Chapter 1
The sweet smell from the oven marked the completion of a perfect doughnut. With a radiant smile, she took the doughnut out of the oven, and with the cream in her hand, she carved the drawings on it.
The beeping of the oven called for their attention, "Lisa," She called out to one of the staff, "On it," She replied as she hurried to the oven.
"Ai, Ai, Ai!" A little girl of around six years old in her light blue frock, dangling her long ponytail, she ran across the room.
"Yum," She ran and hugged the baker from behind, 24 years old turned around and smiled down at the kid, "Yes, my princess," She picked the girl in her arm and placed her on the counter, the young girl turned her head to the side, her eyes sparkled at the delightful sight of her favorite donut.
"Yum, yum," She licked her lips then turned her head at the baker, "Can I have it?" She looked at her with hopeful eyes, "Of course," the baker smiled at her younger sister. "Yay!" She clapped her hands in joy, "but I'll still get the cake right?" She looked at her sister to confirm.
"Birthday girl will have an enormous birthday cake," Her sister smiled at her.
"I love you, Ai," The young one hugged her sister.
"I love you too and happy birthday," Ai hugged her back placing a soft kiss on her head.
"Happy birthday, Alice," The entire staff shouted together.
"Thank you, everyone," The little girl giggled in response.
*Ring* *Ring*
The buzzing of the phone gained Ai's attention, "Just a minute," Ai smiled at her sister and fished the phone out of her pocket, her eyes narrowed at the number flashing on her screen, it was from the hospital, "Yes?" She answered. "Again?... Alright, I'll be there... sorry for the inconvenience." She apologized as she hung up the call.
"Mom?" the younger one raised her brows, "Is she not taking her medicines again?" She asked.
"Hmm," Ai nodded. The girl clicked her tongue as she shook her head.
Ai turned her head to look at her staffs before she could say anything, Lisa replied, "We'll manage it here, boss," She gave a small salute. "We've got you covered up," the guy beside her winked at Ai.
"What would I do without you guys?" Ai looked at them with a grateful smile, "Thank you, guys."
She then turned her gaze to her sister, "Shall we go then?"
"Hmm," Alice nodded in response.

They opened the door to the private cabin where their mother was admitted. The nurse was trying to convince her to take her medicine while the lady was stubbornly denying like a little kid.
"Mom!" Ai gave her a scolding look.
"Oh, here comes my stubborn child," her mom narrowed her eyes at her.
"You're the one behaving like a kid," Ai retorted.
"I'm here too," Raising her hand, Alice made her presence known.
"Aww, my lil princess, come to mommy," Their mother opened her arms for the little one, the girl jumped into her arms giving her a tight hug, "Happy birthday, my love," Her mom returned the hug, tightening her arms around her.
"Thank you, mommy," Alice giggled as she snuggled.
"But mommy, why are you behaving like a kid again and refusing your medicine?" the little girl broke the hug and gave her mom a firm look.
"Mommy did no such thing," The lady shook her head in denial.
"I'm a big girl now, you can't deceive me," She scolded her.
"Omo, my Alice is a big girl now?"
"Yes, I'm six years old now," The girl waved her hand in front of her, raising the number of fingers as her age.
"Oh my, you're already a big girl, then?"
"yes,"
"See, now mom, stop behaving like a kid and have your medicine, hmm?" Ai took the medicine in her hand and offered it up to her mom.
"Only if you promise to get married before the year end," Mom narrowed her eyes.
"Are we bringing this topic again?" Ai, let out a frustrated sigh, "Mom, for the last time-"
"My daughter doesn't care about me at all," Her mom heaved a deep sigh.
"Mom!" Ai glared at her.
"Stop you both," The little one intervened, "Mom, don't blackmail my sister into anything," She gave her a look of disapproval.
"Are you taking your sister's side?" Her mom narrowed her eyes at her.
"It's my birthday," She looked at her with puppy dog eyes.
"Oh my, where did you learn to blackmail hmm?" The mother blinked at her younger one.
"From you of course," Ai gave a high five to her sister.
"You guys both ganging up on me? Not fair!" Mother pouted sulkily, "Besides, they taste bad," she made a face.
"It's okay, mommy, here, I'll cast a spell for you," Alice took the medicine from her sister's hand and made some gestures as she whispered something, she then pinched her mother's nose and popped the medicine into her mouth, Ai passed the water bottle to her mother, drinking the water, the little girl pulled her head from behind, "There, done!"
The nurses giggled as they watched two sisters feeding the medicine to their mother.

"Are we doing this again, gramps?" Aaron scolded his stubborn grandfather, who had been sulking on his hospital bed. "you can't stay here, we need to go back," He argued.
"I want to spend my last days here, I'm not going anywhere." The grandfather replied stubbornly.
"Oh for god's sake gramps, you're going to live 50yrs more, so stop saying this alright?" He scolded his grandfather.
"50 more years?" His grandfather clicked his tongue, "No thank you," He shook his head.
"Alright, but your definitely not going anytime soon, I won't let you, hmm? We can get you treated at the best hospitals in Italy. Why does it have to be here?" Aaron tried to convince his grandfather.
"What's there to live for? You won't do as I say anyway, at least let this old man die in peace, let me choose where I want to die." He crossed his arms, turning his head away.
"Are we going there again?" Aaron let out an exasperated sigh, "I told you-"
"Even Rihito's gotten married!" His grandfather glared at him.
"So?" Aaron shrugged his shoulders.
"So? That old man Mark won't keep quiet about it, he's so over the top now that he is going to be a great-grandfather and here's my grandson who wouldn't pay heed to his grandfather's wishes," he pouted sulkily.
"uh, huh?" His brows quirked up, "You know what gramps nothing you say is going to change my mind, you can't get me married so forget it," He scoffed. "And we're going back, we need to go back." He tried to convince him.
"You can go, I'm not going anywhere," His grandfather was adamant.
"Fine then, suit yourself," Aaron let out a defeated sigh just as he turned around to go his grandfather sniffed wiping his crocodile tears, "Nobody cares about me, let this old man die here alone."
"Stop your emotional blackmail, you can't do this to me, gramps," Aaron complained.
"Then just do as I say and get married already."
"Not this topic again, you know what? We're done here," He angrily walked out of the room.
After his grandson walked out on him, he sighed in defeat, just then his phone buzzed, he took his phone and sighed as he looked at the name flashing on his screen, "This old man!" He rolled his eyes as he picked up the call.
"Your grandson's not giving in at all?" he heard Mark Carlen from the other side, "He's as stubborn as the bull, nothing works on him." Alessandro Falcoreini heaved a deep sigh.
"He doesn't have any girl in his life?"
"Not that I know of," He shrugged.
"then get a girl in his life," His old friend suggested.
"I can get the girl but I can't get him to get married, that's the problem," He retorted.
"Tsk, tsk," He heard him click his tongue, "My poor friend, fine, I'll help you get your grandson married," He heard the amusement in his voice.
"You think you can?" He expressed his doubts.
"Oh, I've got my grandson married, yours will be a piece of cake," The ex mafia kind declared confidently. "But finding a girl, I'll leave it up to you," saying this the Satan hung up.
