Keith paced in the waiting room anxious. Lola was currently in a hospital room and giving birth to their child. Nine months certainly went by quickly for the couple, granted sometimes it was hectic. What with the cravings and mood swings, but they both got through it. Now all they could do was wait, Zygor and Syd were there, for support. But you could've put a circus and a marching band in the room and Keith still wouldn't have noticed it for all that he was paying attention to. He was worried for Lola, they checked her into the hospital only an hour ago, but to Keith it felt like a century. Not only that, but he was curious as to if he was having a son or daughter, Lola had wanted the gender to be a surprise till the day she gave birth. To which it annoyed Keith to no end, but now all he was hoping for was a healthy child and Lola to be alright. "Hey boss, don't worry, she'll be fine." Zygor said "Yeah Lola's a tough girl, especially since she's dating you." Syd commented, but those comments fell on deaf ears to him. A nurse came into the waiting room, "Mr. Howard? The delivery went smoothly and Lola's fine." "What about my kid?" "She gave birth to a healthy child, if you would follow me please." Keith left his friends in the room and followed the nurse, when he got the room, Lola was lying in bed looking tired but alright. "Hello Keith." "Where's the baby?" "Oh they're cleaning her up right now, but you'll be able to see her in a minute." "Wait her? I have a daughter?" Keith's face split into a huge grin, he was about to say something else when a small coo took his attention. A nurse handed the bundle of joy to Lola. Keith bent his face closer to get a good look at his daughter, she had his hair and had Lola's eyes. Lola looked up at him, "Do you want to hold her?" After the nurse showed Keith how he should have his arms positioned, his daughter was placed in his arms. He smiled at her, when he suddenly thought of something "What are we going to name her?" "Well I always liked the name Zoey." Lola said, while Keith thought Zoey Howard I like the sound of that. "Zoey it is, what do you think?" He asked his daughter who smiled, "I think she likes it."

A few days later, Lola and Zoey were clear to go home. Zygor and Syd were waiting at the house, waiting to welcome them home. After a small party, they went home, and it was time to put Zoey to bed. Later that night, Zoey started crying Keith groaned and looked at the alarm clock, 2:30 in the morning. He looked over at Lola about to wake her up, but decided against it. She was still experiencing some tiredness from the birth, and Keith knew that he had to help out too. He got out of bed and went across the hall to his daughter's room. She was crying in her crib, Keith picked her up and carefully held her against his chest. "Shh shhh it's ok Zoey, I'm here daddy's here." His daughter slowly stopped crying but still whimpered every now and then. "I guess you don't like to be alone do you baby girl?" He took one of his fingers and gently poked her nose, she grabbed his finger with her hand. "You're something darling, cute no doubt, thank god you look like your mother. Don't worry baby girl I will always love and protect you. And I know your two uncles will as well. I remember being so scared when you were coming, but now I know have nothing to worry about. Just promise me you won't give me early gray hair." He looked down to see Zoey yawn and cuddle closer to him. He kissed her forehead before putting her back in her crib. He went back to his room and pulled Lola close to him thankful for her and his new daughter, and his new life.
