Chapter twenty nine.

Natasha's POV.

Its been two weeks since Natalie lied on the hospital bed, two weeks that she's unaware of what is happening around her. Two weeks since Massimo looks like a hobo on something. Two weeks since I started working again with Lorenzo, surprisingly I was able to take back my position as PA.

But a lot of things happens in two weeks, in between all of this I haven't heard from my mom or Tantin.

I stir my roasted cauliflower salad with lemon tahini dressing, my mind all over the place.

"Girl, I feel sorry for that salad I wonder what it ever did to you." Ashlyn said sitting down next to me.

"To speak like that while knowing what's going on in her life, seems a bit cruel." Ethan stated taking the seat opposite to me.

I look at them with tired eyes. Soon my phone rings. Looking down I see Massimo's name on the screen.

"Hello?" I speak.

"SHE'S AWAKE!!" Massimo shouts in the receiver before ending the call.

I jump out of my seat. This is the greatest news I've had since.

"She's awake. Natalie is awake!!" I announce to nearly the whole cafeteria "I have to go to tell Lorenzo."

"I heard."

I turn to find him standing at the door just as happy.

"Come on we have to go to the hospital." I say grabbing his hand and dragging him out of there."

We get to the hospital soon and let mw add quiet quickly.

"Come on. Hurry up!" I say walking kind of running towards the entrance.

I don't even wait for the receptionist to ask, I just run past her to Natalie's ward. I stop at the entrance when I see her share a moment with Massimo, just to push him away when I walk in.

"Oh thanks heavens you are here. I missed you." Natalie says opening her hands and inviting me for a hug.

Its last long until Lorenzo starts complaining, which results in him getting hit on the head before he was pulled into a hug.

"I can't believe what happened yesterday. I mean why did that guy do that? Did you get him?" Natalie asked.

"Um... well you've been out for two weeks straight and the other driver was wrecked soon after you crashed." I explained.

Then Natalie's eyes went as big as a saucer.

"TWO WEEKS!! I missed my wedding." She said then turned to Massimo. "Babe I'm so sorry, I mean those were the only opening this whole month, we will have to do it sometimes next month and all the guest..."

Massimo silent her with a kiss.

"I'll wait for you even if it's a lifetime." He said looking into her eyes.

"So cheesy, I missed this. But let's get married soon ok?" She asked.

"How about when you are dismissed?" Lorenzo finally spoke up.

"Oh, I thought you were dead there." Natalie smiled. "But I mean why not? Where's the doctor?"

Soon the doctor checked on Natalie, the past two weeks had allowed her wounds to recover and her tissues to repair, since no damaged had been made to her skull the doctor confirmed that she could be dismissed by Thursday.

Massimo stayed with her still Thursday, while Lorenzo and I helped to re-organise the wedding and reschedule the dates. Happily, most of the guest had heard what had happened and hadn't gone away so every single guest had accepted and confirmed.

The wedding preparation went smoothly, I unfortunately didn't get to see much of Lorenzo since his team and mine were working different places, but in just two days we will be together again. I kept telling myself.

Lorenzo's POV.

My mind was buzzing, who knew wedding preparations were so exhausting? I drag the last boxes into the car.

Today we would be setting up and happily the weather this week was just right. Massimo was literally glowing. My body felt tired but I longed for Natasha. There is so much I wanted to tell her about the discoveries I made in accordance with the accident but I knew her, and I will have to wait for after the big day.

Natasha's POV.

The room was buzzing as I tried to calm everyone down, and tell them where the food and drinks were to go. I had to keep talking on the phone to the receptionist to make sure the reception was well planned.

It was a wedding in the late afternoon. The area faced the breath taking sunset.  At the end of each seated aisle, jasmine scented candles hung from naked tree branches. Spread down the aisle was white leaves, as far as the eyes could see, slightly moist so they wouldn't crack when you stepped on them.  We'd have a small group of close family and friends dressed in beach attire for comfort. On either side of the aisle, they sat in white chairs set up for them on the sand.

I knew soon the guest would be arriving and some had already. I checked ones more that everything was perfect before moving to the master bed where Natalie and the bridegrooms where getting dress.

"Knock knock, look at our soon to be Rinaldi." I said walking towards her to zip up her dress. I looked at her face and saw the worry in them.

"What if I mess this up? What if I trip and fall? Or a jumbo jet crashes on us? What is Mass..." She continued.

"Okay, okay Natalie, you need to breath... Can you do that for me??" I asked.

"Only ten minutes remaining before my wedding began and I am a nervous mess just like the first time I went on a date with him." She smiles remembering the memory "I can breathe,"

"Good I'm going to get changed and will be out in just a second."

Soon I was ready and Natasha looked frantic again.

"I can find my mascara." She said "How am I suppose to get married without it?!"

"Breathe, and think about this: Everyone's here and has a program. It's about to start. I see Massimo waiting at the end of the aisle and he's just as nervous as you. DO you really want to not marry the love of your life over a mascara?"

She shook her head

"Good, because if you don't marry him, I know plenty of women who would. Now come one lets go."

"It your turn! All eyes would soon be on you." I whisper.

Lorenzo's POV

I waited bedsides Massimo as he keeps checking the time.

"What if she runs away man, I mean she wouldn't do that , buts its a possible right?"

"Calm down. She won't do that because there she comes."

The flower girls Loren and Annie  lined the path with white rose petals as the music started Natasha soon led the bride maids out. Natalie only took two steps out before she was greeted by her father. He escorted her down the aisle, which seemed longer than before. He became my strength; without him I would faint. The guests looked at her, taking pictures of her dress, waving at her, smiling- one thing was for sure, though... no one made a sound.

(In Natalie's head: I looked at him, Massimo. My future husband, the love of my life, my everything. He stood taller, his shoulders back and his eyes on me. If I wasn't mistaken I could have seen tears filled his eyes.)

(Back to Lorenzo)

I looked at Natalie and the sun did wonders to her skin. Looking to her maid of honor, I sucked in some air.

Natasha looked like a vision, her loose strands teased her perfect face, and the dress brought out the deepness of her eyes, which were trained on me. My skin buzzed and all I could do was smile knowing one day it would be her turn.

The wedding went by in a flash for me because all I could see was Natasha, and I think she could feel it because her face went red.

But little did I know that if I had the chance I should have told her what I felt before the night ended...
