Chapter Twelve

"Are you sure this is a good idea, Adrien?" Alya asked, glancing at the sleep deprived Prince.

"Positive," He said staring down at his phone.

Adrien, Alya and Nino were sitting in a café waiting on someone they thought could help them to find Marinette.

"Do you think our disguises are enough to hide who we really are?" Nino asked, pushing his shades up his nose.

They were all wearing disguises. Adrien wore a hat to cover his hair as well as a black hoodie, jeans, T-shirt and sneakers. He also wore blue contacts.

Nino wore the same thing as Adrien, but his clothes were a mixture of blue and red instead of black and he also wore dark shades.

Alya wore less of a disguise than them. She just work a black and purple hoodie with dark shades.

"Of course they can, but I don't see the point of us dressing up, Adrien. We aren't Princes and Princesses," Alya stated, pointing between her and Nino.

"Just be quiet," Adrien hissed. Alya rolled her eyes and Nino chuckled.

"May I take your orders?" A waitress said, popping her gum.

"I'd like a chocolate milkshake and some cookies," Adrien said, his voice high pitched and squeaky making Alya and Nino choke back a laugh.

"I'd like a lemonade and a B.E.C sandwich," Alya said in a deep voice, almost sounding like a man, making the boys choke back their laughter.

"I'd like a extra large burger with one tomato, shaved lettuce and extra mayonnaise. Make sure to fry the burger meats for 8 minutes exactly! No more, no less! I want whole wheat bread too! I also want a strawberry milkshake, I want chocolate chips in it. I want a vanilla donut, hold the sprinkles. I want a chocolate muffin, extra chocolate chips," Nino said in a girly voice, while looking at his nails. Adrien and Alya laughing silently. "Oh and I'm vegan, so you should what to put and what not to put on it."

The waitress stared at him with wide eyes, her jaw dropped.

"Okay," She said slowly before quickly walking away.

When she left they all erupted into laughter.

"I can't believe I spoke like that," Adrien wheezed.

"I don't even like lemonade," Alya laughed.

"I'm not even vegan," Nino clutched his stomach.

Adrien felt slightly happy. It's been a while since he even smiled and it felt good to laugh.

Marinette then came to his mind and his smile slowly slipped from his face.

How could he be here having fun when she was probably in pain or uncomfortable or maybe even crying?

He didn't know exactly where she was, but he knew that wherever she was she sure wasn't having the time of her life. He felt guilt wash over him.

"Hey, Adrien, are you okay?" Nino asked, noticing his best friend's change of mood.

Adrien cleared his throat and forced a smile, "Yeah, I'm fine."

Nino and Alya weren't convinced, but they decided to let it go.

The door of the diner then chimed, catching the trio's attention.

In came a redhead in glasses who's outfit needed some real help.

"Sabrina!" Alya called, waving the girl over.

Sabrina rose her eyebrows and made her way over to the table.

"Um, hi. I'm here to meet someone called Lady Wi-Fi? I don't know what kind of name is that, but do you know who she is?" Sabrina played nervously with her fingers.

"You're looking at her," Alya said scooting over. "Have a seat. We have a lot to discuss."

Sabrina sat down warily, eyeing the other two people who sat in the booth.

"Prince Adrien sent us to have a little talk with you. It's about Chloe," Adrien stated, pulling the hat down a bit more.

Sabrina perked up, "Do you know where she is?"

"I'm afraid we don't, but that's why you're here. So we can find her and Princess Marinette," Nino said, his cheek pressed to his palm.

"So we have a few questions to ask you," Alya said, taking out her notepad.

Sabrina nodded, "Okay."

"So a few weeks ago I- Prince Adrien sent out messages to people who attended his and Marinette's wedding. Chloe got one. What did she do the day before the meeting?" Adrien asked, mentally slapping himself because of his slip up.

"Well, she told me about the meeting and then she said she had to go speak to someone," Sabrina said, lightly tapping the table.

"Who did she go meet?" Alya asked, writing down whatever Sabrina said in the notepad.

"One of her fellow models, Lila Rossi," She answered.

Adrien, Alya and Nino exchanged glances.

"Okay..." Alya wrote it down.

"What was her relationship with Lila?" Nino asked.

"Well, they were sort of friends, along with Prince Nathaniel," Sabrina replied.

"I see..." Adrien started. "What was her relationship with Prince Nathaniel?"

"She was madly in love with him! But Nathaniel didn't return her feelings. She said he was far too infatuated with someone else," Sabrina let out a sigh.

"Who might that person be?" Adrien asked eagerly, sitting up in his seat.

"I-I don't know! She never told me. All she would say was 'that stupid Prince! Falling in love with that princess instead of me who clearly loves you'. She'd always say that and then she'd break down into tears. She tried to use other people to get over her feelings for Nathaniel, but it never worked. She even tried using Prince Adrien, but he paid her no mind for he already had someone," Sabrina explained, running her fingers through her hair.

The wheels in Adrien's head started to turn.

"Thank you very much Sabrina. We'll report back to the Prince and you'll be rewarded greatly," Alya gave her a smile.

"It was no problem. Just please find Chloe," She said before getting up and heading out of the diner.

"Well that was eventful," Nino let out a sigh, throwing back his head.

"Here are your orders," The waitress said, placing the orders on the table, giving Nino a wary glance before rushing away.

"They really did everything vegan?!" Nino exclaimed.

Adrien took a sip of his milkshake, glancing outside, watching people pass by.

They looked so carefree. Laughing, smiling, hugging... They looked as if their life was perfect and they didn't have a care in the world.

"Adrien, are you sure you're okay?" Alya asked, sipping Nino's milkshake.

He smiled, "Positive."

Chloe's unconscious body hit the cold concrete floor, startling her awake.

"Where am I?" She asked, glancing around the dark room.

"Somewhere far away from France," Nathaniel's voice was heard through the dark room, but Chloe couldn't pinpoint where in the room it came from.

"What?!" Chloe exclaimed, surprised.

"Don't act so surprised, Chloe. You expected me to stay in France when I know I kidnapped the Princess? You should know me better than that," He said, slowly approaching the shajing model.

"Nathaniel, why are you doing this?" Chloe sobbed, tears streaming down her face. What did she even see in him?

"I will do anything, and I mean anything, to keep the love of my life. No one will take her away from me. No one," He said sternly.

Chloe's heart shattered then and there.
