(Sun's POV)

'Okay!' Megan, who was standing on the other end of the field with Gladion yelled. 'In this Tag battle you may use one Pokemon each! And the team with the Last Pokemon standing wins, got it?'

'Yup!' I responded, giving her a thumbs up.

'Seems reasonable!' Leven added.

'Alright! Send out your Pokemon...' Gladion paused, as we all pulled out our Pokeballs '...Now!'

(Play music)

The capsules were thrown onto the field, as we called out our partners for this battle.

'Lycanroc'

'Prince'

'Quagsire'

'Vikavolt'

'I choose you!'

Four Pokemon stood on the field, glaring at their opponents with determination. My Pokemon, Vikavolt, looked at me from the corner of its eye to tell me not to hold back. I smirked and nodded.

'You can go first!' Leven told the opposing team. Gladion and Megan exchanged glances, before smirking and nodding at each other.

'As you wish!' Megan chuckled. 'Prince use Flash to blind Vikavolt and Quagsire!' She said determinedly. With a growl Prince's rings began to glow, emitting a bright light which blinded me for a moment.

'Lycanroc use Stone Edge!' I heard Gladion say, and just as I regained my sight I saw Vikavolt and Quagsire get thrown into the air by rocks, which came from the ground. Leven and I were surprised at first, but soon smirked.

'Blinding us before attacking, nice. But can you keep up with this? Vikavolt use Double team!' I told Vikavolt, who began doubling itself. The clones buzzed in a circle around Prince and Lycanroc, making them stand back to back and stare in confusion.

'Prince use Shadow Ball rapid fire! Find the real one!' Megan ordered. Prince opened its mouth and began sending purple orbs around the area. None hit the real Vikavolt.

'They're all fake?!' Gladion gasped.

'Correct! Vikavolt use Thunderbolt!' I told the electric/bug type, who was actually hovering above the arena. It sent a bolt of Lightning down on its opponents, causing them to cry out in pain.

'My turn.' Leven chuckled, his glasses glinting. 'Quagsire use Earthquake!'

With a cry, Quagsire jumped up and down, causing multiple eruptions.

'Prince use Iron Tail on the ground!' Megan yelled. Prince obeyed and smashed its tail into the ground, causing it to throw itself up into the air and avoid the eruptions as Lyconroc was hit. Unfortunately for it, it was vulnerable up there.

'Vikavolt, Bug bite on Umbreon!' I advised. Vikavolt flew towards the dark type and grabbed it in its jaws, gnawing on it before throwing it into the ground. It was able to catch itself and landed on its feet next to Lycanroc, who was able to hold its own from the earthquake. Gladion smirked and stood in his pose.

'Lycanroc, use Counter on Quagsire!' He ordered. Lycanroc howled before charging towards Quagsire and punching it right in the stomach. It stumbled backwards, wincing, but was only just able to stay on its feet. Lycanroc must've lost quite a bit of health from Earthquake, because Quagsire is usually able to hold its own pretty well.

'Quagsire, use Giga Impact on Umbreon!' Leven ordered with a mischievous smirk, as Quagsire shot towards Prince. Megan's eyes widened, mouthing a curse word since Prince couldn't dodge in time.

'Lycanroc quickly, in front of Prince and use protect!' Gladion yelled. Lycanroc jumped in front of Prince and summoned some kind of protective bubble around them, causing Quagsire to crash into it instead. Unfortunately, it was also damaged by recoil. Megan sighed with relief, before smiling at Gladion.

'Thanks.'

'No problem.' He nodded

'Now, Prince use Psychic!' Megan advised. Prince's eyes began to glow, and soon enough Vikavolt and Quagsire were unable to move. Megan nodded to Gladion, who nodded back.

'Lycanroc, Stone Edge!'

Lycanroc growled as it summoned a bunch of rocks out of the ground. Prince then threw our Pokemon into the air with Psychic, causing them to be hit by the rocks. Vikavolt was able to catch itself, but Quagsire fell to the ground unable to battle.

'Return, Quagsire...' Leven sighed, calling back his Pokemon 'Thanks for your assistance.'

'One down, one to go!' Megan laughed, punching the air. She seemed pretty confident, but I was going to avenge Quagsire.

'Alright, Vikavolt, it's up to us.' I told the bug, who nodded in response. 'Use double team, then toxic!'

Vikavolt sent its doubles around the field, confusing Prince and Lycanroc which left them open. Then, one of the Vikavolt sprayed some purple liquid over the two, poisoning them.

'Lycanroc!'

'Prince!'

The two winced in pain, as their health was slowly being drained.

'Alright, Vikavolt,' I began, holding up my Z ring 'I think it's time to wrap this up!'

Megan and Gladion went pale as Vikavolt and I began sharing power, readying our attack. Vikavolt was surrounded by yellow light, as it absorbed energy. With a smirk I positioned my arms to finish the energy charge.

'Now! Gigavolt havoc!'

A powerful current of electrical energy was shot at Prince and Lycanroc and engulfed them. Megan and Gladion shielded their faces, blinded temporarily from the light which was emitted. As soon as the light faded both Pokemon lay on the ground, unable to battle. Megan and Gladion stood there wide eyed, dumbfounded at the fact they lost.

'Yes!' I cheered, jumping up into the air. Vikavolt landed on my shoulder and let out a happy cry.

(Megan POV)

I stared at the two fainted Pokemon with my mouth wide open, while Gladion had his eyes as wide as saucers. We ran over to our Pokemon and held them in our arms. 'Are you alright?' We asked in sync.

Prince and Lycanroc opened their eyes, smiling and nodding at us weakly. We sighed with relief, before returning them to their Pokeballs to rest.

'How annoying...' Gladion muttered.

'Hmph, whatever I don't care I lost!' I huffed, crossing my arms. Gladion sighed as he stood, pulling me up with him.

'Looks like we still can't beat you.' He stated, frowning at Sun. 'Guess we still have a long way to go.'

'Yup.' Sun nodded, popping the p.

'You could at least say something encouraging.' I pouted.

Sun opened his mouth to say something, but was cut off as someone's phone began ringing. 'Ah, sorry that's mine.' Leven laughed awkwardly and pulled out the device to answer the call 'Hello?' He said, placing the phone to his ear. 'Yes... Speaking... What?' His face suddenly went serious, and I swear his eyes flickered to me for a moment. 'I see... Yes of course I'll be right there... Alright... Yes, bye Ma'am.' He lowered the phone, and his smile returned. 'Sorry guys that was the school. Something happened in the Pokemon greenhouse so I'm going to have to check it out. Forgive me but I'll have to ditch you for now.'

'It's okay. We don't mind.' Sun shrugged, and I hummed in response. Leven sighed with relief as he placed his hand on Sun's shoulder.

'Thanks, I'll call you later okay?'

The boy blushed. 'Y-yeah. Okay!'

Leven chuckled, before waving to Gladion and I and jogging off. Sun stood there frozen, his cheeks burning.

'Leven and Sun, sitting in a tree. K-I-S-S-I-N-G!'

'Megan!' Sun snapped, his voice cracking.

'Haha, sorry... couldn't resist.' I giggled. Suddenly, my phone buzzed in my pocket to tell me I had got a text. I frowned slightly as I pulled out the device. 'Hold on...' I told the two boys, before reading the message. It was from Lillie.

'Megan! I need help! Hau just messaged me saying he wants to hang out! JUST US! I'm freaking out right now.

I sighed, before replying: 'I'll be right there...' and putting my phone away. I then turned to Gladion. 'We gotta go. Your sister's having a crisis.'

He frowned. 'What kind?'

'Boys.'

'What?!'

'More specifically Hau.'

'WHAT?!'

'Okay get your anger out before we get there so you don't say something stupid to her.' I sneered, grabbing his arm and calling out Draco. 'We don't want her to panic any more.'

'But, what's even happening?'

I rolled my eyes. 'I texted Hau telling him Lillie wanted to hang out sometime. Looks to me like he liked the idea.'

'It was your doing?'

'Mhmm.'

'Why?'

'Because they like each other, and I thought they'd make a cute couple.' I shrugged as I hoisted myself up on Draco's back and pulled my ticked off boyfriend with me. 'Honestly you're making this sound like it's a bad thing.'

'It is! What if it's a date?! Worse, what if she actually likes it?!'

'Oh Arceus forbid...'

'Megan!'

'Look. Instead of being an overprotective older brother, why don't you see this from Lillie's point of view? The guy she likes asked her to hang out, and she wants to go. But she's freaking out and needs advice from her friend and older brother. How do you think she'll feel if you act negatively about the situation?'

'...Not good.'

'Exactly. Do you want her to be able to make her own decisions?'

'Yes...'

'Then stop being a child!'

Gladion was silent for a solid minute, before wrapping his arms around my waist to signal we could take off. 'Fine...'

'Thank you. Now hold on tight. Draco, to Aether Paradise! Oh, bye Sun.'

'Uh... Bye?' Sun waved awkwardly, looking slightly confused at the situation. Draco flapped its wings, making Sun shield his face, before it took to the skies and flew in the direction of Aether.

A/N: Ooooo~ So, Hau wants to 'hang out' with Lillie. And Sun seems to be really into Leven. Also did anyone expect that kind of speech to come out of Megan's mouth? Perhaps Gladion's not the only serious one in their relationship. I wonder if Lillie will actually hang out with Hau, and if it actually is a date.
