while she kept her head on his shoulder while wiping her tears and he caressed her hair when the next moment Ishan came into the grounds and his eyes landed straight on them.

"Wow seriously?" He murmured to himself while shaking his head as he just started walking inside and came upto them, "I see something new, but this is isn't the place for romance or crying, whatever you guys are trying to do, can you take it somewhere else please?" Ishan said from behind and Shriya immediately looked back raising her head up with a hurtful look on her face.

"Wow! I've been waiting to hear from you and that's the first thing you wanna say?" Shriya asked him trying not to cry in front of him while Ishan scoffed saying, "What else do you expect me to say? I'm jealous? I missed you? I'm sorry? Nope, not gonna happen after you decided to start the war when it wasn't even your fight! So please"

"You seriously don't deserve her! For once I thought that you were gonna be atleast a bit sincere, but here we are!" Abhishek said and Ishan have him a look saying, "You don't tell me whom I deserve or whom I don't!"

"Let's go Abhay! It's just useless to talk!" Shriya said she turned whiie Abhishek also gave one last look to Ishan and then walked away while Ishan kept looking at them tightening his jaw and then punched on the wall as soon as they were out of sight!

On the other side Arshita had been roaming all around the corridor of the college aimlessly as she wanted to stop the spree of thoughts that was running inside her head, when unknowingly she reached near the library.

She came and stopped in front of the library's door and couldn't help but get angry at her for not being able to be angry at Shubman because he was at fault too! She knew he'd be in the library for keeping his mind off of his thoughts and then she ended up here with his thoughts!

She stood still on her place in a dilemma of going inside the library or walking away for a long time, when she finally sighed and went inside and her eyes went straight to the corner where always Shubman sits, it was his favourite spot and there he was! Trying to read a book at which he was failing miserably as he kept turning over the pages every now and then.

Arshita kept looking at him unknowingly when he suddenly looked up and his eyes met hers, Arshita immediately looked away as she went behind the books shelves acting to find some book. She just sighed while running a hand through her hair as she stood there leaning on the book shelf with her back sticking to it.

"What are you doing?" She heard a voice from behind and stood straight as she knew it was Shubman, she slowly turned around to look at him with hurtful look on her face while he showed no emotions at all.

"What do...you mean? Library is for reading and I'm here for that" She said trying not to show her emotions too much while Shubman kept looking at her as he said after a moment, "Really? I don't think so!"

"I don't care what you think" Arshita said looking down at her feet and Shubman took a few steps closer to her asking in a murmur, "You don't?"

"Well do you??" she asked finally looking up at him and Shubman still showed no emotions as he shook his head, "No I don't, but you do and that's why you're here"

"Yeah fine, I'm an idiot, I do care, because I can't take it anymore. I feel like I'm gonna break down any moment, I don't know what to feel when! I'm a mess! But what about you? You don't care! Does it all really meant nothing to you? Can you really end it all just like that?"

"That's not for you to think, what it all meant to me or how I end this! It's all about me and I'll deal with it just like you need to deal with your feelings" Shubman said and Arshita just stared at his face and with tears in her eyes.

"I didn't knew you could be that cold! Fine, I'll deal with my feelings! I get it. You don't want anything else to do with me, you don't care! THEN YOU CAN GO TO HELL!" Arshita said as she pushed him aside and then walked out of the library while tears slipped down her face!

On the other side in the cafeteria, it was all another of big mess!

"You guys need to set yourself straight. How do you even dare to sit here after whatever happened?" Rishabh said while throwing away Nikita's plate and they all stood up.

"Are you fucking serious right now? You still care about some fucking cafeteria table after all the bizarre situation?" Mayank asked him and Hardik nodded his head saying, "Yupp! Because you guys say you didn't wanna be up on our level, so why are you guys even here?"

"Because they don't know their place!" Ishan said coming from behind as he came and threw away Manjot's plate from table, while the next moment Manjot picked up a glass of juice and spilled it on his head.

"Guess you needed to cool down bro" Manjot said and Ishan just glared at him when Tanya also picked up a plate full of food and threw it straight on Manjot saying, "How dare you"

And with that it was all turned into a food fight, even the other students had joined on making a huge mess out of the cafeteria and the chaos was enough to reach to everyone's ears in the whole college!

Arshita, Shriya, Shubman and Abhishek who were missing from the fight also reached upto the cafeteria because of all the noises and looked at everyone widening their eyes when the next moment Mr.Khurana was present on the spot along with the principal!

"STOP IT!" Mr.Khurana shouted while everyone stopped at once but one donut came flying straight on his shirt and he shouted, "Have you all lost you minds? Do you all even realize that you're standing inside a college campus?"

"You students think this is all fun and games? Do you all come here to do this? Are you all even seeing your conditions while you stand in front of me with all the food covered on you all? Have you all gone insane? Have you forgotten that this place has some rules or a reputation?" The principal asked them angrily while everyone stood there with their heads down.

"No one's leaving college today before you all clean this mess, I want everything as it was! And if something like this ever happens again, I'll make sure to suspend you all, I don't care even if the college has to remain empty, because it would be atleast better than all this, I'm really ashamed of you students!" she said and gave one last glare before walking back into her office while Mr. Khurana shouted,"Get to work right now everyone! And if I see anyone fighting again, I'll suspend you first and then the principal will, maybe for forever"

"Do you students need a different invitation?" Mr.Khurana asked turning to Shubman, Arshita, Shriya and Abhishek who were standing in a corner silently and were all clean, "But we weren't even a part of it sir!" Arshita said sighing while he just shooked his head head saying, "But you friends were. So get on it students, right now! My eyes will be fixed her even if I'm elsewhere"

Saying so he walked away while the four of them looked at each other and then finally started working while making faces.
