JUST CREEPIN'

KAMARION MONTGOMERY
SEPTEMBER 23rd; SATURDAY.

BAM SWALLOWED DEEPLY, at a lost for words at the information he had just found out about right before his eyes. He swore his life couldn't get crazier.

There was no way that Pierre was saints daughter of all people. There couldn't be that many coincidences in the world. His mind was racing but the only thing he could think about was how him and Pierre would never work.

Granted they had no idea they were related, he wouldn't ever date anyone related to jourie. Not even her cousin. He didn't care what that made him, but it wasn't happening.

"I'm confused as fuck." Bam rubbed his temple feeling a headache approaching as always. He could never catch a break. He swore a weight had been lifted off his shoulders only twenty minutes earlier only for something else to happen.

"Me too, this shit is crazy as fuck." Saint had to agree with the younger boy, looking between Pierre and bam standing together. Bam literally towered over the both of him , so at first glance he didn't recognize him, but he looked just like Samir it was hard to miss.

Bam pulled out the chair next to Pierre taking a seat. He needed answers and there was no point in leaving.

Saint was never really around. He was the uncle that came around every blue moon. He had moved all over the United states within the last twenty years of his life. He wanted to experience different things.

He was a photographer, and videographer and had been since a teen, but once he graduated he became legit. He now had his own studio in texas where he finally resided.

He had lived in Georgia, louisiana, New York, Michigan, Illinois, California and New Jersey. He moved every few years, but he settled down in Texas where he got the most clientele. He was used to the south, and the population was just enough to keep business with him good.

He only visited florida around two times a year, which was Christmas and whenever he felt like it. "Uncle Saint how come we ain't know you had a kid." Bam spoke breaking Saint from his thoughts.

"Shit, i didn't know either. She reached out to me like four months ago telling me she was mine and I didn't know what to think." Saint came clean. He had no idea about Pierre until recently. Pierre nodded co-signing his story.

"When she said who her momma was and she said Cayeton I was confused as fuck. Apparently when I was in Georgia, Cayeton was living with her dad after getting out the mental hospital for whatever reason. But I didn't
Know her, and she gave me a different name. I was in a different state too so I never suspected anything." Saint explained.

"What are you trying to say?" Pierre was confused.

"No offense, I love you already and you my daughter. I'm not saying I regret you, but I would've never fucked yo momma had I known who she was." He admitted. "Yo momma jumped the fuck outta my sister years back and I wouldn't do my baby sister like that. It's nothing I can do now, it's been twenty two years since then." Saint shrugged.

Pierre smiled softly.

"But yeah bam, this only our second time meeting up in the last four months. I caught a flight out here three months ago to get a DNA test, and it came back 99.9 so yeah. She told me she wanted me to meet her boyfriend and catch up, but I never would've thought it was you." Saint licked his lips.

The waitress came up, and asked for their drink orders, and after Saint and Pierre said theirs bam asked for water before she excused herself to go get their drinks.

"So if you knew about Pierre for three months, why didn't you tell nobody then. You trynna keep it a secret or something?" Bam assumed because it would've made sense.

"What? Nah." Saint shook his head calmly with a gracious frown across his face, "I wanted to get to know her one on one before introducing her. So that I know her better. I planned to be here for a week and a half to do that." He explained his truth.

He was to grown to be keeping secrets. He just wanted to bond with his daughter. He had basically missed her entire life. She was twenty—two. He had missed all her major mile stones in life. He wanted to know what kind of person she was. Considering her mother had literally been to commited to a mental hospital before.

She seemed to be a great person, a little clingy but that was to be expected. Bam nodded slowly. "This is so weird. I'm happy that you accept him already though. That's a relief." She smiled softly.

Bam hated that he would have to break her heart, and he knew it probably wasn't the best if he did it right now, but he was battling with himself. He didn't want her to carry on, when he knew it wouldn't happen. It was a lose-lose no matter what he chose to do.

"About that..." bam trailed off. "I think we should just stay friends." Bam attempted to let her down as softly as he could without too much drama.

Pierre's face dropped and saints lips parted in shock. The way Pierre had been talking about bam made him think they were deeply in love or something so he was unsure what was happening.

"What? What happened?"

He was tired of holding the truth, he knew any excuse wouldn't be good enough unless he just came out and told the full truth. "You jouries cousin." He stated softly.

"Okay, yeah. That's very shocking but me being related to your god sister shouldn't affect our relationship. That's nothing." She was frowning deeply.

"But jourie not just my god sister. She my ex-girlfriend." He revealed truthfully, "and I just can't see myself dating jouries cousin of all people. Even if y'all didn't know, it's the principle." He continued even though Pierre was in shock.

"Wait...jouries the ex?" She was talking about the one he was always referring to.

Bam nodded his head.

"I knew it." Saint shook his head. He looked at bam, feeling like they were just like his parents. This was all too familiar. He wasn't around a lot, but when he was, he suspected romantic feelings between the two.

Pierre wanted to spew how he didn't owe jourie any loyalty since they weren't together anymore, but it wasn't the time. She felt like her heart was being torn to shreds. "We can talk about this later." She dismissed him with an attitude.

His eyes lingered on her a little longer, before he nodded slowly and solemnly looking away from her. It wasn't his intentions to hurt her and he hoped she wanted to remain friends because he liked having her as a friendly companion, but that was as far as his feelings went.

The dinner went by differently then presumed in the beginning since Saint and bam were already very acquainted with each other. They were waiting on the bill when bam spoke up again.

"So, how did you know Saint was your dad if he didn't know ?" Bam asked Pierre curiously since she hadn't explained that part.

"My momma told me back when I was eighteen. I never looked into it until recently, thinking I wouldn't find him. It was more simple then I thought though because he has a whole photographer and videography business and clientele base." She explained whilst the waitress came back with the paid bill that Saint did the honors of paying for.

Bam nodded once again, understanding. He really felt for people who didn't get to grow up with their fathers. He had always been in a two parent home, and received so much unconditional love , even now he still did.

The group stood up getting ready to part ways, and Saint dapped bam up. Saint would be taking Pierre back to her home, so bam would be the only one parting. "You gonna see everybody else while you here?" He questioned.

Saint nodded, "yeah tomorrow. I figured I could take Pierre round now that you know. You can't keep yo mouth shut for shit." Saint joked knowing bam could definitely keep a secret.

"I think you should tell them about her before bringing her. You don't wanna know how my parents reacted when they found out who her mom was." Bam made sure to keep his tone hushed as Pierre walked ahead of them engrossed in her phone.

"Damn, you right. Ion even blame them though, her momma crazy as fuck. That's what I get for being wild back then." He thought about the year he was twenty one. He had made his first move out of the state to Georgia and he was out of control.

"Man, don't say it like that." Bam scolded him, because it sounded like he regretted Pierre.

"I ain't mean it like that. Defensive ass. I'm just saying, I should've made better choices. I'm just now finding out about Pierre and I probably would've never if she ain't reach out to me." Saint cleared it up, and bam nodded once in approval.

"Aight man, imma see you. This me." He referred to his car, and stopped. He reached in his pocket for his keys and Pierre gazed at him, unable to stop his words from replaying in her head.

She couldnt believe she had been too blind to see it. Him avoiding to answer questions about her, or the awkward tension between them made so much sense now. She would've never guessed they had been together.

While they were friends he would always bring her up in little slick ways, like if she asked him how he learned to do something and he would say his ex. She always wondered who the girl was, but to know the girl was closer to him than she thought, had her wondering if she would ever have a chance with the boy.

"Bye," Pierre told bam softly, coming to him to wrap her arm around his slender torso. She inhaled smelling the cologne on his body. She loved how she smelled, and had to remind herself to get him some more colognes that she liked the fragrance of.

"Bye Pierre. Call me tomorrow okay?" He questioned her softly, hoping that she could accept he only wanted friendship with her. He wrapped one arm around her hugging her back.

"Okay." She responded with a curt nod. She pulled away, whilst Saint watched them. He grew up with Samir, and kamarion was just like him. He wasn't one for hiding his feelings, so he knew bam wasn't feeling his daughter in a romantic way. He could also tell he felt bad about not feeling her romantically.

With that, they departed, and bam got in his car before going home.

A'JOURIE WRIGHT
SEPTEMBER 24th; SUNDAY.

AJOURIE NERVOUSLY BIT on her acrylics, growing frustrated because it didn't have the same affect of her biting on her real finger nails.

She kept her nails done in attempt to stop her habit, and it worked. It was times like this though that she was aggravated she couldn't do so.

She swallowed holding her phone in her free hand before preparing to hit send.

She was taking her therapists advice, and communicating with bam regularly for the first time. Latia had told her that it wasn't fair of her to keep holding their dog hostage.

Star had basically only been jouries for the past year even though bam bought it, and she agreed to Co-parent with him. Things just didn't seem to go that way.

She was trying to turn their relationship around for the better though, and now that they were on better terms she felt it was only fair like latia preached to her.

Sucking in a breath, she sent the message and threw her phone on her bed standing up to find something to occupy herself with. She had no idea if he was even awake since it was ten in the morning.

She didn't know when she would get a reply.

A knock on her door had her thanking god she had a distraction. "Come in." She called out leaning down to scoop star out of her light pink doggy bed.

Her door opened at the same time as she sat on the bed with her small puppy laying across her lap. She used her soft palm to rub behind her ears since she liked that.

"Hey," Kourtney spoke softly entering her room making sure to close the door behind her. "I have a question and I just want you to be honest." She stated.

For some reason jouries heart rate sped up feeeling like she was in some sort of trouble. She reluctantly nodded though. "Okay, what's wrong?"

"You have been disappearing for a few days for hours the last week or so at a time , and no one knows where you be." She stated making jourie nod slightly. "Are you still messing with genesis?" She questioned her suspicions.

Jourie let out a breath of relief. "No mom I'm not." She answered truthfully. She didn't know why she was thinking the worse. "I've been going to therapy." She enlightened watching her mothers face morph.

"Therapy? For what? You didn't tell me something was wrong." Kourtney grew worried all over again, now afraid that jouries mental health was at stake.

"Actually, bam suggested it." She used better terms.

"Bam? Are you two together again? I feel like you keep me in the dark about everything now." Kourtney sighed dramatically.

"No, he actually told me it was something wrong with me and I needed help during one of our arguments." Jourie informed her mother and Kourtney shook her head.

"Y'all sound so dysfunctional." Kourtney shook her head, "since we are talking about bam. I wanna apologize about how he found out about your abortion. I was just so overwhelmed with the thought of what you did, and then you told me he knew which made it no better." She was sincere.

She never wanted it to go the way that it did, but had she known the truth she probably would've calmed down.

"I shouldn't have lied. I just thought no one would find out." Jourie removed her bonnet from the top of her head. She took her scarf off, and started to unwrap her silky hair.

"Do you promise that if you ever go through something like that you'll just come to me jourie? We always been open with each other, and I just feel like the secrets between us are distancing us. I love you too much." Kourtney expressed to her one and only daughter.

Jourie nodded. "No more secrets momma, I promise." Jourie blinked slowly, meaning it deep down. "My therapist gave me a journal to write in, and I made goals for the next few months, and one of them is to avoid telling any lies, at all." She told her mom wanting to open up about how her sessions were going.

"That's a challenge, i lie every damn day. You know your daddy trynna get me to go on a diet with him? I eat McDonald's everyday before I get home and lie bout it." Kourtney shook her head and jourie bursted into laughter, "I'm just saying girl, sometimes even lil white lies be slipping through the cracks." Kourtney shrugged her shoulders.

"But what's up? Talk to me, why are you in therapy and this is my first time hearing of it? And what is she saying?" Kourtney adjusted on the bed, and jourie smiled starting to tell her mother everything from start to beginning.

She even told her about how bam accompanied her to her last session and they made amends with each other. After a while, Kourtney expressed how proud she was, and excused herself from jouries room leaving jourie to get ready for the day.

She put on her gray essentials hoodie with a pair of black biker shorts since she planned to just be around the house. She put her straight hair in a ponytail, and a few strands were sticking out but it only enhanced her natural look.

After she applied some Vaseline to her face, and our put lip gloss on she was set for the day. She sprayed some of her new dior fragrance on, and she was finished. "Come on star let me feed you." She spoke, and the dog lifted her head up.

Jourie picked up her phone that she had been avoiding. The door bell rang but she paid no mind because her mom or dad would get it. It was Sunday so neither of them worked.

"Come on girl," jourie cooed to her puppy making her way out of her room. She brought her phone to her face unlocking it, and checked her Notification Center going down the stairs.

A smile free on her face seeing bam had texted her back ten minutes ago saying that he didn't mind getting star if she was okay with it. She went to reply, but paused feelings extra people in her presence.

Her eyes snapped up, and her face lit up at the sight of her uncle. She only saw him every blue moon. Her face faltered when she noticed Pierre next to him though.

Pierre couldn't take her eyes off of jourie. She was assessing her, and she wished that she could stop because the longer she looked the more her self esteem dropped.

"Uncle Saint...what is goin on." Jourie said in a more hushed tone, but Kourtney was thinking the same thing since she knew exactly who Pierre was thanks to her bestfriend.

"Can we talk?" He questioned looking between both of them.

Kourtney eyed him skeptically but nodded. "Living room." She instructed, walking past him. He followed her, and so did Pierre but jourie didn't move. She could feel the drama and she was in no position for it.

"I chose peace today." She let out a breath and went the opposite way towards the kitchen instead. She went to the pantry retrieving the dog food, pouring some in stars bowl which occupied her.

Once she finished jourie got a water bottle from the fridge and took a seat at the island. She took the time to finally respond to bam who was telling her he would be over later to get star.

Once they got that situated , jourie decided to scroll on Pinterest in attempt to limit herself from social media for a while.

She rubbed her lips together; and opened her camera app started to take random pictures since she felt pretty. Especially with her glowing face.

"Hey jourie," Pierre greeted walking in the kitchen confusing Jourie completely.

"Hey Pierre." Jourie greeted back sweetly, even though that wasn't the vibe she got from Pierre this time. Usually she seemed genuine. "Hey, how you know my uncle Saint?" She questioned.

A smirk-like smile appeared on her face. "He's my dad girl." She had no problem revealing, shocking the hell out of jourie.

"What? Uncle Saint got kids? That's random as hell."

"Only me. But I guess we're cousins now girl. I tell you this world keeps getting smaller and smaller." Pierre faked a laugh standing across from jourie. "I like your hair. Where did you get it from?"

Jouries eyebrows furrowed. "I'm not following."

"Your quick weave. The highlights are so cute girl." She responded.

"Ohhh, no girl all this is my real hair. My momma did it." She responded, shocking Pierre. She didn't know if she wanted to believe that.

Her eyes flew to jouries phone when it lit up, showing she had a message from bam, but she couldn't see what it said since her phone was locked. Pierre said nothing about it.

From now on, she would be keeping her eyes on jourie, and now that they were cousins it would be easier then she thought.

Bam belonged to her.
