Natasha's POV.

I told my aunt everything as soon as I got home. Luckily she wasn't working today, took a few days off to help me back on my feet.

"I'm so happy." She said grinning from ear to ear. "You don't know how long I've dreamt about this day."

"Tantin you are talking like you are my grandmother," I said burying my head in my hands.

"And soon you will be calling her mum..." she said

My head shot up.

"Any woman can be your birth mother but it takes a special woman to be your mum," I said.

"I know. I'm sorry I'm just sooo excited." She said.

I let her speak on and on slowly my min fades back to Lorenzo.

How his face looked paler and his hair looked untamed. Even his eyes from afar didn't have that glow they used to have. Maybe he felt as heartbroken as I did.

But he brought it upon himself.

Gosh, I thought it would have been easier to forget about him but it's so much harder.

"Honey, you won't even listening were you?" Tantin voice tunes back in.

"Sorry," I said tucking a strand of hair behind my back.

Gosh, why don't I have any friends which I can talk to? I mean yes I love my aunt but I should have made girly friends who I can go shopping with, eat sweets till we puke and just forget about all of this.

"Ok that's it. It's time for you to get out of the house." Tantin said annoyed.

"But I have no one to go with." I wined.

"Natalie said she was in town and will be meeting you in ten minutes." She said looking at her phone.

"How come she didn't text me?" I winded. 

"Maybe because you killed your phone." She murmured. 

While getting changed I had two things in mind, make new friends near my place and thanks to Natalie for being a lifesaver.

I throw on an outfit with my boots. 

I grab my phone and ran downstairs.

"Where should I meet her?" I asked.

"The Starbucks around the corner from the station." She replied.

I give her a big hug and run to the station. Taking the tube I made sure to stop at the right stop and rounded the corner.

As soon as Natalie saw me, she engulfed me in a big hug blowing out all the oxygen in my lungs.

"I've missed you sooooo much." She said.

"Ca.nt brea.th." I said.

"Ohhh so so sorry." She apologized after letting me catch my breath.

"I've missed you too." I said bring her back in a comfortable hug. "So how are you and Massimo?"

"Well that's what I came to talk to you about, we got engaged!" she exclaimed.

"OMG!!! I'm so happy for you." I say then take her lefthand to look at the ring.

"It's an actual diamond, so heavy I need a crane to lift up my finger." she joked.

I looked at her with genuine happiness. I was happy Massimo had asked because they were a very good couple.

"Oh the reason I came here was that we are getting married in three months and you are my maid of honor," she said.

I was shocked. I couldn't believe this. Me? Maids of honor?

"You are not fooling with me right?" I asked.

"No dummy. So you will spend most of your time with me, we have decided to have it up here because we want to get married at the beach," she said.

"That is so beautiful," I said.

"Great. I'll call Massimo and ask what Lorenzo said. You won't mind giving us the second dance would you?" she asked.

Lorenzo and I? Dancing together?

"I will be honored," I said.

You are too kind for your own good.

"Thank you so so much." she said hugging me. "so how are things with Lorenzo and yourself?"

"I don't know. I haven't seen him for quite some time. He fired me a few days ago with no reason and since then I haven't heard anything from him." I said.

"Oh no, I'm so so sorry. You don't have to dance with him." She added quickly

"No no, it's ok. It's three months from now. Whether we patch it up or not we will be friends by that time." I said.

"Oh honey. Ok let me not make things worse, let's go to the movies then we can go to my place and forget about everything," she said.

"I love the idea," I said.

So we went to the movie and watched Midnight Sun.

After that, we want to her hotel room.
I wiped my face with the tissue showing how sensitive I was while Natalie laughed at me and I soon joined. We were still laughing while unlocking the door but when the door swung open my laughter soon died along with my happiness.

Lorenzo Rinaldi was standing right in front of me.

"Lorenzo, what are you doing here?" Natalie asked him then looked at me.

"Massimo asked me to check up on you till he arrived." he said the looked at me and whispered a small "hi"

My hi, wasn't louder than a faint whisper and I was very tempted to look down on the floor.

Look up at him. Don't show him you care.

"How are you," I said clearing my throat and straightening up. I am SO glad by the way I dressed.

See what you are missing Lorenzo?

I smile waiting for his answer.

"Good thank you. Did you receive the money I sent?" he asked.

"Money? What money?" I asked playing dumb.

"The $15000?" he asked scratching the back of his head.

" Why would you send me $15000?" I asked curiously.

"So you can have something to keep you going until you find a new job," he said fiddling with his fingers.

I wanted to laugh at his behavior but I had to keep up the game.

"So you sent $15000 to me not sure if I got it because you think I'm a charity?"

"No Natasha don't be like this," he said looking at me with pleading eyes.

"Be like what? You are the one that fired me for no reason." I said. Then I took a deep breath. "I received the money which I would have given back if you didn't forbid me to."

I'm pretty sure I saw a smile on his face.

"I'll let Massimo know you are good and with good company," he said to Natalie who was already sprawled on the couch with a bag of popcorn, I mean how and when did she get into that position?

"Sure. You do that," she said grinning.

That traitor.

He then turned to me, his eyes a little brighter than at first, nodded, and walked out.

Shutting the door I leaned against it and looked at Natalie.

"How can you do that?" I ask.

"What? It was entertaining," she said smiling.

"It wasn't a movie for you to sit there and watch," I said.

"But well done, you didn't make it one bit awkward," she said.

I smiled at my self-victory. Grabbing the other bowl of popcorn I sat next to her while she grinned from ear to ear.

"Stop doing that you are creeping me out," I said.

"Sure," she said then went to get a jar of cookies.

I sat there throughout the second movie and pizza grinning like an idiot.
