Chapter 32: Catching up

(Leven POV)

'Sir, you asked for me?'

I pushed open the doors to the boss's office, only to find him with his back turned to me. He was staring at the screens showing our cells, his hands behind his back. Once I entered the room he turned around, gazing at me with his cold tired aqua eyes.

'Ah, Pisces, glad you could make it.' He said, before gesturing to the seat in front of his desk 'Have a seat.'

I nodded, making my way towards the simple wooden chair and sitting down. Mr. Artemus followed, sitting on his large leather seat behind his desk and picking up a few papers. Scratching his stubble he handed one to me.

'Here is the schedule for the tests.' He stated 'I want to make sure there is nothing Megan possesses that can meddle with her transfer.'

'You mean the mutation, sir?'

'Whatever you want to call it, I want her fixed like her brother and sister were. I can't have her impurity spreading through my family.'

I stared at the graph with furrowed brows, raising my glasses to the top of my head occasionally for bits I couldn't quite read. Once scanning the entire paper I made eye contact with my boss 'And... What if her pregnancy interferes?'

'Then it can't be helped.' He propped his elbows onto the desk and laced his fingers together 'We'll have to dispose of the little setback.'

'Isn't that a little harsh?'

'I would think not. She is underaged and should not take the burden of being a mother this early, especially with her badmouth. From what I've seen she would only rub that sinful behaviour onto my grandchildren, which is unacceptable. If anything, I think we'd be doing her a favour.'

'That does make sense...' I placed a hand to my chin, thinking for a moment 'How are we going to get her out of the cell though? Luke and Laura are sure to defend her.'

'Simple; split them up.'

'Sir?'

He grinned slightly 'Attempt to receive her for her first test in a few hours. If what you predict is true, we'll separate them into different cells tomorrow morning. Oh, and I would take the remote for their restrainers just in case they attempt to transform, along with Aries to help 'escort' the child to the labs.'

With a small nod to show I understood, I was dismissed and sent out of the office. I closed the door behind me and began walking down the hall, only to cross paths with a familiar caramel-headed boy.

'Hello, Leo.'

'Oh, hey Pisces.'

We stopped walking so we were in front of each other, both showing no emotion as we conversed slightly. To be honest, I wasn't too fond of Leo, and I think he thinks the same of me. However we are able to remain civil around each over during work hours.

'So, I heard the reunion went well...' Leo rubbed the back of his neck 'That's good I guess.'

'Not if we plan to run tests on them.' I retorted 'It's within their nature to protect one another, so this will make it harder to seperate them.'

He grimaced 'Good point.'

I folded up the timetable in my hands and placed it in my labcoat pocket, before running a hand through my hair 'How's treating them going?'

'Oh it's great.' He deadpanned 'I love cleaning up innocent people from unnecessary beatings.'

'We only do it when their resistant, Leo.'

He faltered slightly, turning his head away and placing his hands into his pockets. 'Still doesn't make it okay...' I thought I heard him whisper, but shrugged it off in case I heard wrong. If he didn't like the way things worked around here, he wouldn't have joined.

'Anyway.' I spoke up 'I have somewhere to be, so I'm going to have to leave you be.'

'Alright...'

'I'll see you later.' I walked past him 'Avory...'

'You too, Leven...'

(Megan POV)

'By the way, Megan.' Laura spoke up 'You seem fairly... bigger than the last time I saw you.'

I choked on my spit, while Luke slapped her round the back of her head. 'Laura, that was extremely rude!'

'Oops... Uh, no offense?'

Luke facepalmed, dragging his palm down his face before turning to me 'She is right though, sorry to say. Did our disappearance take a toll on your diet?' He asked almost teasingly. I glared at him, as I had literally just finished my coughing fit.

'I wasn't stress eating.'

'Uh-huh...'

'I WASN'T!' I growled 'THIS IS SOMETHING COMPLETELY DIFFERENT!'

Laura gasped, bringing a hand up to her mouth 'Oh my gosh, is it a tumor?!'

'No it- ARGH!' I hid my face in my hands, groaning loudly 'Ya know I think I liked you better when you weren't my siblings!'

'Rude...' Laura clicked her tongue.

'So wait... If it isn't food, or a tumor, then what is it...?' Luke trailed off, seeming to go deep into thought as he placed a finger to his chin.

My annoyed expression disappeared and was replaced with a nervous smile, and I began fiddling with my thumbs with my head turned to the side 'Uhhh... Funny story actually.'

'That can't be good.' Laura crossed her arms, furrowing her eyebrows as her brown eyes fixed directly on me.

I gulped. How on earth was I going to tell them? I'm only seventeen, which I'm pretty sure is way too soon to be a mother. Yea, I'm not the only parent in the family, but Luke was twenty one when Ashley gave birth to Emilee. Plus the fact that I sinned in general will probably make Luke's anger go right through the roof, as I can remember how much of a protective dork he can be. Laura may find this hilarious though...

'Uhm, hello? Crazy little sister spacing out, can you hear us?'

I blinked after someone had snapped their fingers in front of my face, causing my head to snap up. Laura was giving me a cocky smirk, as she was the one who snapped me out of my daze.

'You were going to tell us about why you were so fat.' She stated, ignoring the glare our brother was giving her.

'Oh, right...' I inhaled through my nose, before pointing at my belly 'Well, you see this? It kinda sort of may be a baby...'

Both my siblings blinked 'Huh?'

'Guys... I'm pregnant.'

...

...

...

'EXCUSE ME?!'

'SERIOUSLY?!'

Luke stared at my stomach with an expression of both shock and anger, while Laura had already toppled over and was currently rolling on the floor in a fit of laughter. I just stood there, rubbing the back of my neck in embarrassment.

'WHEN ON EARTH DID THAT HAPPEN?!' Laura wheezed, her voice getting higher after each word.

'Two days before we found out you were missing.' I muttered. 'So about three months ago.'

My sister let out another laugh, smacking the concrete floor with one hand and clutching her stomach with the other. Luke however didn't seem so pleased.

'Megan.' He spoke darkly 'I'm sure you know I do not approve of this, you're seventeen for Arceus sake!'

'I know, and I'm sorry!' I yelled with a guilty expression 'Gladion and I just got caught up in the moment!'

'What moment?' Laura stopped laughing, placing her hands onto the ground to push herself up into sitting position. I let out another awkward laugh.

'Well...' I let out a deep breath 'About a week after finding out about my family name, Gladion had decided the awkwardness between us had got to stop and wanted us to talk it out. We did, and... well, let's just say we said some things-'

'Which got you horny?' Laura cut in, smirking in a rather perverted matter. I waved her off.

'We said some things,' I repeated, glaring at my sister 'to show how much we cared about each other, but it wasn't enough for either of us. Next thing I knew we had our pants off and I was hanging onto Edgelord's torso while being carried to the bed.'

Luke glared 'Let me guess, you didn't use protection.'

'...No.'

He sighed, massaging his temple while leaning his back against the wall 'Well... I guess it can't be helped. I hope Gladion didn't act too d*ckish about it.'

Gladion...

The air suddenly became thicker which caught Luke and Laura's attention, causing them to turn their heads to me. I had leant my back against the wall, head down as I once again began playing with my promise ring. There weren't any tears, but I could tell they weren't far off.

'Megan?' Laura called, taking a step toward me.

I took my bottom lip between my teeth, my gaze travelling to the bars we were behind 'Sorry... No he didn't act like a d*ck. In fact he was ecstatic about being a dad.'

'So, why do you look so sad now?'

Tears formed in the corners of my eyes as I slipped my ring off my finger and clutched it in the palm of my hand, pressing my fist against my chest 'The same reason why I was captured and brought to this place... The two of us messed up. Badly.'

Luke made his way toward me, placing a comforting hand on my upper arm 'How bad?'

A single tear rolled down my cheek as I began explaining everything that happened while they were gone. I tried to give as much detail as I could without sobbing or hiccupping, which failed as it was extremely painful. Throughout the story my siblings' expressions got visibly sadder, and at the end they too were on the verge of tears.

As soon as I finished I let out a shaky giggle, wiping my eyes and nose with my palm 'So yea, you missed a lot...'

Without another word Luke had pulled me into a comforting embrace, resting his chin on top of my head as he allowed his tears to fall 'I'm so sorry...'

Laura joined in, hugging me from behind and burying her head into my shoulder. I relaxed into their embrace, before whispering:

'You have nothing to be sorry for...'

'Well, isn't this special~' A male's voice cooed, making us turn our heads to the bars. Two men stood there with cocky smirks. Leven and an older male with messy blonde hair.

'Pisces and Aries...' Luke growled, pulling Laura and I closer.

A/N: CLIFFHANGER!

BOOM SHAKALAKA! There we go, it's done. Cut! Print! Check the tape! Moving on!

Jeez Louise! This one took some planning out, especially with the wording. Like, God dayum.

Also if you're wondering why I'm typing such weird things right now, it's because I'm drinking an energy drink right now... Or rather, have been drinking it and am currently resting my chin on the bottle while I type. What? It's comfy.

Alright I'm gonna go now. I've been gazing at my college home screen for ages to see if I'm off tomorrow. If so... SNOW DAY, WHOOP WHOOP!

...... Okay bye
