Chapter: Six
Potter Really Stinks

There are some good days and some bad days. But a bad day doesn't mean a bad life... Right? WRONG! Because some bad days are so messed up that the entire existence of mankind feels useless. Yeah. It was one of those day- Week actually.

Students were roaming around the castle wearing badges that said 'POTTER STINKS' when the Potters walked by and 'Support CEDRIC DIGGORY' The rest of the time. No one except Hailey, Hermione, Neville and the Creevey brother believe Harry. Not even Ron. He was rather the rudest to them. Throwing harsh glares every time they walked by.

And to fuel things up, Rita Skeeter had written loads of rubbish about Harry on the daily prophet. And he was being teased about it all the time. And not to forget how fast the first task was approaching.

Turns out Harry had written to Sirius after getting picked as a champion. And he asked the twins to meet him in the common room at one o clock at night. But the problem was Hagrid too had asked Harry to meet him down at the forbidden forest. He mentioned it had something to do with the task.

"But Harry, won't you be late for the meeting with Sirius?" Hermione asked as the three of them were studying in the library.

"But it can be something important," Hailey said shrugged. She looked up over Harry's head to see Cedric standing there. He had a book in his hand but rather was staring at them. As soon as their eyes met the boy blushed looking away and making her laugh. He slowly turned back to her and gave a sheepish smile before waving.

Hailey smiled waving back.

"And then I think- Hailey you even listening?" Harry asked as he followed her eyes to see what she was looking at. He wasn't really surprised by Cedric. "Hey. I'm pouring out my feelings and you're staring at some boy you met two months ago?"

"Oh no, Harry." She laughed patting his back. Hailey knew he was a bit emotional at the moment. He was being ignored by his best friend. Sure he loved Hailey and Hermione to death. But there was something else about Ron. He had this technique of making everything less intense. Harry hiss that. He also missed his sense of humour.  But he was being a foul git at the moment. So no. He wouldn't try and talk to him.

"My feelings feel neglected."

"Stop being so dramatic Harold."

As midnight arrived, the twins sneaked out of their dorms and met in the common room. Harry had already pulled his invisibility cloak over him. Entering the common room, they were surprised to see the Creevey brothers with a bunch of 'Support CEDRIC DIGGORY' badges. Hailey gave her brother a small nod assuring him to leave.

"Hey Hailey. What are you doing here at this time?" Colin asked with a small smile. The boys were always nice to them. Though they did annoy them a bit when they were younger, but they had a pure soul. And Hailey loved that.

"I should be asking the same question to you two." She said pointing at the two brothers. "What are you two doing here?"

"We're trying to bewitch these badges," Dennis said proudly holding them up. "We're gonna make them 'Support HARRY POTTER' instead."

"Oh yeah?" She asked with a laugh.

"Yeah."

The three sat together down and chatted. The boys were still on the floors trying to bewitch them while the girl sat on the sofa. Soon enough an hour passed by, but Harry didn't return. But he will be returning soon.

"Boys," Hailey said as she kept a hand on their shoulders. "Go to bed."

"But-" Dennis tried to protest but she cut him off.

"These badges don't matter." She said with a smile. The badges had turned into 'POTTER REALLY STINKS' And were permanent on that. But still, the boys tried their best.

Both of them apologized before heading off to bed. Hailey was sitting on the sofa in front of the fire when suddenly a face appeared on the fire making her almost piss her pant.

"What in the- Sirius?!" She said as he stared at her godfather's face in horror. "How did you- How the hell did you do that? God! Magic can be horrifying sometimes." She muttered sitting down in front of the fireplace.

Sirius let out a laugh seeing her ramble like that. "Scared you did I?" He said as Hailey nodded. "How are you anyway?"

"Wonderful." She said as she took one of the badges from the table and held it up so he could see it. He narrowed his eyes as he read what they said.

"People wear that?" He said as she nodded.

"They do." She said. "Cringe aren't they? That's why I hate people. Even Ron's been acting strange. Harry's upset about that."

"It'll be okay munchkin, don't worry. Besides where is Harry?"

"Oh he's-" She was cut off when the common room door opened and Harry came in looking paler than usual.

"Hails you won't believ- What the hell?!" He exclaimed seeing the face in the fire making both Sirius and Hailey laugh. "Oh, Sirius. Hey."

"Hello, Harry." The man laughed as he sat down beside Hailey on the ground. "How are you?"

"I was good until now." He said. "The first task has dragons."

"What?"

Harry then went ahead and told both of them all about the task. Making Hailey panic. The conversation was pretty dark. Sirius information the two about Durmstrang's headmaster Karkaroff and how they should keep their eyes open at all times. Things weren't going well at the ministry as well.

Footsteps could be heard and Harry quickly held his hand up, indicating Sirius to leave. Harry looked pissed as Sirius was about to tell him how to get past a dragon. They both looked behind them and saw the last person any of them expected to be.

"What are you two doing here?" Ron asked who was standing there in his maroon pyjama.

"What's that got to do with you?" Harry spat out. "What are you doing down at this time of the night?"

"I was just wondering where you-" Ron stopped himself. "Nothing, I'm going bad to bed."

"Just thought you'd come nosing around did you?" He shouted as Hailey looked at him with a warning look. Ron didn't have any idea what was going on. Harry was just taking his anger out on him. Again...

"Harry." She whispered keeping a hand on his arm.

"Sorry about that," Ron said his face reddening with anger. "I'll let you get on with practising for your next interview."

Harry took the badge that was lying beside Hailey and he threw it at Ron as hard as he possibly could. "There you go." He said. "Something for you to wear on Tuesday. You might even have a scar if you're lucky. That's what you want isn't it?"

He had crossed the limit. Both of them did. Ron stormed off the common room.

"Brilliant. Did you have to be so mean?." Hailey said to her brother before going after Ron. "Ron! Ron please-"

"What in the bloody hell do you want Hailey?!" He yelled making her physically flinch.

"Ron... He didn't mean that. He was just angry. And-"

"I don't need your fucking explanation!" He yelled. He was mad at Harry. Fame was getting to his head.

"Well first of all don't you dare raise your voice at me Ronald Bilius Weasley! And secondly of all what the fuck is wrong with you huh? He's your bloody best friend! He could die out there on the task and you still think he put his name in there? God... You have a brain, fucking use it then!" She exclaimed, her chest rising up and down heavily as she muttered the last part. "You have any idea how much it hurts him? The whole school could be against him and he'd be fine with that. But you're his best friend..."

At her words, Ron looked guilty. Harry walked to the stairs to find them standing there. He had heard loud voices and ran here before they ripped each other's throats out. "What's going on?"

"Nothing. Just putting some sense into his head." Hailey muttered. "I'm going to bed."

She said nothing more but slammed the girl's dormitory door hard making both the boys flinch. They looked at each other and gulped. This girl scared them both.
