I whizzed through the thick trees in my 3DM gear. I followed my Captain and my comrades were all around me. There were Titans almost everywhere. I hated those things but that wasn't why I joined the survey squad. I joined because me Father was the Commander of them before he was killed in action. Erwin smith then took over. He died when I was 9, I respected him greatly but I can't say that I really knew the man. I didn't, he was always working, out on missions and things. When he did have free time he taught me how to fight, much to my Mothers disapproval. I was always psychically weak and small due to a traumatic birth. She hated the idea of me joining the survey corps but I was going did it anyway. I was well aware off the dangers involved with the job. My Father never left out the gory details but I personally couldn't think of a better way to go out. Fighting for humanity. A few years later when I was 11, my Mother died of illness. I did all I could to make her better but I was a born and breed soldier not a doctor. There was nothing they could for her either, so I simple had to watch as my poor Mother got worse and worse. The day before she died she told me that if I really wanted to join the survey squad then I should, but not to throw my life away. I had no intention of doing that though. For the next year I trained like a beast. I practised everything Dad taught me, perfected it and even learnt some new stuff. Then finally I got to start the real training to become a soldier. Despite everything I was the top of my class. I excelled in everything but even with all that I still joined the survey corps. I really didn't see the point of being the best in my class of I was just going to sit behind a wall the rest of my life and never see any action.

"Captain there are two closing in on the right." Shouted Petra. I had been fighting with the five of them since I got out of training. Captain Levi had hand picked us all because we were the best of the best. We were the special operation squad. Sent out on very dangerous missions and although there was only 6 of us we had a totally kill of over 300. Most of that came for the Captain and myself but the others we excellent fighters too.

"Drew, get rid of them." Captain Levi ordered me.

"Yes Sir." I answered and changed my direction. The two Titans were moving around sluggishly through the trees. As I came closer to them I drew my swords. Just take them out and get back to the group, I told myself, nothing fancy I can't lose them. I used my grapple hook and dug it in the tree just behind the first Titan. I then used the gas mechanism to push myself towards the Titan. It was the perfect angle, it's neck was completely exposed. I cut the massive chuck of it's skin from it's neck. It feel to the fall but unfortunately the second Titan had now seen me. Stood on a tree trunk I watched as it bought it's hand up to grab me. I smiled smugly. These things are too stupid. When I saw my chance I jumped onto his hand and ran up his arm. When I got to his shoulder he turned his head to take a snap at me. I side kicked his cheek. Titans were always very light despite their size. Blood spilled from it's cheek and as his head spun around it's one weak spot was open to me. I cut it down and jumped of it as it fell to the ground. I got myself onto a tree trunk and carried on going through the trees. I was going really fast but if I didn't I would lose them and I wouldn't be able to fine them in this forest. Eventually I saw them swinging through the trees. I caught up with ease and slotted back into formation just behind Captain Levi.

"The threats have been neutralised Sir." I informed him. He gave me a silent nod without saying a word but really I didn't expect him too. Captain never says much.

"What's the plan, Sir?" Asked Oluo. He was a good man but the first time I met him I just thought he was a sleazy old man. He is about the same age as the rest of us but he looks much older. His wrinkles are very profound and personally I hated the way he copied Captain Levi. He had the same style hair cut and even fashioned himself a cravat to match him. He always tried to play Captain when he wasn't around as well. It was annoying and Petra shared the same view as me.

"We left the horses somewhere up ahead." Said the Captain calmly. "As soon as we get there we ride them out of this damn forest. The beasts wont follow us out of here." Then the horses came into view. Without even speaking about it all of us lowered ourselves. I spotted my horse and landed smoothly not her back. I patted her neck to let her know that it was me.

"You alright Bonnie?" I asked her and she neighed in response. Captain Levi started moving in the direction of the exist to the forest and we all followed him closely behind. We were riding fast when Petra called out...

"Captain! Behind us." I looked and saw a Titan coming towards very fast. That was just an old Titan...it was an abnormal.

"It's an abnormal Sir, do we engage?" I asked him.

"Not unless we have too." He replied simply. Then we heard a small scream from behind. The abnormal had grabbed Gunther off his horse. I scowled, that stupid Titan. The Captain said unless we have too but this for me, means we have to. Gunther wiggled in the Titan's grasp. I stood up on the back of Bonnie and used my grapple hook to pull myself toward the Titans hand. I drew my blades, did a spin in the air and cut it clean off. The Titan seemed indifferent to the fact I had just cut it's hand off. Hot stream surrounded it's bloody wrist. The hand would grow back soon. Before I could fall to the ground I stuck the grapple hook into it's stomach. I used the momentum to swing under the Titan's arm and up towards it's neck. Then I attacked it's weak spot. As the Titan began to fall I spotted Bonnie running along side it. I smiled and jumped down onto her back.

"Your not scared of anything are you?" I patted her. Gunther was back on his horse but he looked a little pale.

"Thanks Drew!"

"No problem." I told him. It was sort of my role in the squad, mostly because I was maybe a little too protective. I was always the one to save them if they got into trouble. Constantly putting my life on the line to save theirs. I didn't mind though, I enjoyed doing it. One thing was for sure and that was that I wasn't going to let any of my comrades become Titan food if I could help it...
