"Let me say goodbye to Kook-"

"Let's go!" The middle-aged-woman tightly grasps onto the girl's wrist.

Kyun avoided her father's gaze of sadness as she knew that she was a criminal. She knew that she shouldn't be like him. So she did her best to avoid any interaction with him.

"But-"

Kyun protested, but it was not enough for her to see her beloved bestfriend.

"No buts!" She shouted before pushing the girl.

Kyun silently looks for Kook as it was the time for their playtime. She hoped that he would be there, running torwards me with dispair, shouting at me to don't go. But he wasn't.

'He should be there by now.' She thought, tightening her fists into balls. Her gaze was fixed upon the playground that was before her.

'Kook, please.'

But it was too late, she has already been pushed in the car. The engine roared as the playground soon faded away from her sight. She gently laid her back, tears silently flowing down.

She bit her lip, furiously wiping her tears away.

'I didn't even get your name.'

---

"Kyun! Sorry I was late!" Kook shouted before quickly running his way to the playground.

He waited for a response, but it didn't come. As he reached the playground, he was greeted with an empty space at the swings.

"Kyun?" He looked around.

"You're hiding from me aren't you?" He giggled before running around to find his best friend.

He panted as he was tired from running around.

"Kyun?! I give already! Come out!" Kook shouted, bringing up both of his arms.

"You're not here yet?" He then sat on one of the swings before quickly humming himself a song.

'Well, I'll wait for you. Looks like I wasn't the one late.'.

He chuckled.

He looked around the playground as kids were having fun. He wanted join them while waiting for Kyun, but he didn't know them. He wished he did but being with Kyun is already enough for him.

Kyun, he didn't expect her to come into his life. He wasn't really fond of girls. He prefers to hang out with boys instead. He feels awkward and shy with girls, but Kyun. Kyun is different. There's something with her that makes my heart beat faster.

He shook his thoughts off,

'She must be busy...'

He looked back at the ground as he waited.

And waited.

And waited.

But she didn't come.

Kook frowned as the noise soon faded away into a sound of breeze hitting his hair. He noticed that the sky started getting dark. He sighed, getting up from the swing.

"I'm sorry Kyun, it's past my curfew. Let's play tomorrow!" He shouted into the air, speedily walking his way back to their apartment.

"Jungkook, you're back. Did you have fun with Kyun?" His mother said as soon as Kook got home.

"..."

He couldn't reply, as he avoided her eyesight.

"Yeah, I did." He lied, grinning.

"Well, that's nice. Let's have dinner now, shall we?"

---

Kook. He's more special than what you think he is.

It's like doing a puzzle. A gigantic puzzle. Filled with many holes. Missing pieces. But he helped me find the missing pieces. But a piece have been missing. It wasn't complete just yet.

She looked at the necklace he gave to her back then, a few days back. She unknowingly smiled, knowing it was the only memory she has from him.

Then, as she looked out of the window, she remembered something way back then. It was an unforgettable memory for her.

---

"Hey. Kook." Kyun looked at him, sitting at the bench.

"Yeah?" Kook answered, looking at her.

"What would you do if I dissapeared one day? Will you just wait for me to come back?" She blurted out, closing her eyes.

"Where'd you get that from?" He chuckles.

"Just answer that damn question you damn-" An irk mark could be visibly seen by her forehead just now.

"OKAY OKAY OKAY!" Kook panicked, putting his hands up in surrender.

As he let them back down, he let out a huff, creating a small fog.

"I'd find you. No matter where you are. I'd even search the whole world for you- I'll move mountains, I'd do anything. I can even take a bullet for you." He quickly blurts out facts, Kyun, silently grinning.

He added,"And that's a pinky promise."

"So, you're gonna grab ammo when I ran out of it?" Kyun giggled.

"You just ruined the atmosphere you-"

---

'He said he would take bullets for me.' Kyun thought, her tears flowing down her face again.

"W-where are we going?" She unconciously stuttered.

"Somewhere." Her mother blankly replied, eyes focused on the road.

Kyun simply didn't reply, not wanting to be shouted at. She was really curious. But she didn't want curiousity to get the best of her. Even if she only thought of this as a dream, it still felt horrifying.

The next thing she knew, she already fell asleep from the deep thoughts she had with herself.

---

"Mom, who's this?" Kyun speedily blurted out as soon as she got inside the unfamiliar house, as there was someone unfamiliar infront of her.

"Uh, it's Youngjae." She smiled at her.

"Youngjae?" She slightly tilted my head in confusion as she'd never heard of that name. As she probably known, they were going to a relative to stay for a while. Or maybe their whole lives. Who knows? But she was here in an unfamiliar house.

"My boyfriend." She truthfully said, a tint of pride in her voice.

The word rang inside her head, 'boyfriend.'

Kyun didn't understand. She must be mature enough to know, but she doesn't. She's too drowned in her own thoughts to understand.

'What about dad?' Kyun immediately thought. 'He IS still my dad. No matter what.'

The guy who is known to be- 'Youngjae', turned to her direction as he gave her a small wave with a smile on his lips. A smile that was obviously fake in her eyes.
