JUST CREEPIN'

KAMARION MONTGOMERY
NOVEMBER 8th; WEDNESDAY

"BAM, WHO THE fuck is blowing up yo fucking phone like that!" Jourie yelled, feeling her skin burning with anger.

The boy jolted from his sleep, noticing the girl standing above him with her hands planted on her wide hips. Shifting all her weight on her right leg.

"I don't know jourie, I ain't even hear no one calling me." He swore, rubbing his eyes, attempting to adjust his sight to the light.

"Well answer the fucking phone, they calling again." Jourie frowned. The feeling was all too familiar, and she didn't have time for a repeat of last time.

When they broke up, Shanell used to blow his phone up over and over just like now, so she immediately started thinking the worst when it came down to it.

His phone was underneath him, so he rolled back slightly and grabbed his phone that was continuously ringing. After reading the name on it, he smacked his lips and answered.

"The fuck you blowing my phone up like that for?" He was frowning so hard at the audacity. Never in life had Pierre did something like this, and she had jourie looking at him sideways which he didn't appreciate.

"I'm sick of you being mad at me so this how I'm getting your attention. Why did you take me off your visitors list? The door man wouldn't even let me up." She stated, and bam locked eyes with jourie.

"Put the fucking phone on speaker kamarion." Jourie spat seriously. She still didn't know who was on the phone, and he wasn't about to play in her face.

She was aggravated beyond measures already, she didn't know why but she was so agitated, and then to walk in his room and someone was blowing him up, she almost slapped his out his sleep.

Huffing, he knew she wouldn't be happy with what Pierre was saying but he didn't want to break her trust more than it already was. So, he pulled his phone away from his ear and hit the speaker button.

"Whatchu said Pierre." His voice was raspy, and it had Pierre nibbling on her bottom lip almost forgetting the task at hand.

"I said, I'm tired of you being mad at me. So if I gotta blow your phone up then so be it, why did you take me off your visitors list? I couldn't even come up." She pointed out.

"I'm not even mad at you no more. That shit was immature on yo part and you grown as fuck. Regarding the visitors list, ion think it's cool for you to be popping up to my place like you do no more, I'm not trynna make my girl uncomfortable so I apologize. If you wanna come by all you gotta do is call and I'll let you up." He explained.

His eyes were penetrating jouries, looking at her the whole time he spoke as if he were explaining himself to jourie and not Pierre.

"So that's the kind of friend you choose to be? The one who neglects their friendship and acts different once they get in a relationship?" Pierre sounded distraught.

"No, but I can say that I do focus more my girl when I have one. I'm not trynna neglect you, but considering my past mistakes I don't wanna make her uncomfortable, like I said. As a female I feel like you would understand what I'm saying right?" He licked his lips, still trying to wake up.

"I really don't. Yo girlfriend is that insecure that you feel like you can't even have female friends?" She remarked.

"It's my decision, the precautions I take is what I chose. Even if she was insecure she would have the right to be, it's my job to enforce the trust in her Pierre. Stop trynna be degrading because that's not you." He was serious and she could tell.

"I'm not trynna cut you off, but the way you acting right now is making it hard." He stated.

"But bam...you my only friend. What am I gonna do with you distancing yourself?" She responded.

"What was you doing before me?" He started, "When you met me you was this girl who worked all the time, and took care of doobie, all type of shit like that pertaining to your goals. I haven't seen you do shit like that in months, or heard you talk about that shit any more. What happened?" He didn't mean to have the conversation in front of jourie but that's how he felt.

"That's what we're doing now? Why are you throwing that in my face?" Pierre questioned him, hurt by his line of questions.

"I'm not trying to throw anything in your face Pierre. I genuinely want to know. You keep bringing up us being friends but you not acting like the same person I wanted to befriend. Get it together for real." He told her seriously.

He pressed the end button on the call, and hit the power button on his phone. "I'm sorry mama, you know I ain't mean to make you feel uncomfortable." He swore reaching for her wrist.

"No don't try to fucking sweet talk me kamarion. You need to block that bitch she way to comfortable." She crossed her arms over her chest.

She fell on top of him in the bed. "I'm serious! You not about to play in my face. I tried to give that bitch a chance because she my cousin but she know better than fucking wit me. I will beat her ass." She raved, angrily.

"I know mama, she usually not like that but I think me being in a relationship wit you is getting to her. If you want me to block her then I will." He swore, caressing her sides softly.

"Do it right now. In my face." She was still angry, and refused to let him sweet talk her to where she would forget. Even though that wasn't what he was trying to do, he understood the frustrations she had.

"Aight." He reluctantly agreed. Picking up his phone, he unlocked it and went to her contact, blocking it right before her eyes.

Once he finished, he made sure she saw before placing his phone down. "There, I did it.", wrapping his arms around her, he pulled her into him. Hugging her, and laying his head on her chest as always. "You be acting so mean for no reason. Yelling at me like my damn momma for no reason." He muttered softly.

"I'm sorry, daddy." She laid her head to the side, her cheek was pressing against his forehead.

Attempting to push her off of him, she tightened her grip around his neck.

Smacking his teeth, he muttered, "Stop jourie, you jus want me to fuck you, and I ain't."

"But whyyyy." She dragged out in a child like manner. "Why do you hate me the way you do kamarion. I don't deserve this, I feel like I'm itchin' or something."

"Cause we not, and I'm for real so don't even start that cry baby shit." He stood firm on his choice. He noticed she had been hinting at it a lot, and wondering why they weren't having sex.

He hadn't told her, but he had his own reasons of course.
He wanted them to be together for real before they got comfortable having sex again.

Pulling his head back away from her chest, he caught a glimpse of her glossy eyes and shook his head. "I'm for real, crying ain't gone work, ma." He shook his head.

"Let up." He tapped her leg twice softly. She sighed but removed her arms from around him, and got off of him. It was crazy how only moments earlier she was livid at him, and now she didn't even want to let him out of her arms.

Studying him as he stood to his feet, he went to his dresser slipping on a gray wife beater, clad in black sweat pants. "Where are you going?" She questioned.

"Down stairs, my new shoes came today." He informed her.

"Ouuu, what shoes?" She responded, crossing one leg comfortably over the other. Bam loved shoes so he was always getting some nice looking and expensive shoes.

He reached for the ponytail holder on his dresser, and slid it on his wrist in order to pull his long dreads into a low pony tail at the back of his head. "Some off-whites."

Her lips parted, "Bae, those expensive ass shoes." She pointed out in a shocked state, and he laughed.

"Jourie , how much is the shoes you got on yo feet right now." He jested, but was serious.

Glancing down at her gray, black, and white lanvin curb sneakers. "Shit I don't know, you got these for me." She reminded him, and he glanced down at them once again trying to recall the memory.

"I did?" He didn't seemed convinced as he asked her. She nodded, "It was when was together the first time right?" He clarified, because he knew that he hadn't recently bought her any shoes.

"Yep." She responded.

"Yeah dat make sense. Imma be back and den imma take a shower and get ready so we can go, Aight?" He assured her, and she nodded.

"Hurry up too , cause I'm hungry and I want some wings." She rubbed her exposed stomach. His eyes fell down to it, and he blinked.

"You love showing that ugly piercing off. When was the last time you wore a shirt that covered yo belly button." He jested.

Rolling her eyes, she smiled. "What's the point of spending money on it , just for me not to show it. Plus, I think it enhances my facial features if I'm being honest." She shrugged.

"If that make sense..." Bam playfully trailed off before sliding his feet in his Nike slides and leaving the room. Grabbing his keys he left out the door, and took the elevator down stairs to get his things.

After telling the lady at the desk about his package, she went to the back to retrieve it, and he stood there waiting patiently.

"Kamarion!"

His head swiveled around heating his government named being yelled through the establishment. His face morphing into a frown, he laid eyes on Pierre. "You know better den dat." He warned her.

"I don't give a fuck, you know better than to block me over some petty shit but you did it anyway. So I guess we in the same boat. What did I do?" She questioned him.

"How you get here so fast...I blocked you like five minutes ago." He stated.

"I was already here!"

He shook his head, and sighed. "Look, I really don't appreciate how you tried to deteriorate A'jouries character just because you in your feelings." He defended.

"I know shit ain't work out between us how you wanted but you don't got no reason to have a issue with her."

"Who says I have a issue with her?" Pierre deflected, but bam was far from dumb and she knew that. Which was why he didn't understand why she was trying to play herself.

"It's the way your acting Pierre—Mr. Montgomery, here's your package." The desk lady interrupted with a smile, handing him a medium sized all brown package box.

"Thank you." He used his manners, taking the box from her smaller hands.

"Like I was saying, you acting weird. You catching attitudes wit me for no reason, and the second something don't go your way you act weird towards me. Now you trynna talk about my girl like imma sit here and let you because we friends and that ain't the case." He expressed.

"At the end of the day, you should know I had loyalty with you because of the simple fact that my parents didn't even want me hanging around you — but I let myself build my own opinion on you, and I didn't penalize you for the weird shit yo momma did. You making me regret it." He hated to say it, but it was true.

Staying true to himself, he still kept her as a friend feeling it was unfair to judge her for her mothers actions, and now she was making him look stupid. All he was trying to do was be a good friend and form his own perception of her and she was proving his parents right, which he hated to admit.

"Bam, how did our parents get brought into this. First of all don't try to make my momma look evil because your parents aren't Saints and I think you failing to realize that. My mom is not as bad as they painted her out to be. Your mom literally broke my momma neck with her bare hands before but my mom is the threat?" She defended her mother, feeling as if it were her duty.

"You cant possibly believe your momma was innocent." He was confused on how she shifted it to their parents instead of them, "not only did she do foul shit to my parents but she did to my uncle Saint and you too. Are we forgetting she lied about who she was, and didn't even tell your dad about you? You were robbed out of a father for over twenty one years." He didn't meant to throw it in her face but she wasn't about to disrespect his parents.

"And my momma broke her neck because she jumped her and my god momma wit like ten other girls... stop trynna twist it around to make her a victim." He raised his eyebrows, "regardless, this not about them it's about us. You being weird, so yes I blocked you. I tried to be a good friend, but I'm at a good point in my life and I don't have time for the drama."

"What does she have that I don't?" Pierre ignored him, asking the question that had been burning through her mind. She had been stalking jourie, analyzing her, inside and out.

They were opposites for sure on the outside, but Pierre didn't think she was that bad.

Jourie was taller than her, she had a darker skin tone and alluring smile. She also knew jourie had a slick mouth on her, and a nasty attitude at times since she was with her brother at one point.

She knew there had to be a flaw somewhere or else he wouldn't have cheated on her in the first place.

"Why are you trynna compare yourself to her?" He asked genuinely. "She has a lot that you don't, but I'm not attracted to her because of shit like that."

"But I promise I could be better, you never even gave me a chance bam." She didn't want to seem crazy but her heart felt like someone was physically squeezing all the life out of it.

She was about to lose bam and for good.

She wouldn't even have him as a friend anymore.

Her stomach felt like it was caving in. "Please." Her vision clouded with tears.

"Please don't cry Pierre, I hate that shit." He shook his head. It was his last intention to make her cry, because he still cared about her to an extent. After all, before everything came crumbling down they were good friends.

"How don't you want me to cry but your breaking my heart." Her voice cracked as the tears fluently fell from her eyes.

She felt like she was being broken up with.

"It's not fair that you doing this to me because you getting back in a relationship. It's not fair to me. You were there for me when I was struggling with doobie, and I was there for you when you were working on yourself from that same girl bam." The hurt was evident in her voice.

"Those nights where you didn't even wanna see anybody because you were in your room, laying in the dark sulking about the lost relationship. I was the one who brought you out of that funk." She reminded him.

He nodded, because that was true. On a few occasions his mind would wander off to jourie and he wouldn't want to be bothered with the outside word. "So you should know just how much I care about her den. She was able to change my whole mood."

"How could you want to be with someone who had you feeling like that."

"It's not like that...it's not like I ain't have her feeling the same way." He sighed. Hating how he felt the need to explain, but he wanted to defend jouries character.

They broke each others heart and that much was true, but when two people were in love with each other, eventually in order to make stuff work they moved past their mistakes and showed they could be better. That was all he was trying to do.

"This is so fucked up." She cried, letting her head hang back. The tears wouldn't stop flowing from her eyes, and she felt like she had been physically slapped in her face.

"It's fucked yo that you acting like this. I'm sorry that I hurt you with distancing myself, but you acting like we was in a relationship, in love with each other and I'm leaving you for her." He pointed out.

She wanted to tell him that's exactly what it felt like. "But bam I do love you."

The right side of his jaw twitched, "If you would've just told me that your feelings were way more than what you made it out to be, I would've gave it to you straight up so we could've avoided this, but you hid it, and now you hurt. When you wanted to try a relationship you told me you were starting to see me in a different light, not that you loved me." He wanted to walk away.

People were starting to look at him crazy noticing they were talking and she was crying.

"It's not that easy." She responded.

"And I understand that, but now look at you because you didn't say anything. You standing there crying and I can't do nothing but feel bad—because I'm not leaving jourie alone to make you happy." His words felt like a knife thrashing into her chest.

"Bye Pierre, I don't even wanna continue this shit." He felt bad because he knew it would hurt her, but jourie made him happy, and he wanted it stay happy.

Walking away from her, he made his way back up to his apartment, and let himself in.

He could see jourie in the kitchen, and sat the box on the couch going to the kitchen. "Watchu makin?" He realized she was making something.

She seemed to be glowing without the vaseline today, calm and at peace. "Those hot Cheetos mozzarella stick things. I always wanted to try em." She admitted making him smile. She had an excited look in her eyes that made his heart swell.

Standing behind her. He wrapped his arms around her body and she let him. "I love you, jourie." He mumbled, causing her to smile.

"I love you too, kamarion"
