(Megan POV)

Tch, look at me. Helpless and alone. I suppose I deserve it, after being too cocky and pushing Gladion past his limit. I suppose I deserve it after spurting all that sh*t from my mouth. I... I suppose I deserve it for ever thinking I could live happily. I was a fool.

Love, what a powerful yet vulnerable thing. Once you have it you feel like nothing can stop you, and like... the missing part of your heart has been filled. However, if the love breaks so does your heart. Something so powerful can be broken so easily... That must be why I'm hurting so bad right now... It's my own fault.

Suddenly a scene came into view. A memory. I was suddenly surrounded by stalls and people, like it was a festival... Wait, I know what this is!

'Jesus tapdancing christ!' I gasped

(3rd POV)

'Seriously, Lillie the festival's not going anywhere. You can stop dragging us around.' Gladion sighed as his sister continued to drag him and his date through the crowd. Megan was silent, pouting and glaring at the platinum haired girl's back with narrowed eyes. She knew this was gonna happen. Lillie hadn't only planned the date, but planned the entire day as well. Goooood dammit...

'I know! But there's something I want you guys to try out first!' Lillie told them excitedly.

The couple groaned, but continued to let her lead them to wherever they were headed. They eventually stopped at a stall which sold ramen, which to be honest did look really good. And since it was close to lunchtime it made Megan's mouth water even more. Lillie turned to the couple and grinned, pointing at them with her index.

'You two are going to do the couple challenge.' She stated.

Megan blinked 'The what now?'

'The couple challenge. It's where you get a large bowl of ramen between two which you have to eat in half an hour. But there's a rule!' Lillie wagged a finger in Megan's face. Gladion rolled his eyes.

'Great...'

'The rule is, you can't feed yourselves. You can only feed your partner. Hence why it's called the couple challenge!'

'Nope.' Gladion breathed, turning to leave only to be pulled back by his sister.

'You're not getting out of this, brother.' Lillie grinned, pushing him toward Megan before running off 'Have fun~!'

Gladion sighed, massaging his temple before turning to Megan 'I am so sorry...'

Megan didn't answer, and was instead staring at the 'couple challenge' option on the menu with a thoughtful pout. Gladion's eyes widened.

'Wait wait wait! Are you actually considering it?!'

Megan glanced at him from the corner of her eye, her cheeks dusting a light shade of pink 'I mean... yeah. Lillie went out of her way to plan this for us, so it would be nice to go along with her plan...'

'Uh-huh... You just want me to feed you, don't you...?'

'No!... yeah...'

Gladion sighed. He wasn't exactly against the idea himself, but he was pretty nervous. He hadn't fed a girl before. Heck, he never had a girlfriend before.

'Alright.' He gave in 'We'll do it.'

'Sweet!' Megan jumped for joy.

(Timeskip)

'TIME'S UP!'

'Dang it!' Megan whined as she swallowed her mouthful 'We were so close!'

Gladion leaned back in his chair, placing his chopsticks back on the table 'You didn't eat fast enough.'

'Excuse me?! You're the one who offered me food every two seconds!' Megan scoffed 'No one eats that fast!'

'I managed to.'

'Yeah well... You have inhuman speed!' Megan pouted, crossing her arms.

'Oh, Meg... You have a little- here let me get it.'

Gladion turned her face towards him, wiping some food away from the corner of her mouth with his thumb. She blushed at his action, but thanked him anyway.

'Well, uhm.' Megan rubbed the back of her neck 'We still got some time before Lillie wants us at the Petting zoo, can't imagine why...' She rolled her eyes 'You wanna look around for a bit?'

'S-Sure.' Gladion nodded. His face was also slightly red.

The two rose from their seats after paying the bill and leaving a tip, and left the stall behind them. Megan gripped onto Gladion's arm as they made their way through the crowd, as she wasn't exactly comfortable with public places.

'Are you sure you want to go through with this?' Gladion asked her.

'Huh? Of course. Lillie spent so much time on this and-'

'I'm not asking what Lillie wants. I'm asking what you want.'

Megan bit her lip nervously. She obviously didn't like the festival, but couldn't bring herself to reject Lillie's date idea. Gladion stopped walking, before slipping his arm from the girl's grasp and instead wrapping it around her waist. 'Let's go somewhere less crowded.' He whispered into her ear, causing her to nod.

Gladion led Megan through the crowd, keeping a firm yet gentle hold on her so she didn't slip from his grasp. Finally they found themselves on a hill with picnic benches. There were a few families there, but was pretty quiet compared to the actual festival. Gladion literally felt the tension fade from Megan's body.

'Wanna sit down?' He asked her.

She nodded again.

He nodded back and lead her to one of the benches, sitting down with her still in his hold. Only then did he notice how much more relaxed she was after being moved away from the public.

'Thank you...' She suddenly murmured while finally looking up at him, as up until now she kept her eyes directly in front of her. Gladion pulled her closer, allowing her to rest her head on his shoulder.

'Should I give it to her now?' He thought to himself, looking around 'I may not get another chance to be alone with her like this today...'

'Whatcha thinkin 'bout?'

Gladion turned his head in surprise, to find Megan giving him that cute smirk of hers. He coughed nervously.

'U-Uh... Just thinking about how I'm gonna do this.'

'Do what?'

Megan lost her smirk, now frowning at the boy with her eyebrow raised. Gladion fumbled for the right words.

'I- Well- Uhm-... Oh screw it!'

He unwrapped his arm from her and slid off the bench, kneeling down in front of her and taking her hand. He used his spare hand to feel around for something in his hoodie pocket, sighing in relief as soon as he found it.

'I want to make a promise to you, that I'll take care of you until the day I die. Maybe one day get married, have kids... But we're still young and there's still time to think about that. What I'm trying to say is-' He pulled out a silver ring, which had both their birthstones cut in the shape of hearts attached. 'I want to stay by your side forever. Will you let me?'

Megan stared at the promise ring with wide eyes, her heart thumping so fast it felt like it was about to burst. 'I- Yes... I will.' she nodded, her lips curling into a smile.

Gladion smiled bigger than he ever had done, before sliding the promise ring onto her finger. She didn't even take time to admire it, as she threw herself forward and enveloped her beloved boyfriend into a hug. He happily returned it, gently stroking her hair as she buried her face into his shoulder.

'So I take it you like the ring?' He joked.

'Gladion... I would've loved it if it was a bloody ring pop! It's the meaning behind it that makes it special. But yea, it is pretty great.' She stated, glancing at the ring from over his shoulder.

Gladion laughed, pulling away slightly to stare into Megan's eyes. 'What did I do to deserve you...?'

'Probably something pretty gosh darn horrible.' Megan smirked 'To be honest I'm surprised you haven't gotten tired of my sarcasm yet.'

'I'd never get tired of my future wife.'

'Future what?'

'Future wife. I should introduce you to her sometime, I'm sure you'd get along.'

Megan puffed her cheeks, raising one of her hands from his neck to whack him round the head. Gladion laughed. 'You know I'm joking.'

Megan rolled her eyes playfully.

Gladion smiled before tightening his hold around her waist, closing the space between them so their lips pressed together. Megan kissed back without hesitation.

'Hey, lovebirds!' One of the dads yelled at them, interrupting their moment 'Cut the PDA will ya, there are kids present!'

Megan pulled away, an irk mark appearing on her forehead as she glared at the parent 'Oh yeah? Well how'd you get the rascals in the first place, huh?!'

The man went red in the face, while his two kids stared at him with their mouths hung wide open. Without wasting another beat he began running towards the couple angrily.

'Sh*t, RUN!' Megan screamed, grabbing Gladion's hand and dragging him away from the 'mad dad'.

'You just had to open your mouth!'

'Oh hush, you love me!'

'Well duh!'

(Megan POV)

There are many regrets I possess, but loving him is definitely not one of them. I see that now...

How could I have been so blind? I let a stupid fight get between us and look where that got me! Actually... Where am I? Why am I being tied up?

My eyes slowly fluttered open, my head throbbing and my eyes sore. I felt someone tying my hands to the back of a chair, which I was currently sitting on. Oh now I remember, I was kidnapped. Awesome...

'Ow!' I hissed as the person tugged at my wrists violently 'Do you mind?!'

'Oh, you're awake.' A male's voice said smugly, and the person walked around until he was right in front of me. He was tall yet scrawny, with long green hair that he kept in a messy man bun and dark brown eyes. He also had a slight stubble and was wearing a labcoat.

'Greetings,' he gave me a crooked smile. 'I am Capricorn, it's a pleasure to meet you.'

'Greetings... I don't give a f*ck.' I said monotonously.

'Still just as cocky when tied down, huh Megs?' Another voice spoke from the shadows 'And here I thought I'd get to see you scared for once.'

That voice...

A familiar male emerged from the darkness, smirking at me as my mouth hung agape. His name rolled right off my tongue.

A/N: So I know what y'all are thinking. Why did Edgelord and Meg have flashbacks of their first date(s)? Well, my dear readers, the answer to that is simple. Our two lovers were questioning their relationship in their darkest time, to which their minds were like 'Nah fam, ain't happening.' and began reminding them what they really needed. Each other... And what better way to do that than to show them their first date(s).

Also I kinda just wanted to write about the date for a while now... and it seemed to fit so I took the opportunity
