Chapter nine.
"The harder you work for something the greater you will feel when you achieve it."
-Unknown.
Natasha's POV
I woke up when I heard the birds chirping in a nearby tree. I turned and saw Lorenzo sleeping. His hair is a tangled mess.
I wish I could untangle it with my fingers.
Oi his your boss!
I get out of bed and push that thought off my head. I could get ready before Lorenzo woke up.
I walk into the bathroom with my change of clothes. Locking the doors I took my shower, brushed my teeth, and basically looked after my hygiene. Then changed into my choice of clothing for the day.
Unlocking the door I see Lorenzo sitting on his bed running fingers through his hair.
"Good morning," I say walking to fill my bag with the essentials.
"Morning," he said in his morning voice. My heart pumped faster.
"So what's this meeting with your mum?" I ask sitting opposite him.
"Um, just a few things we need to organize before the dance on Friday," he said.
"Ok. Well, I have to go. I'll see you in the afternoon." I say ready to leave the door.
"That's it? Not even "all the best?" He asked. "You are unbelievable."
"Well, you decided to give me such little information about what else did you expect?" I said putting my shoes on.
"You can't go out with him," he announced.
"Why not?" I asked curiously.
"Because..." He starts.
"Because?" I say walking towards him and straddling his back.
"What are you doing?" he said.
"Just relax," I say then message his tense broad shoulders.
He moans a little (in an enjoyable and relaxing way.)
"How are you so good? I haven't had this in, what decades," he says starting to relax.
"My dad taught me how to hit the right spot," I said. "So why shouldn't I go with him?" I asked.
"Because I don't trust him," he said.
"Do you remember who I am ?" I asked.
"Yes. My PA." he says softly.
"No, a karate master and your amazing pretend girlfriend," I say.
Then there's a knock at the door.
"That's for me. Don't forget to eat all the dessert your mum sent in." I say opening the door to see a polished Massimo.
"Wow, you look good," I say.
"Thank you, you don't look too bad yourself," he replies.
Turning to Lorenzo I say,
"Honey take him out someday and make him look great because good isn't really my type."
Then I wink and Lorenzo's mouth spreads into a wide grin.
"That can be arranged," he says.
Turning back to a shocked Massimo I smile an innocent smile.
"Ready to go?" I ask.
"Yeah sure I'll meet you out in a bit," he says.
I walk out and wait for Massimo. But leaning against the door. I hear the voices.
"This isn't over you know. " He says.
"Bye big brother. Enjoy your trip." Leo says.
I shake my head.
"Two Egoheads," I said moving a bit away from the door.
Soon Massimo and I are walking to the car.
"I thought we would take the double-decker bus." I pout.
"Nope today it's a private tour," he says leading me into the car.
"To Buckingham Palace and the Changing of the Guard," he says to the driver.
"It's little wonder London is one of the world's top tourist destinations, attracting upward of 15 million visitors each year," I say. I had read that somewhere.
"Yes and Britain's capital city is a vibrant art and entertainment center, its theaters are always busy, and 50 years after the Beatles, the country's music scene still rocks," he added. "There it is, the Buckingham Palace and there are the guards."
"Let's take a picture," I say climbing out of the car.
After the picture, we went around the premises with an appointed and legal tour guide.
"One of Britain's most iconic buildings, Buckingham Palace is also the scene of London's most popular display of pomp and circumstance, the Changing of the Guard. Drawing crowds at 11:30 am in every season, this colorful and free display of precision marching and music also takes place at St. James's Palace where you can follow the band along The Mall as they march between sites." the tour guide began.
"Nope we won't have time for that," Massimo said before I could open my mouth.
"Buckingham Palace was built in 1837 and has been the London residence of the Royal Family since Queen Victoria's accession. If you're wondering whether the Queen is in, look at the flagpole atop the building: if the royal standard is flying day and night, she's at home. On special state occasions, she and members of the Royal Family may even emerge on the central balcony. Sadly there aren't in right now. But when she's away at her summer palace in Scotland, visitors can purchase tickets for tours of the State Rooms, the Queen's Gallery, and the Royal Mews."
The Tour ended but Massimo told me that we still have other places to visit.
"Ok off to the Tower of London and Tower Bridge." He said to our driver who I realized was our tour guide.
"From prison to palace, treasure vault to the private zoo, the magnificent Tower of London has fulfilled many different roles down the centuries." He told us as we rode. "Inside the massive White Tower, built-in 1078 by William the Conqueror, is the 17th-century Line of Kings with its remarkable displays of royal armaments and armor. Other highlights include the famous Crown Jewels exhibition, the Beefeaters, the Royal Mint, and gruesome exhibits about the executions that took place on the grounds. There it is on your right."
I turned to my right and there was a famous building.
My phone will be full at the end of the day.
"Next stop Piccadilly Circus and Trafalgar Square," Massimo said. "Are enjoying yourself?"
"Enjoying myself? This is a dream come true." I said nearing sitting in his lap as I throw my arms around him. "Thank you for taking me."
"I'll go to the moon and back just for you." He said hugging me back.
Soon we broke away from our embrace and looked at the tour ahead of us.
The driver gives us a genuine smile.
"Trafalgar Square was built to commemorate Lord Horatio Nelson's victory over the French and Spanish at Trafalgar in 1805. Piccadilly Circus marks the irregular intersection of several busy streets - Piccadilly, Regent, Haymarket, and Shaftesbury Avenue - and overlooking this somewhat untidy snarl of traffic stands London's best-known sculpture, the winged Eros delicately balanced on one foot, bow poised. "It's like Piccadilly Circus" is a common expression describing a busy and confusing scene. And there it is on your left."
"OMG. This is the place my dad use to talk to me about." I say, forgetting that Massimo was there.
"Well, he must be a very smart man. Because this place is beautiful. So much life but the best is for last." He said "Two more stops."
"That there is the National Gallery. London's National Gallery represents an almost complete survey of European paintings from 1260 until 1920. The museum's greatest strengths are in its collections of Dutch Masters and Italian Schools of the 15th and 16th centuries. Among its highlights are a cartoon (preliminary sketch) of the Madonna and Child by Leonardo da Vinci, Michelangelo's The Entombment, Botticelli's Venus and Mars, van Gogh's Sunflowers, and The Water-Lily Pond by Monet." our tour guide explains.
"I have no idea of half of those people but the building looks spectacular." I smile.
"Now the last spot. One of my favorites. I need you to close your eyes. I'll tell you when to open it. " Massimo says.
"How can I trust you?" I ask.
"You can't." He winked.
"You aren't helping your case," I said standing my ground.
"Please?" He begs.
"Just remember that if you take me down, I am going with you." I warned, then I shut my eyes. I hear him whispering something to the driver and the cargoes. Some turn and stops. Then we come to a halt.
He takes my hand and leads me out of the car.
"Ok open your eyes." He says.
When I do I see the most beautiful view.
