36. The Anniversary

Today was a different day in the Otto residence. It was nearly Mom and Dad's anniversary. I went down for breakfast and Oliver was in a bad mood. "Cheer up, not long until you leave for Harvard." I said to him, it was only a few years away and he smiled at me.

"Thanks for reminding me of that maybe I'll finally be where I belong." He whispered to me, glad I could've been of service.

"Hello? Oh, hi, Principal Ablin." Mom said as she answered her phone. We all looked nervous.

"Ooh! Which one of our four contestants will be grounded tonight?" Dad asked while looking at us, how'd Ablin find out that I skipped.

"I am so sorry to hear that. Of course. We can come in this morning." Mom said before hanging up, she sighed heavily. "What did you do...Anna-Kat?" Mom said and I was relieved.

"Yes!" Me, Taylor and Oliver got out.

"You're gonna get so grounded." Oliver said to her, at least it wasn't me.

"You can take my life, but you can never take my...freedom!" She shouted, god she needed so much more help then she already had.

"You let her watch 'Braveheart'?" Dad asked Mom disappointedly. She'd probably seen The Conjuring at this point.

"Just that snippet." Mom said while putting at Anna-Kat.

"'Every man dies. Not every man lives.'" Anna-Kat said in an awful Scottish accent.

"How'd you explain that one?" I asked Mom while tilting my head.

"And the rest of the movie." Mom said to Dad before we all got ready to head to school. I met up with Lilli and we went to class.

"Did you hear about Jas?" Javi asked me and I shook my head.

"No, what happened?" I asked him, he looked around.

"She got expelled." Khad's said me I wasn't surprised she wasn't doing to well here.

"I say we go to the mall and shop it all away." Brooke said to us all and I looked at her.

"I agree, spend the money we have." Lilli said before we went to class. Once school was over it was off to the mall we went. We headed straight for a boba store before going shopping that's when we saw a girl, she looked like she could be one of us.

"That's Esh isn't it, from that other dance academy. She's really good." Javi said to us but right as he was about to go over but Esh's girlfriend came over to her. We missed our chance. When it got to the next day we saw her in hallway yet again we went to talk to her but she was pulled away again.

"This girl was impossible to talk to." Lilli said to us, but that's what made this whole thing fun. Once I got home that night. Oliver looked so different. Mom took a call.

"Hello? Principal Ablin. No one goes anywhere. Okay. I'm sorry to hear that. Of course. We will deal with this immediately." Mom said before hanging up I picked up a taco shell. "Come on, Anna-Kat!" Mom said I sighed with relief again.

"Yes!" The rest of us said.

"I'm so glad it's not me." I said to them before eating my taco.

"Please- -Principal Ablin is a sad man who's jealous of my happiness." Anna-Kat said to us, what happiness would that be exactly.

"Wait for us upstairs." Mom said to her I started heading up to my room to go on a call with the others. We needed a way to talk to Esh.

"Hey, Oliver. If your date didn't work out. It's her lost." I said to him with a smile, he leaned on my doorframe.

"Thank you but it's my fault, I listened to Spencer and he did all this." He said to me and I looked at him and stood.

"Now that is your fault. Now we are making sure that you get a second chance with her." I said to him with a smile, but he didn't believe.

"She'll never want to see me again." He said to me, he then left. Dad came in and said an idea and to get everyone together.

"Everyone! We wait for the count! I'm glad to see that our sister studio is here as well!" I shouted to everyone. We were having a flash mob parade and Esh was here.

"It's pretty cool what your doing for your brother." She said to me with a smile and I looked at her.

"I mean, family is family." I said to him with a smile, we then saw our cue. It looked beautiful with all the lanterns. We then had a little flash mob. I then pulled out a sign that read to give Oliver another chance and she agreed the rest of us then just watched the lanterns. We had Tuscadero's for dinner. And it was free so we knew it would taste. I wasn't even paying attention just eating the pizza. We all laughed and had fun as a family. What an odd 2 days.
