Chapter Fourteen
Angry.
Adrien was angry.
"WHAT THE HELL IS THIS?!" Adrien shouted, making Nino and Alya jump out of the bed in shock.
"What's wrong?!" They both asked, rushing over to the Prince.
Alya glanced at the computer and her eyes widened.
On the computer were pictures. Not just any pictures though, no no no. There were pictures of Marinette's bruised and battered body and face.
Adrien kicked the chair into the wall and it broke. Nino held the raging Prince.
"Go get King Gabriel!" Nino said, trying to restrain Adrien who was very much stronger than him.
Alya nodded and rushed out of the room.
"How could they do that to her?!" Adrien barked, pushing Nino off him.
"What did they do?" Nino asked as Adrien paced, gripping his hair.
"Just look," Adrien growled, pointing at the computer.
To say Adrien was angry was an understatement. He was pissed.
Nino walked over to the computer cautiously, shooting a worried look at his best friend. His eyes lowered to the computer and he let out a gasp.
What he saw was simply horrifying.
In the email, there were three images attached along with a small message:
Beautiful, isn't she Adrien? Well, she's mine now and this is probably the last time you'll get a good look at her face, so look long and hard. I'm sorry she looks a little beaten up, she just got me a bit angry and made me hit her (she even kicked me in the chest and face, but I made her also pay for that). She is very nice to hold and she has an amazing body. Keep this in mind, Adrien: Marinette is mine. Get rid of all your feelings and memories of her, because you will never ever see her again.
Below that were three pictures of Marinette.
The first one was her arms which were covered in black and blue bruises.
The second one were her legs which had cuts and blood stains all the way up to her thighs.
The last one was her face. On her left cheek, there was a large bruise. Tears were running down her face and her blue eyes lacked life.
Nino looked away from the computer and glanced over at Adrien who was losing it.
Suddenly Alya and Gabriel burst into the room.Gabriel had a panicked look on his face and tears were running down Alya's dark cheeks.
"Adrien," Gabriel started, walking over to his son. "What's the matter?"
Adrien raged.
"What's the matter?" He repeated the question. "The matter is Marinette! That bastard is hurting her! And he had the guts to send me that message! I'm going to kill him! I swear I'm going to kill him. He's going to wish he never laid a finger on her!"
"Adrien! You're not killing anyone! What is wrong with you?" Gabriel gripped Adrien's arm only for it to be yanked away.
"The email!" He exclaimed, pointing at the computer.
Gabriel narrowed his eyes at his son, but looked at the computer nevertheless.
"Jesus Christ," The words just fell from Gabriel's lips as he looked at the screen.
'Who on earth could have done this? ' Gabriel thought.
"He's breaking her. He's hurting her so bad. I just had the feeling, turns out I was right," Adrien said, gripping and tugging on his hair. "Why is he doing this?"
Gabriel walked over to his son and pulled him into his arms.
"We'll find her, Adrien," He assured.
"I'm going to kill him," Adrien muttered into his father's neck as he finally let his tears fall.

Pain was all she felt.
All over her petite body were bruises and cuts.
Bruises and cuts that Nathaniel gave her.
After he had beaten her terribly, he took pictures of her with a sick grin on his face. He then had the nerve to say sorry after what he had done.
Her mind then went back to what he said before hitting her in the face...
'let's send Adrien a nice little gift,'
Nathaniel's voice invaded her thoughts.
Sadness washed over her.
'He's going to send it to Adrien?' She thought.
Tears pooled her eyes.
She didn't want Adrien to see her in that state. She was sure she looked absolutely disgusting.
Sobs bubbled in her throat and she tried to choke them back.
She failed.
Warm tears ran down her cheeks rapidly and sobs racked her body harshly. She was physically, mentally and emotionally exhausted. She wanted to be back home with her parents, her friend and... Adrien.
Marinette curled herself up into a ball and felt pain rip through her. She let out a loud cry and tried to stay still.
The door creaked open and Juleka stepped. Her hands flew to her mouth when her eyes landed on the battered princess who laid on the bed in her own blood.
"Princess!" Juleka exclaimed, running over to her.
She placed her hand on crying princess' arm only for her to let out a cry of pain and move away.
"What did he do to you?" Juleka's eyes ran over the visible bruises on the girl's body and she frowned.
She exited the room and soon came back with a guard.
"Pick her up gently, Luka!" Juleka ordered loudly when her brother scooped up the princess in his arms.
They walked out of the room and to a very large bathroom down the hall.
Luka put Marinette to sit on the toilet before shooting her a sympathetic look and leaving.
Juleka set the bath to fill with warm water and helped Marinette remove her bloody clothes. When the bath was full, Juleka helped Marinette sit in it.
Marinette felt the warm water burn the cuts on her side, legs and abdomen.
"Can I have a moment alone?" Marinette croaked out, barely looking at Juleka who nodded and left the bathroom.
Marinette let her tears fall once more. Her salty tears stung the cut on her bruised cheek.
"I want to die," Marinette muttered, her tears blurring her vision.

Marinette was back in the room again.
The sheets were changed and the shackles returned to her wrists and ankles.
Juleka was cleaning and nursing her cuts and bruises.
She was silent. She hadn't asked about what happened again and Marinette was grateful.
"Are you hungry?" Juleka asked, packing up the first aid kit.
As if on cue, Marinette's stomach growled.
"I'll take that as a yes," Juleka chuckled dryly, standing up. "I'll be right back with some food."
She left the room, the door closing silently behind her.
Marinette let of a sigh and dropped her gaze to her lap.
The ring on her finger caught her attention. It was her wedding ring. She wondered if Nathaniel realized that she still had it on.
If her did, he'd probably rip it off along with her finger.
Marinette shivered at the thought.
The door then creaked open and in stepped Nathaniel, two heavily built guards trailing behind him.
The guards threw a girl on the floor and left.
Marinette recognized the girl immediately.
"Chloe?"
Chloe looked up and her eyes widened when she saw the princess' bruised face.
"Oh my God, Marinette! What happened to your face?!" She exclaimed earning a kick in the side from Nathaniel.
"Don't interrogate her," He hissed. Chloe winced and lowered her head. "Now, Chloe, I'm going to leave you with her, just to keep her company. Don't try anything."
Nathaniel shot Chloe a glare before walking out of the room, slamming the door behind him.
The room was silent for a moment before Marinette spoke up.
"What are you doing here?" She asked.
"They kidnapped me," Chloe muttered.
"They?" Marinette tilted her head to the side.
"Nathaniel and Lila."
Marinette frowned.
"Lila?" Marinette asked. "What does she want with me?"
"She wants Adrien and to get to Adrien, she needs you out of the picture," Chloe explained.
Marinette felt.... jealous?
She shook that feeling away.
She didn't like Adrien that way to why would she feel jealous?
"But don't you like Adrien?" Marinette asked.
"I- No. I don't like Adrien that way. Why'd you ask?" Chloe sat up, pulling her legs to her chest.
"When we first met, you were basically all over him and you called me a tramp," Marinette replied.
"Yeah, I'm sorry about that. I'm actually not interested in Adrien. I like someone else, b-but they don't return my feelings so I wanted to use Adrien as a distraction. That didn't work out," Chloe chuckled humorlessly.
"Would you mind if I ask who that person is?" Marinette asked slowly.
Chloe hesitated but spoke up anyway.
"Nathaniel."
She spoke so low, Marinette could barely hear, but she did.
"Oh my God," Marinette raised her hands to her mouth as she stared at Chloe wide eyed.
The door swung open and Juleka walked in with a tray, two bowls on top.
"Prince Nathaniel asked me to bring something up for you," She said to Chloe, placing down the tray.
As Marinette and Chloe ate, the room was only filled with Juleka's chatter.

"Where is Adrien?" Gabriel asked Alya and Nino as they descended the stairs.
"He's upstairs," Nino answered. "He doesn't want anyone to bother him right now. He wants time to himself."
Gabriel let out a sigh and walked to his study.
In the room, Adrien sat in front of his computer yet again.
He took a deep breath to calm himself before he replied to the email:
Enjoy life while it lasts. When I find you, you'll be begging at my feet for mercy. You're going to wish you never stepped foot into my castle and near my wife. Prepare yourself for the worst. I know who you are, don't think for a second that I don't. You're a dead man walking.
