After Story: Megan's Pokemon
(Welcome to the first JBL After Story. Yes this won't be the only one. There are still things I want to write about, and I felt like this might be a good way to do it. Call it a multi Epilogue. Just saying this one's really short, but the others will be longer. I hope they will anyway. But enough talking let's just get to this giant pile of fluff. Yes it will have fluff in it.)
(3rd POV)
"Oh my Goooooooood!" Megan groaned, literally flopping onto her bed as soon as she entered her bedroom. Which of course left Gladion to carry their bags. Though, at this point he just couldn't be mad at her. He was just happy she was home.
"You have no idea how much I've missed my own bed!" Megan exclaimed, her voice muffled by the bedsheets "It's been way too long!"
"I bet," Gladion chuckled as he dropped their bags into the corner, rolling his shoulders down before turning to his girlfriend "I'm sure cell floors aren't that comfy, either."
"You have no idea..."
Prince, who had been standing in the doorway with Silvally, trotted over to his trainer and jumped onto the bed, lying down next to her 'So, what are you going to do first now that you're finally back home?' He asked.
"Sleep..."
'What? Out all the things, you're just gonna sleep?!'
"Yup... Can't move..."
Prince blinked, before turning to Gladion who had a questioning look on his face. The dark type rolled his eyes, jumping off the bed before trotting behind Gladion and nudging his legs forward. The boy stumbled slightly, turning back to Prince to glare at him. But he just gestured towards Megan, making a sleeping face before shaking his head.
"You... Don't want me to let her sleep?" He asked, raising an eyebrow.
Prince shook his head again, and began jumping around as if he was playing. Silvally seemed to know what he was doing and joined in his little game of charades.
Gladion's eyes narrowed further "You want her to play?"
Prince nodded again, before pointing to himself with his paw.
"With you?"
He shook his head, gesturing to Megan with his head and pointing to all of him.
"I don't get what you-- Oh." Gladion's eyes widened in realisation "You want her to go see her Pokemon, don't you?"
Prince and Silvally jumped up and down, letting out happy cries which told Gladion he was right. He smiled at Prince, silently praising him for his idea, before walking over to Megan who still had her face buried into the bedsheets. He sat down next to her and began gently shaking her shoulder.
"Megan~ Sweetie come on, get up~"
"No..." was her muffled reply "I know what you want, unlike you I can actually hear what that rascal's saying..."
Prince scoffed from the sidelines.
"But don't you want to see your team?" Gladion asked while leaning down to prop himself on his elbow, resting his head on his palm.
"I do, but I'm tired give me a few... hours."
Gladion rolled his eyes "Meg, can you lift your head for a moment?"
"Whyyyyy?"
He ran his free hand through her hair "Please?"
She let out an irritated growl, but lifted her head to look at him anyway. Only to have a soft kiss placed on her lips, causing her face to heat up immediately.
"I think I'm awake now..." She whispered.
"Good. Shall we go see them then?" Gladion asked with a smirk, standing up and holding a hand out.
Megan rolled her eyes with a small smile, taking her boyfriend's hand and letting him pull her to her feet "Fine, have it your way."
---
The teenagers stood in front of the garden area, which is where their pokemon were when they weren't traveling or training. Megan let out a breath, gripping Gladion's hand tighter and pursing her lips together.
"You okay?" Gladion asked as he turned to her.
"Just nervous."
"About?"
"Whether they're mad about me abandoning them."
"You didn't abandon them, though. You were captured."
"Because I ran."
Gladion paused, recognising those words from her father "You were actually hurt from that."
It wasn't a question, but a statement. Megan gripped his hand tighter, eyes narrowing as they stared at the ground.
"They were spoken by my 'dead' father, Gladion. It's kinda hard not to pay attention."
Gladion sighed, turning to wrap his free arm around her and resting his head on top of hers.
"I can assure you that they don't think you abandoned them."
"They don't?"
"Of course not. They know you, Megan. They know you'll never abandon them, no matter what the situation." He held her tighter "They missed you, and I don't think they can wait another minute to see you again. So you know what you should do?"
"...What?"
He lightly pushed her towards the garden "Go to them. Show them they're right."
"But--"
"I'll be right here. I promise."
Megan stared at him for a moment, acknowledging the gentle smile he was showing her and the support she felt from him. She smiled back, confidence soon taking over her features as she began moving towards where her Pokémon were.
She stopped as soon as they came into view, and she counted to see if they all were there. Staraptor, Salamence, Marowak, Roserade, Mudsdale, Monferno, Silvally, Milotic, Rhyhorn, Minccino and Gallade were all chilling out, talking and running around laughing. The sight made her smile slightly.
'You ready?' Prince asked, smiling up at her.
She let out a breath, nodding before taking a step towards them. She brought two fingers to her lips and whistled loudly, getting their attention. They all slowly turned their heads, eyes widening as soon as they saw her.
"Hey." She smiled sheepishly.
Happy cries erupted around the area, and before she knew it Megan had a stampede of Pokémon heading right towards her. First to greet her was Silk, her Minccino, and Tybalt, her Marowak, who jumped up onto her shoulders and began nuzzling her face. Then it was Flash the Staraptor, and Draco the Salamence who landed next to her and rubbed their heads against her arms. Next was her Monferno, Brad, who literally tackled her to the ground for a hug. Wave, her Milotic slivered up to them and coiled his long body around her. Gravel, the Rhyhorn ran around them happily along with Epona, the Mudsdale. And finally, Blade and Shu, her Gallade and Roserade wrapped their arms around her for a hug.
Edge and Prince watched from the sidelines, gentle smiles on their faces as their trainer laughed from a the affection she was getting.
"You gonna join them?" Prince asked Edge, not looking away from the scene.
"I think I will let them have their moment," She replied, eyes gentle "Knowing that my trainer is home is enough for me, for now at least."
Prince nodded "Me too..."
---
Gladion watched Megan reunite with her Pokémon, smiling as he pet Silvally.
"You know," he began "I really need to introduce you to my Pokémon."
A rumbling sound came from the Pokémon, showing that he agreed.
"Silvally?"
Another rumble.
"I'm glad we're friends. I know we didn't properly meet until a few months ago, but it feels like I've known you for years."
Silvally purred, rubbing his head against Gladion's arm as if to say 'I feel the same way.'
