Season 1 Ch 3.

Hikari was feeling a whirlwind of emotions. After all, who wouldn't after dealing with a typical day at Aldera Junior High, being attacked by a sludge villain, being rescued by All Might, running through a city looking for a friend that went after All Might, encountering the sludge villain again, rescuing a rude as hell classmate from said villain, she wasn't going to continue. But she would definitely say that her biggest emotion she had felt when her friend was finally told that he could be a hero had been happiness.

She was happy that Izuku's hope in his future had been reignited, and hopefully, his drive to get there. Hikari wanted to be a hero herself, but things would be better if Izuku was by her side. She looked up when All Might spoke his next words.

"I deem you worthy of my power. My quirk is yours to inherit" he said.

Wait, what?

Then the number one hero pointed a finger up to the sky.

"Listen well young man. This is your choice. Do you want to accept my awesome power or not?!" he cried before choking a bit on his own blood.

Judging from the look on Izuku's face, Hikari knew he was just as lost as she was. All Might wiped away the blood from his mouth before continuing.

"There are a couple things you should know about my abilities. Journalists always guess my quirk is super strength or some kind of invulnerability. When people ask in interviews, I always make a joke, dodge the question,. That's because the world needs to believe that their Symbol of Peace is just a natural born hero, like any of them. But I'm not. There's nothing natural about my ability" he said.

Hikari tilted her head as the hero raised his arms.

"I wasn't born with this power. Its a sacred torch that was passed on to me from someone else" All Might revealed.

"What?!" Hikari cried in surprise.

"Someone gave you this quirk? No way" Izuku said is a soft voice.

"Yes way. And you're next. I can give you my abilities" All Might stated.

The breeze that went by was strong enough to lift the guy's shirt up a bit, and Hikari had to bite her tongue to keep from reacting to the edges of the scar that was on the side of his torso.

Izuku, however, was on a different road.

"Wait, hold on, this is a lot to process! It's true there's a lot of debate as to what your quirk actually is, nobody's ever figured it out, It's one of the world's greatest mysteries. People are constantly talking about it online. But the idea of passing on a quirk or inheriting it just doesn't make any sense to me. Iv'e never heard of anything like that before. Powers are supposed to be unique to each individual. I mean since the first super powers no one's been able to just give it..."

After that, Izuku's words became incomprehensible, and Hikari looked back up at All Might, who was now looking at her. Probablt for some sort of explanation.

"This is a very common thing. It might seem creepy, but if you actually pay attention you might learn a thing or two about the things he's muttering about. Except for this" she explained.

All Might looked back at the boy

"Uh, sounds like you're overthinking this whole inheriting thing. Stop nerding out!" he said, yelling the last part.

That broke Izuku out of his muttering trance, and the boy looked up at All Might.

"You'll have to adjust your reality and accept this new truth! I can transfer my quirk to someone else. And that's just one facet of my secret abilities. The true name of my power, is One For All" All Might revealed.

"One. For. All" Izuku repeated at a slow pace.

"Yes. One person improves the power, then hands it off to another person. It continues to grow as it's passed along. It is this cultivated power that allows me to save those who are in need of a hero. The truth behind my strength" All Might explained.

"But why would you choose to give me a gift like that? What if I can't live up to it?" Izuku asked.

"I was on a long hunt for a worthy successor. And then I watched you and your friend jump into action as the rest of us stood idly by. You may just be a quirkless fanboy, but your drive to save that kid, you acted like a hero" All Might told him.

Hikari couldn't help but smile as she watched Izuku tear up again. She had lost count of how many times that had happened now.

"Dude, seriously, you gotta stop crying so much if you want my quirk! Come on kid" All Might said.

"Hey! He's a, very emotionally oriented person" Hikari defended as her friend furiously wiped his sleeve against his eyes.

Then, Izuku stood up.

"Okay, I'll do it. Yes!" he stated.

Both Hikari and All Might smiled.

"No reluctance. That's exactly how I figured you'd respond" the number one hero stated.

...

"Sakura! I'm home! Finally. And I brought an old friend of yours!" Hikari called out as she removed her shoes and placed them by the door.

She had barely set her satchel down before a little ball of energy plunged into her stomach, making her let out an "Oof!" sound.

"Sissy!" a shrill high pitched voice cried out.

"Hello to you too Sakura" Hikari managed to get out.

"No way, Little Saki?!" Izuku cried out as he stared in shock at the little girl that was clinging to Hikari's stomach.

"Zu-zu!" Sakura cried out as she went from Hikari to Izuku.

The green haired male let out a huff as the air was squeezed out of him, but he gently wrapped his arms around the younger female, smiling as he heard her giggle.

"Yeah, her hugs crush your lungs to oblivion, in case you haven't noticed" Hikari stated as she picked up her satchel and began moving towards the stairs.

"Oh, I noticed" Izuku rasped out.

Hikari giggled.

"Sakura! Let him breathe. Jeez. Don't need him passing out from oxygen deprivation" she called as she made her way up the stairs.

"Oh" she heard her little sister reply before she made her way up the stairs to her room.

Setting her satchel off in a corner of the room, Hikari exchanged her school uniform for black comfy pants and a baggy blue t-shirt. Then she went back down the stairs to find Izuku playing some version of 'Patty Cake' with Sakura. Hikari smiled as she rested her weight on her elbows, bracing them against the staircase railings as she watched the scene with a slightly tilted head.

It was during moments like these that Izuku seemed more adorable than usual.

...

"Hey Hikari?"

Dang it, right as she was about to fall asleep. Turning a bit, Hikari only managed to catch sight of Izuku thanks to the faint moonlight bouncing off his frame and the blankets. Turning her body fully that she was facing him, Hikari spoke up.

"Yeah, what's up?" she asked.

Izuku seemed to hesitate before saying what was on his mind.

"Do you, think I'm actually worthy of being All Might's successor?" he asked, shifting himself so that he was propped up on his elbows.

Hikari paused.

"Have you been thinking about that ever since he told you?" she asked.

Izuku flushed in embarrassment and adverted his eyes.

"No wonder you were quiet during dinner" Hikari noted before she mulled over his question.

"...Yeah. I do think you're worthy to be All Might's successor. I'd go as far as to say that you deserve it" she finally answered.

Izuku's sputters of surprise and denial were quickly silence when Hikari shushed him.

"First of all, try to keep things down. There are people who are asleep. Second, Izuku, you've been fighting for as long as I can remember simply by wanting to become a hero and keeping that dream even when other people told you no because you were quirkless. This is your chance to not only gain a quirk, but to prove to those people once and for all that they were wrong. I know it's difficult for you, because of what people had said, but you gotta learn to stop doubting yourself when you start becoming a hero"

Izuku had gone quiet at her words, so Hikari let her head fall back against her pillow. A shifting sound of movement and a light tug of the covers told her that Izuku had laid back down as well. Closing her eyes, Hikari let herself slowly drift off to sleep.

"Hikari?"

The female let out a quiet breath through her nose.

"Yes Izuku?"

"Thank you. For, always being there for me"

Hikari lightly smiled.

"Anytime, green bean. Anytime"

"...Wait, green bean?"

"Goodnight Izu"

"Hold on, hold on, we gotta talk about that one!"

...

The first rays of sunlight had just begun to break over the horizon, adding a bright yellow to the already pink and pale orange sky. The air was crisp and felt especially fresh. And the clouds in the morning sky held pretty shades of pinks and purples.

A beautiful morning to go out for a run. Which was exactly what Hikari had done. Tossing on a t-shirt, a jacket, and some running pants, Hikari grabbed her phone and plugged in her earbuds before taking off.

Now, she focused on the sound of the music flowing through her ears and the feeling of her feet hitting the pavement with each jogging step she took. Entrance exams for the U.A. were only ten months away, and she really needed to start developing some physical things. For one, she was underweight for her height and age.

She didn't have much stamina either, but knew how to keep a steady pace so she wouldn't tire out too quickly. She also needed to get physically stronger too. Hitting the gym after today's run probably wasn't that bad of an idea.

She should probably set up a workout routine. And a proper diet too. Now that he wasn't around to dictate shit anymore.

Honestly, Hikari was still trying to get used to the fact that she was probably never going to be in his presence again. Now that the son of a bitch was locked away for the next twenty-five years, she had plenty of time to truly explore her interests. One of them being the early mornings runs like the one she was on now.

Now that she was no longer motivated by fear, she found her jogs to actually be enjoyable. And a good start for a healthy lifestyle. All of a sudden, her music paused, and her phone began to vibrate, something that pulled her out of her thoughts. Slowing down to a walk, she pulled out her phone.

Even though she couldn't see him, Hikari could practically picture the deadpan look on his face as he sent that text. And the thought made her laugh a bit. Restarting her music, Hikari continued on jogging.

...

"So that's four hundred and ninety hours"

Letting out a soft sigh, Hikari looked over while resting her head on her hand as Izuku muttered on about something related to training and resting and timing. She was a little too tired this time around to pay attention to the details. She had worked herself until she was pouring sweat at the gym yesterday, and now, her entire body was sore.

Perhaps some of the yoga classes her mom had signed her up for would do her some good. Coming back to reality, she noticed just about everyone, even the teacher, was staring at Izuku as he was still muttering. Then, the teacher extended his literal hand, and gently hit Izuku to get his attention. The boy instantly covered his mouth as his face flushed from embarrassment.

"Hey! Midoriya! I know you had a run-in with a villain, but pull yourself together kid. If you really want to get in the U.A. you might actually have to know something" the teacher stated amid the giggles and laughter of the class.

Hikari sighed before closing her eyes for a moment, and that's when she realized something.

Not once did Katsuki look in her or Izuku's direction.

...

Letting out a few steadying breaths, Hikari forced her tired frame to push the barbell up into the air. The thing had twenty five pound weights on both ends, so at the moment, she was lifting up fifty pounds. She needed to triple or quadruple that here in ten months if she was going to make it through the physical aspect of the U.A. exams.

When it came to these kinds of workouts, unfortunately, she didn't know when to stop. Luckily for her, a kind woman, who had been sitting down a couple paces away with a dumbbell in hand, had offered to be her spotter.

"Alright, five more kiddo. You got this" the lady said in an encouraging voice, though she did have her hands lightly outstretched, ready to jump in the moment Hikari started having problems.

For Hikari, there was equal difficulty with how the barbell worked. It was hard to push it up, but for her, it was equally as hard to control its descent. And after the second to last one, she wasn't exactly sure she could manage one more.

But that's exactly what her spotter was encouraging her to do.

"Come on, one more, then we can take a break" the woman encouraged.

Tightening her grip on the bar, Hikari took a deep breath before beginning to push it up. Extending her arms as far as they would go, Hikari held the bar up for a few seconds before slowly lowering it down until it brushed against her chest.

"Atta girl! That was good! That was really good!" her spotter praised as she helped Hikari get the barbell up on the holders.

The younger female sat up a bit, panting as she let her arms hang limp for a second.

"So, if you don't mind my asking, what's your name?" the older woman asked as she sat down on the seat beside her.

Hikari looked at her, trying to determine if she was safe or not. Nothing seemed to be wrong, and the lady had helped her out by being her spotter.

"...Hikari Honata. You?" she finally answered before sticking out her hand.

"Ichika Minato" the lady replied as she shook Hikari's hand.

Then she leaned forward.

"Though my hero name is Riku" she added in a quiet voice and light smile.

Hikari's mind blanked out at that new piece of information and it took a minute for her to come back. When she did, Hikari clamped her hands over her mouth as she stared at Ichika in shock.

"Wait a minute, you're, you're the Riku?! The underground hero that occasionally teamed up with limelight heroes and is practically the unofficial partner of Erasurehead?!" she whisper-shouted.

Ichika nodded, though there was some light surprise dusting her pale brown eyes. Though her left eye, which had a pale pink scar running through it, was considerably paler than her right.

"I'm guessing you know a thing or two about underground heroics?" the lady asked.

Hikari nodded. Riku was a famous hero that worked in underground heroics. Hikari absolutely adored her.

She was almost as obsessed with Riku and Erasurehead as Izuku was with All Might. Key word. Almost.

There was a difference between her and Izuku though when it came to meeting their idols. Hikari was able to keep her wits about her.

"I, kind of like to think that underground heroes are the unsung heroes. You guys do, so much, even though you hardly get recognition for it" she said as she sat cross-legged and braced her hands in the hole that was created.

Ichika chuckled a bit as she looked ahead and rested her elbows on her thighs.

"Oh, I don't know about that. I say we get enough recognition from the police, and the youth that know about us" she said, giving Hikari a side look.

Hikari gave a light shrug as she sheepishly looked off to the side. "So, what's got you required to move around fifty pounds?" Ichika asked.

The younger female smirked a bit.

"The U.A. exams here in ten months is what" she replied.

Ichika raised an eyebrow as a look of interest came over her features.

"The U.A. huh? And from how you were talking, I'm guessing you're aiming for the hero course?" she said.

Hikari nodded.

"I've already aced all of the mock tests that they had three times now. Now I just need to get ready to ace the real thing. Though I need to get stronger for it. Cause, uh, in case you haven't noticed, I'm a scrawny little thing" she said before standing up and holding the sides of her t-shirt against her skin.

Ichika suddenly had a look of light sympathy.

"Oh hun, you're more than just scrawny. How much do you even weigh?" she asked.

"...45 kilos. That equals about ninety-nine pounds. I didn't have the most healthy lifestyle due to some things at home" Hikari answered as she nervously tapped the tips of her fingers together.

"That much is obvious. How, are things at home? Parents treating you okay?" Ichika asked as she stood up and started walking towards a water fountain.

Hikari paused as she mulled over the question. I mean, yes, the person in front of her was a pro hero, but she was also a bit of a stranger. Though something about her had this calming aura, something that assured Hikari that this was a woman that could be trusted.

"Well, my mom, is great. One of the strongest people that I know. Though, my father was recently put behind bars with over a twenty five year sentence under his belt for a whole list of shit that he did. He, was definitely not the best father of the year" she admitted.

Ichika paused in her movements and got a look on her face like she was thinking.

Probably on how to respond to that.

"...Think you text your mother? I want to make sure I have her permission to take you out to a cafe. If you'd like to, that is" she said.

Hikari blinked before tilting her head in slight confusion while lightly lowering a brow.

"If it's alright with you, I'd like to talk about some things that are probably not suitable for our current setting" Ichika told her.

Hikari straightened out her head while widening her eyes a bit. Then she looked down, thinking things through.

"If you don't want to, then that's perfectly okay" Ichika told her.

Hikari stared at a marking on the floor before taking out her phone

Me

Hey mom? I recently encountered someone. She's a pro hero. And she was wondering if it would be alright if she could talk to me about some stuff over at a cafe. Would that be okay?

Sent : 6:59 PM

Hikari and Ichika didn't have to wait for long before there was a reply.

Mom

If she's a pro hero, then I guess it would be alright. Just be careful. And mind your manners!

Received : 7:01 PM

"She said yes" Hikari stated, slipping her phone back in her pocket.

Ichika nodded, and the two women packed up their things before heading out. The cafe was actually a cat cafe, something that immediately won Hikari over. She was a cat lover, and wasted no time in getting a beautiful and very friendly tabby into her arms, much to Ichika's amusement as she got in line.

"Alright kiddo. What d'you want? I'll pay" she said, pulling out her wallet.

Hikari suddenly looked slightly panicked.

"I-I couldn't ask that of you! I-" she started before she was silenced by Ichika raising her hand.

"I asked, what do you want?" she said in a tone that said she wasn't about to budge.

Hikari sighed before looking up at the menu.

"Blueberry milk tea with mango popping boba and a breakfast croissant" she said before burying her flushed face in the impossibly soft fur of the tabby, who began purring as it rubbed its face over hers.

Ichika smiled and gave the kid's order along with her own. A few minutes later, and the two were seated on the ground in a secluded corner of the cafe with the tabby curled up in Hikari's lap, purring as the heterochromatic female gently ran her fingers over its head.

"So, how are things? At home?' Ichika asked.

Hikari put on a thoughtful look as she sipped on her bubble tea, loving the way the mango flavored boba popped in her motuh as she bit down on them.

"Well, things are, tense, I guess. My father's not around anymore, thank goodness, but, it's probably going to take a while to get used to not having his constant presence around" she said, nibbling on her croissant.

Ichika nodded as she took a bite of the large white chocolate cookie she had gotten. Seriously, that thing was about the size of a small dinner plate! Hikari's breakfast croissant was almost just as big.

"...What was your father like?" the pale brown eyed woman asked.

Hikari looked down as a light scowl settled itself over her expression.

"...A no good dead beat who deserves the worst version of hell that may exist and doesn't deserve to be called a man. He was an alcoholic, and a drug abuser. He was also pretty abusive towards me and my family. Domestic abuse was actually used as an umbrella term during his trial cause the list of shit that he did to us was so long" she said, her voice bitter.

Ichika was silent for a moment.

"What else was he arrested for?" she asked.

"Drug dealing and possession of illegal drugs. Actually, drug dealing was how he was caught. He was found in an alleyway by a police patrol drunk and high out of his mind with a body in front of him, a bag of street cocaine in one hand, and a loaded gun in the other. It looked like it was a drug deal that had gone wrong" Hikari told her, keeping her eyes down to the ground.

"All in all, domestic abuse, second degree murder, drug dealing, all of that combined together to give him a twenty five year sentence in prison. At least it gives me and my family twenty-five years of peace from his ass" she added, giving a humorless chuckle.

The tabby in her lap let out a meow, its tail landing on Hikari's hand since she had stopped petting it during her little rant.

"At least we're finally free from his tyranny" the female added in a soft voice as she watched the cat melt again under her touch.

Ichika had an unreadable expression on her face as she watched the cat suddenly twist around and rested its front paws on Hikari's hand, giving off the look that it was holding on to her hand, making the young female smile at the cuteness.

"Have you ever thought about going to a therapist for this?" she asked. Hikari shook her head.

"They would probably put me in a mental facility after one session with all the shit that I've been through" she answered, contempt present in her expression.

"Not hero grade ones" Ichika stated.

Hikari looked up in surprise.

"You don't even know the details of what that bastard's done. How the hell do you know if I'm even qualified for a hero grade therapist?" she asked.

"Part of hero work is intuition, trusting your gut, and mine is telling me that you've been through some shit that no youth at your age should have ever gone through. And for such an extended period of time too. So, I think you're more than qualified for a hero grade therapist" Ichika told her.

Hikari half-heartedly nibbled on her breakfast croissant as she processed the information she had been given.

"I don't want to go to therapy" she said after swallowing the last bite.

Ichika let out a soft sigh as she dropped the topic.

"Very well. Then at least allow me to help in a different way" she said.

Hikari looked up at the female as she quirked an eyebrow.

"How so?"

"That is something I would also like to talk to your mother about"

...

Knocking on the door, Hikari and Ichika waited while someone shuffled around inside. A shadow appeared, and then the door opened.

"Hikari Haru Honata! Do you have any idea how worried I was..." her mother cried out before trailing off when she noticed who was with Hikari.

Ichika also seemed to be slightly surprised as she looked over the woman. Hikari stood off to the side as she watched the two older women stare at each other. It was only when the teen cleared her throat and gently nudged a hand against the two that both women seemed to snap back to reality.

"Mrs. Minato, this is my mother, Akua Honata" Hikari introduced.

Ichika seemed to stutter a bit before clear her throat and looking off to the side.

"Ah, yes, um, ahem, ma'am, Ichika Minato, otherwise known as pro hero Riku. And, there are some things about your daughter here that I would like to discuss" Ichika said as she held out her hand.

"It's nothing bad, I simply wanted to talk about increasing her chances at getting into U.A." she added when she saw a worried look growing on Akua's face.

The older Honata merely nodded, and Hikari couldn't help but smile in spite of herself.

"Mom? Can she come in?" she asked, leaning forward a bit while raising an eyebrow.

Akua looked at her daughter as her question was registered.

"Hmm? Oh! Um, yes, of course. Please, do come in!" Akua said, stepping out of the way to allow both women into the house.

Now, Hikari wasn't much of a fool. She could tell that something had just happened between her mother and the pro hero. Though for some reason, she couldn't quite place her finger as to what it was.

She decided not to dwell on it as she and Ichika took off their shoes and placed them by the doorway, where there were five other pairs of shoes.

"Hey mom, is Junpei and Niko here today?" Hikari asked.

She was used to seeing only three pairs of shoes at the doorway.

"Hmm? Oh, yes, they're currently up in your brother's room. Though I told him to keep the door open" Akua answered as she began cleaning off the dining room table, making Hikari giggle a bit at the implication.

It looked like dinner, which had been take-out, had just been finished, if some of the boxes and food wrappers were anything to go by. "Does anyone want anything to drink?" Akua asked as she threw out the last of the trash.

"Well, I could go for some pepsi" Hikari started as she opened the fridge and reached for a soda can.

Ichika chuckled and Hikari yelped when Akua took off her slipper and flung it at the younger female's outstretched hand. Hikari rubbed her hand where the slipper made contact while giving a playful half-hearted glare at her mother.

"It is past six o clock! And it's a school night! No caffeine for you!" Akua stated as she collected her slipper and pointed it at the younger Honata every now and then as she spoke.

Hikari snapped her fingers in light frustration before reaching back in the fridge and pulled out a bottle of juice, which made her mother lower the slipper since she had raised it up again.

"I'll get that pepsi eventually" she muttered as she poured a glass of juice.

"I'm sure you will kiddo" Ichika told her, smiling a bit.

"So, what is it about my daughter that you wanted to talk about?" Akua asked as she took a seat while facing Ichika.

"Ah, yes. So, I encountered your daughter in the gym today. We had a nice little chat there and at the cafe. And I must say, I am, rather intrigued by her. And, with your permission, and her agreement, I feel she would stand having a better chance at getting into U.A., if she were to be trained by a pro hero" Ichika stated.

Both Akua and Hikari froze, and the younger Honata slowly turned around to face the two adults, momentarily meeting the gaze of her mother as she did so.

If she's saying what I think she's saying, Hikari thought to herself.

"I, just so happen to have some downtime here for the next week or so, and I would like to personally train your daughter, even on the days that I'm working. Now, I'll understand perfectly if you choose to say no, and if you choose to say yes, then know that you can call things off at any time" the pro hero explained.

Hikari's mind practically froze as every single word and their meaning was registered.

She...wants to train...me? she thought to herself while looking down at the counter like it was going to help.

When she looked up again, Akua had this odd look on her face, like she was thinking through everything that this suggestion could lead to. After a couple moments of tense silence, the woman finally turned in her seat to look at her daughter.

"Well, Hikari? This will affect you more than me. What say you?" she asked.

Hikari glanced back down at the counter, thinking over her decision, before looking back up.

"I, I want to do this. It might give me an advantage in both the short and long run, and besides, what better way to learn than from someone with the experience?" she said.

Akua nodded and Ichika looked happy with the answer.

"Well then, you have my permission, and full approval, Mrs. Minato, to train my daughter" the older Honata stated.

"I promise to do my best" Ichika said before standing up and bowing.

"Hikari, you free after school tomorrow?" she asked while straightening up.

"I should be. I'm not in any clubs or after school activities, so..." the female answered.

"Good. Meet me at five thirty at the gym tomorrow. Wear something athletic, got it?" Ichika told her.

Hikari nodded. After that, the trio gave their goobyes, and Hikari kept herself together until Ichika left.

"Did that, really, just happen?!" she cried out as a smile grew on her face.

Akua seemed just as happy as she tightly hugged her daughter, a proud smile settling on her features.

...

To sum things up, the next several months were absolute hell. Honestly, Hikari had no idea how she managed to juggle school work, stay awake in class, go through harsh workouts, observe the occasional night patrol, and deal with routine check ups on her overall health, curtsy of her mentor, who managed to get discounts with each visit due to being a pro hero. And from what she was seeing in class, she wasn't the only one.

Izuku seemed to have mostly the same troubles as her, if him being half asleep, head partially tilted back with his pencil still moving across the paper was anything to go by. A bit of a big change was that Hikari's favorite go-to beverage was no longer pepsi, but rather, it was sweetened coffee, and it did seem to sometimes provide a temporary, but much needed boost in her blood pressure. It was an added benefit to keeping her awake, thank goodness.

Another change was that overall, she was looking much better health wise. Her skin wasn't as sunken in as it had been at the beginning, and it had also gained a healthy light tan color, rather than the sickly pale that some people had gotten used to. Her form was also filling out rather nicely, and had been able to upgrade her school uniform to a normal sized one, since the one she had previously had to be practically custom made to suit how thin she had been.

Her eyes, which had already seemed bright enough to a lot of people, had somehow managed to get even brighter, and when she looked at them, a lot of people felt like she was looking into their very soul. Hell, sometimes even Katsuki couldn't maintain eye contact with her for any longer than a couple seconds, and she could tell he was beating himself up over it. Izuku appeared to be the only one to be immune to that factor about her.

Though she thought she once caught the phrase "...bright, soul piercing eyes..." when he was on one of his little muttering rants while writing things down in his hero analysis notebook.

She never really paid much thought to it though. And at the moment, she couldn't, especially since at the moment, it was past nine thirty pm, and she was perched on a building, overlooking an alleyway while her mentor quietly sneaked up on some thugs that were currently robbing a young adult male. She was far away enough that nobody saw her, but close enough to carefully observe every little movement her mentor made, down to how she placed her feet to make the least amount of noise possible.

In hero work, stealth would be a very big thing, especially if you were to go on a mission that practically thrived off of it. Heck, sometimes stealth could be all the difference between life and death when you're out on the field. She remembered those words being a part of today's lesson before going out on this patrol.

Keeping herself hidden in the shadows provided by the alleyway, Hikari quietly and slowly moved herself down so that she could see things a bit better. That's when her mentor made her move. Silently darting forward, barely a sound came from Ichika, or at the moment, Riku, as she took out the thugs, moving quickly, but gracefully.

After a couple of good solid hits and a couple roundhouse kicks, all three thugs were out cold on the ground, and after returning the stolen possessions to the male, and giving him a once over, he was sent on his way, and RIku alerted the police.

"Alright Hikari, you can come down now" she called out after getting the thugs tied up and set against the brick wall.

Hikari made her way down to the ground, grateful for the parkour lessons that had been started a couple months into her training, and touched down with a soft landing. After a chat with the police when they came, the two females made their way to sit at the rooftops where they had hidden their stuff.

"So, what did you take away from this?" Riku asked as she pulled down her mask so that it hung around her neck.

"You moved your feet in a way so that it muffled the sound of you approaching. They had no idea you were even coming. Your overall body movement was quick and light, and you seemed to make sure to hit them hard and fast, and you didn't give them much time to think at all" Hikari answered as she went over the motions her mentor did in her head.

Riku nodded with a light smile.

"Very observant. Another good trait to have in the line of hero work. You hit all the points perfectly. Next time though, even though you may want to get a better view of everything, try not to move from where you are. If someone had looked up, you would've been spotted, even though you managed to stay in the cover of the shadows. Another very good trait to have is to be observant of your overall surroundings. Something that some limelight heroes would do well to remember" Riku told her, a hint of bitterness in the hero's voice as she spoke her last few words.

"Endeavor?" Hikari guessed with a knowing look as she raised an eyebrow.

Riku sighed.

"Bastard knows how to catch a villain, but the phrase, 'keep damage to your surroundings at a minimum' doesn't seem to be in his vocabulary. As is with most limelights" she said, letting out a sigh as she looked out over the rooftops.

The younger followed the older's gaze as she thought through her next words.

"Then I hope to become a hero that not only wins and saves, but also one that's able to keep damage to a minimum" she said.

Riku glanced at her, then looked back out as she smiled.

"That sounds like a very good hero indeed" she said.

Then she switched the topic. "May I see your hand?" she asked. Hikari looked at her as light confusion settled in.

"My...hand? Why?" she asked.

"I just want to see it for a moment" Hikari gave Riku a suspicious glance before holding out her hand.

The older female took it in both of hers and began playing around with it.

"You've been sticking with the work out and diet plans I gave you?" Riku asked.

Hikari nodded, still too confused as to what was happening to answer.

"Hmm. It shows. When we first met, I could see the outlines of almost every bone in your hand. And now look at you" the older female stated, letting go of Hikari's hand.

The younger took the limb back and stared at it.

"When you get home tonight, take a look in the mirror, then see if you can find a photo of yourself before we met. I'll bet you'll be astounded by the difference" Riku suggested.

Hikari hummed a bit to show she heard the pro hero.

"Oh, and text your mom that I'll be joining you guys for dinner tonight"

...

Hikari didn't do what Ichika had suggested until the night before the exam at U.A. After greeting her mother and her siblings from a night patrol with Riku, who would be staying for dinner tonight, she went off to her room to get changed. While doing so, she caught sight of herself in the mirror.

Now, Hikari had never been one to stare at her reflection. Most of the time, she would give herself a fleeting glance just to make sure the clothes she had on worked with each other. But now, she fully paused to stare at the image that looked back at her.

She was rather certain that she had gained an inch or two in height over the last few months. Her ash blonde hair, which at one point had been thin and stringy, was now thick, looked ridiculously soft, had volume to it, and, holy shit, it even felt ridiculously soft. Her green and blue heterocromatic eyes weren't as sunken in as before, and they appeared to have gotten even brighter if that was possible.

It looked like her eyes were practically glowing with how bright and piercing they were. Her cheeks weren't as hollowed out as they used to be. Her skin, which had been pale, sickly looking, and sunken, was now a healthy looking light tan color.

Her cheeks had a rosy tint to them due to the night being rather chilly. Her ribs now just barely showed, and her hips weren't as sharp and bony. Her abdomen and upper arms both had light outlines of the muscles that were rippling under her skin.

She was pretty sure her legs were like that too, and when she turned around to look over her shoulder, the muscles along her back were also somewhat defined. All in all, she had definitely made quite the transformation for the better. Something that her family members and Ichika heartily agreed to when she brought it up.

"I'm just surprised you haven't brought this up sooner" Her brother, Junpei, stated as he rapidly tapped on his game controller.

"Well, you know me, I don't really like to flaunt things about myself. I recommend hitting R2 for your next move. This guy's health is down enough that he should be taken out by your exploding potions" Hikari replied, chowing down on a small sushi platter as she sat on the floor, sitting and leaning into a bean bag chair.

"Hikari's very pretty" Sakura called through a mouthful of orange chicken while Junpei performed the recommended move.

"You are absolutely right Saki" Ichika stated she wiped off some sauce that had ended up on the little girl's cheek.

"Sakura, don't talk with your mouth full. You'll choke on your food" Akua chided in a gentle tone.

"Okay!" Sakura replied. making the older female sigh a bit.

"So, think you're all ready for those exams?" Junpei asked as his game character entered a cut-scene.

Hikari sighed a bit.

"I've gone over the mock tests almost five times and aced all of them every time. So, I'm pretty sure I'm good in that department. But I have no idea how the physical tests are gonna go" she said.

Hikari wasn't going to deny that she had been feeling more and more anxious the closer exam days came. Honestly, it was a surprise she hadn't had a panic attack yet from the nerves.

"Ichika! Can't you help me out?!" she cried out, looking over at her mentor, who was currently sitting at the dining room table with a cup of coffee in her hands.

"Kid, everything I've been doing over the past ten months was to help you prepare for the exam! I've given you all the help I can give here!" the pro hero replied, making Hikari groan into her hands as she leaned farther back into her bean bag chair.

"Quit worrying Ari! You'll get into the U.A. They would be a fool to not take you!" Junpei told her.

"You're just saying that cause your my brother" Hikari told him, her voice muffled by her hands that were still covering her face.

"Fwuah?! 'Just saying that' she says! I take offense to that" Junpei cried out as he paused his game.

Hikari let out a yelp of surprise as she was tackled from her bean bag chair to the ground, though she was soon laughing as Junpei wiggled his fingers into her sides.

"Hey-hey-hey! Ha-ha! St-stop it-hi-hit! Mom, he-help!" she cried out, tears of laughter pricking at the corners of her eyes.

"Don't go crying to mom, you little shit! You brought this upon yourself! I tried to be a supportive older brother, and you just dismiss it?! How dare you!" her brother replied, moving one of his hands to Hikari's neck, making her practically squeal and squirm even more.

Sakura, Akua, and Ichika were all laughing their asses off as Hikari struggled to push her brother off of her. Ever tried to lift something that was heavier than you while you were laughing? Yeah, it's not too easy.

Hikari somehow managed to anyway, and was able to flip her and her brother's positions.

"Ha! I'm on top now! And there's nothing you can do about it!" she called out, somewhat harshly poking Junpei in the stomach.

"Oh yeah?! Try and wrestle your way out of this!" the male called out before surging forward.

The two siblings began to playfully wrestle with each other, rolling across the floor with light hits and smacks being exchanged. Akua had said something along the lines of, "Be careful! And don't hit each other too hard!", but neither sibling paid much attention to her. Besides, Sakura's laughter had fueled Hikari and Junpei to change their pace from actual hits to shadow fighting, much to everyone's amusement.

In the end, both siblings called a draw and made a great show of shaking hands and bowing to each other while holding a straight face that was dropped when they straightened up again.

"Alright you two, that's enough. Your sister needs to breathe here and there too y'know" Akua stated, motioning to Sakura who had begun wheezing from how much and how hard she had laughed.

"Eh, she'll be fine. Who needs air anyway?" Junpei said with a little hand flap movement.

"Pfft, you do, with how much of an airhead you are" Hikari told him.

Her brother let out a dramatic gasp while placing a hand to his chest.

"Why, how dare thou refer to me with such a mere, weak insult. Thou must be more creative than that!" he cried, adding a heavy accent to his voice.

"Oh hush, you Shakespeare sounding cretin" Hikari replied, sticking her tongue out at him.

"Oh the slander!" Junpei cried out, dramatically putting his free hand to his forehead as he purposefully fell backwards onto the couch.

Hikari giggled alongside Sakura's laughter as she picked the child up and set her against her hip.

"Alright, you overgrown man child. Time for bed. You gotta get up early tomorrow anyway. Don't you have that internship to finish up?" she said, lightly kicking her foot against the man child that was her brother.

"Oh shit, I do have that. I might actually apply to that company once I get out of college. Best place I've ever interned at" Junpei said as he bolted up into a sitting position.

"Junpei! Watch the language around Sakura!" Akua scolded.

"Oooo, sorry!" the male hissed in an apologetic tone as he saved the progress on his game before shutting down the console.

"Oof, busted by the mama. Again" Hikari deadpanned as Junpei made his way up the stairs.

"Shut up Hikari! Like you're any better?!" her brother replied as he disappeared from view.

Hikari sighed a bit while shaking her head, before looking down at Sakura, who let out a yawn as she rested her head on her older sister's shoulder.

"I think that's my cue to leave. I have a second patrol that I need to get to anyway" Ichika said as she stood up while checking her watch and taking her mug to the sink.

"Thank you for coming by tonight. It was nice to have company while the kids were, doing their thing" Akua told her.

Hikari watched as her mother accompanied the pro hero to the door, and saw her out.

"Goodbye Ichika! Please do come back again soon!" Akua called out while waving.

Then she closed the door and turned around. Hikari had an odd look on her face that made the older woman pause.

"What?" Akua questioned.

The older daughter then smiled while raising an eyebrow.

"So, when can I expect a wedding invitation?" she asked while making her way to the stairs.

Akua's face flushed red.

"Oh hush you! Put your sister to bed!" she cried, making HIkari laugh as she climbed up the stairs to do just that.

...

The day of the exam came flying in like a hurricane, and Hikari, who had woken up two hours early thanks to her nerves, was now flying about her room, collecting anything she would need and tossing it into her satchel that laid on her bed.

"Hikari! Slow down! The exam isn't for another couple of hours! You have time! Chill out!" Junpei called from her doorway as he leaned against it with his arms crossed.

"Are you kidding me?! Today is the day where my very life might change! I can't afford to waste a single second here man!" the female cried out.

"Mom! Hikari's going into overdrive again!" Junpei called out as he leaned back into the hall.

"Bro, stop screaming! Do you want to wake up the whole neighborhood?!" Hikari snapped at him before checking her phone.

"And Izuku still hasn't replied to my texts. He's usually very on time with that" she said, quieting down a bit.

"That's what calms you down? Worrying over if someone replies to your texts or not?" Junpei asked, lowering an eyebrow.

"Izuku's different. He always replies to any texts that I send him within five minutes. Ten minutes if he's busy. And me and him have the same crappy sleep schedule, so knowing him, he's probably awake at this time. It's been over forty-five minutes since I sent my last text! And still no answer!" Hikari cried out before tossing her phone onto the bed and grabbing her water bottle so that she could toss that into her satchel too.

"You have his texting habits down to the 't' don't you?" Junpei commented with a light smirk.

"Yeah. So? He has mine down too. I forget the amount of times he's called me all upset cause I didn't answer his texts" the female answered before she looked off to the side.

"Hmm, maybe I should do that" she muttered.

"Kinda sus that ya'll have each other's habits memorized" Junpei stated, not losing the smirk on his face.

Hikari paused for a moment before turning to him.

"What best friends don't have each other's habits and schedules memorized?" she countered, raising an eyebrow.

Junpei sighed, and Hikari smiled before turning back to zipping up her satchel.

"Well, I guess I still have thirty minutes, before heading out that is" she said, giving everything one last look over.

"Good. That's more than enough time for you to get some breakfast in. Now come on. I'm not about to let you take a big exam without having something in your stomach. That goes for you too Junpei!" Akua stated as she walked by the door.

"Yes mom!" the two siblings chorused before they looked at each other.

They narrowed their eyes at each other.

"First one down gets first pick!" they both chorused again before racing down to the kitchen.

...

"Okay, you got this, your not gonna fuck this up, you can do it, you've got this, this is what you've been training for" Hikari quietly muttered under her breath at a fast pace as she spotted the entrance to the U.A. exam.

Looking around as her hands tightened on her bag's strap, Hikari was able to recognize some of her classmates, and after a bit more looking around, she spotted a very familiar head of spiky yellow blonde hair. And surprisingly, he had a scarf around his neck. Moving silently, Hikari came up beside him and began to match his pace.

"Nice scarf" she simply stated.

Katsuki seemed to jump just a bit, and he whipped his head around to face Hikari. Though, his expression switched from startled to ticked off faster than a set of traffic lights.

"The hell are you doing here?!" he snapped while facing forward.

"I'm here for the entrance exam, just like you. Though I'm just a bit curious as to why you're wearing a scarf. You hate having anything around your neck" the female told him.

"Tch. In case you haven't noticed, it's cold out, dumbass. Of course I'm gonna wear a scarf. And don't walk beside me! You're not my equal on any level!" Katsuki replied, getting louder and more snappier with each word he spoke.

Hikari put her hands up a bit.

"Fine, fine" she said, before quickly getting distracted by a flash of messy green hair.

"Oh! Izuku! Well, it was nice having a chat with you, but I got a friend to catch up with. See ya! Good luck with the exam!" she said before breaking into a jog.

She vaguely heard Katsuki say something about 'Don't go in front of me' and 'Damn nerd', but she paid him no attention, and kept going. Hikari slowed down when she was a few paces from the boy, and quietly sneaked up on him the rest of the way.

"Hey Izuku" she said, whispering into his ear.

The green haired and freckled male let out a shriek that earned him a few looks as he jumped and whirled around.

"Holy-! Hikari! Don't sneak up on me like that! Jeez!" he cried, once he got over his initial shock.

Hikari giggled a bit.

"That's what you get when you don't answer my texts after a few hours!" she retaliated, holding up her phone for proof.

Izuku seemed to pale a bit, and he automatically switched into apologetic mode.

"Oh no, I'm so sorry! I got so caught up with some last minute training. I didn't even hear my phone go off!" he said, pulling out his phone to check his missed notifications.

"Oh, don't worry, I've already forgiven you" Hikari told him, waving her hand a bit.

Izuku seemed to deflate with relief.

"So, other than training, how's your quirk situation going?" the female asked, lowering her voice.

The green haired male actually shuddered a bit.

"So, apparently, One For All is transferable through DNA" he said, sounding a little grossed out.

Hikari stiffened, and gave him a side look.

Oh dear gods above, please tell me nothing happened, she thought.

"Soooo, um, how did, that, work?" she asked, nervous.

"...He had me eat a piece of his hair" Izuku quietly blurted out before putting a hand over his mouth.

"Okay, that's just gross. Simple, but very gross" Hikari admitted with a shiver.

Her friend nodded in agreement.

"I may have swallowed the hair, but I don't feel like anything great has happened to me yet" he said.

"Blegh. Disgusting" Hikari said, sticking her tongue out a bit.

She was about to say something else, but a voice from behind the two made her pause.

"Stupid Deku" Katsuki stated as he approached.

He had finally caught up with the two.

"Kacchan/Katsuki" Izuku and Hikari chorused.

"Get out of my way you two before I set you on fire" the explosive blonde snapped.

"Oh yeah, that'll set a good impression for you" Hikari told him with a deadpan look.

Izuku took on a more friendly but dramatic approach as he flailed his arms around a bit while the yellow blonde male walked right past them.

"Ah! OhheygoodmorningIwasjustaboutto-" Izuku started to say before his words began to blend together and become unintelligible.

Hikari lightly rolled her eyes a bit with a light smile and a sigh through her nose before turning around a bit. She could already hear the whispers starting up. And all of them were about Katsuki and the sludge villain.

That incident had been over ten months ago, but it was still fresh in some people's minds.

"You do remember he's been taking things a bit easier with us since the sludge villain incident, right?" Hikari asked as she looked at Izuku.

"I guess I did manage to forget" the boy replied in a sheepish voice, rubbing the back of his neck.

Letting out something that was a mix of a huff and a sigh, Hikari lightly shook her head and began walking towards the U.A. building. She had managed to get a few paces ahead when she heard Izuku trip over himself. Quickly turning around, she was rather surprised when someone came out of nowhere and gently touched him.

Hikari would go on to deny it later on, but she was momentarily dumbfounded when her friend began to float.

"Eheh, are you okay?" the stranger asked.

Hikari determined the strange was a female. She had shoulder length brown colored hair, and was wearing a winter coat, leggings, and brown shoes, from what Hikari could see. She paused her train of thought in favor of giggling when Izuku began to flail around while he was floating.

Coming over, Hikari braced her hands against his shoulders, and the girl put her fingertips together. Izuku lightly dropped back to the ground, and Hikari steadied him a bit before removing her hands. She didn't notice how the other girl followed the movements.

"So, what did you just...?" Hikari asked the girl, angling her head towards Izuku.

"Oh, I stopped him with my quirk! I'm sorry I didn't ask first. But I figured no one would mind me catching him" the girl answered.

Hikari smiled. The girl seemed harmless enough.

"Trust me, nobody minds. In fact, I actually should thank you for catching him. He can be a little clumsy sometimes, ain't that right Izu?" Hikari replied, turning to look at her friend.

Izuku seemed dumbfounded as he stared wide eyed at the girl.

"Uhm, Izuku? Green Bean? Hello? Earth to Izuku?" Hikari said as she waved her hand in front of his face.

Izuku spluttered a bit as he started to panic a little.

"Uh, uh, I, uh-" he said, stuttering.

"Well, see you guys inside! Bye!" the girl stated before she waked off to the building.

Hikari waved a bit before dropping her hand and turning to the green haired male beside her.

"Dude, what was that?" she asked.

"...Holy blow, I just talked to a girl!" the boy said, looking a little proud of himself.

"Oh, so I don't count?" Hikari asked him as she began walking.

"Huh? Wha-oh! Wait, no, that's, that's not what I meant! I, I just-" Izku spluttered, trying to explain himself, but he stopped himself when Hikari began to laugh a bit.

"Dude, chill. I was joking. But we seriously need to work on your social interaction skills if you're gonna be a successful hero" the female told him.

Izuzu sighed a bit out of relief before looking at her.

"Yeah, you're probably right. I don't have much experience with other people besides you and Kacchan" he admitted, facing the double doors that were slowly drawing closer.

Hikari couldn't help but snort a bit in laughter.

"It shows"

...

"Ah, there we go. Here's a good spot" Hikari stated as she somehow managed to spot two empty seats in the dark and quickly filling oversized auditorium.

There was a giant screen up at the front, and the multiple rows of seats all sat in a semi circle formation around it.

"How in the world are you able to spot these kinds of things? Do you have a secret third quirk I don't know about?" Izuku asked her, amusement laced in his voice as the two made their way over to sit down.

"Yeah, I stole my brother's quirk. That's how" Hikari replied, smiling a bit as Izuku quietly giggled.

Soon enough, complete silence fell over the auditorium, and the lights began flickering on one by one. The giant screen in the front of the room lit up with U.A.'s logo, which revealed the person standing in front of it. Anybody could recognize the long yellow blonde hair that stuck straight up into the air.

Not to mention those glasses.

"What's up U.A. candidates! Thanks for tuning in to me, your school DJ! Come on, let me hear ya!" Present Mic called out, his quirk allowing him to raise his voice without the use of a microphone.

Hikari didn't yell, but she felt brave enough to put her fingers to her mouth and let out a multiple note whistle that echoed around the place. Present Mic seemed to be rather happy about that as he pointed in the general direction the whistle had originated from.

"At least someone seems hyped! But I'll skip ahead to the main show. Let's talk about how this practical exam's gonna go down, okay? Are you ready?! Yeah!" he called out.

Hikari let out another whistle before stopping to smile and giggle a bit as Izuku began to fanboy a bit.

"Oh my goodness, it's the Voice Hero Present Mic! So cool! I listen to his radio show everyday of the week! " he said before his words began to blend together, at which point a familiar voice said, "Will you shut up?" Looking over, Hikari was only slightly surprised to see Katsuki. "Damn, when did you get here?" she asked. "I've been here you idiot. Its not my fault that you're fucking blind" the explosive yellow blonde retorted while flipping her off. Hikari was about to respond, but opted instead to pay attention to Present Mic when he began talking again.

"Like your applications said, today you rocking boys and girls will be out there conducting two mock levels in the suburban cities! After this, you'll head to your special testing centers, sound good? Okay?!" he said.

Everybody had received a card upon entry that said which center they would be going to, and a lot of people took the opportunity to recheck them. Hikari would be heading off to Testing Center A. Looking over, she took note of Izuku's and Katsuki's cards, and her mood dropped a bit.

Hikari wasn't sure if she should feel happy or exasperated that Katsuki was going to the same center as her.

"I see. They're splitting us up so we can't work with any of our friends" the explosive blonde noted.

"Yeah, you're right. Our examinee numbers are one after the other but we're assigned to different battle centers" Izuku said as he looked at Hikari's and Katuki's placement cards.

"Get your eyes off my card. Damn. I was really looking forward to crushing you" Katsuki lightly snapped at him.

"And what do you want?" he added in the same tone when Hikari cleared her throat at him.

She didn't say anything, but she held up her card so that the two could see what was on it. Katsuki scoffed shook his head a bit, then everyone faced forward as Present Mic began to talk again.

"Okay, okay! Let's check out your targets! There are three practical villains in every battle center. Points are based on their level of difficulty so you better choose wisely. Your goal in this trial is to use your quirk to raise your score by spreading these foe villains like a miso guitar solo! But check it! Make sure you're keeping things heroic. Attacking other examinees is a U.A. nono, you dig?" he said as a gameplay demonstration appeared on the screen behind him.

Hikari furrowed her eyebrows in confusion before checking her card. The card stated that there would be four robots. But Present Mic only mentioned three.

"I thought there were four" she muttered.

Apparently someone else was thinking along the same lines as someone that was closer to the front stood up.

"Excuse me sir, but I have a question!" they called out raising their hand as they did so.

Hikari guessed they were male based on their voice.

"Hit me!" Present Mic said as he pointed at the interrupter, and a light turned on above the person.

"On the printout, you listed four types of villains, not three. With all respect, if this is an error on official U.A. materials, it is shameful. We are exemplary students, we expect the best from Japan's most notable school. A mistake such as this won't do" the person stated.

Then he turned around, and pointed directly at Izuku.

"Additionally, you with the unkempt hair" he stated.

Hikari narrowed her eyes as Izuku himself to clarify that he was the one this guy was talking about.

"You've been muttering this entire time. Stop that. If you can't bother to take this seriously then leave. You're distracting the rest of us" the stranger stated.

Izuku covered his mouth and muttered an apology. Hikari stood up and leaned on the railings that were in front of her.

"Really? Cause first of all, you seem to be the only one who's really making a fuss about it. Second of all, me and my friend here were discussing battles stradegies. And third of all, how about you shut up, mind your business, and let Present Mic here answer your question instead of trying to already make enemies. Cause I'mma tell you right now, you are coming as extremely snobby and rude, and I will not tolerate other people going after my friends like that. So get off your oh so high horse and pay attention. And if my friend's muttering is bothering you, then just ignore it like a mature person instead of making a big deal out of it" Hikari called out in a ticked off manner.

While she was talking the light above her had lit up, but she merely ignored it. The stranger looked downright offended, and he opened his mouth, but before he could get a word out, Present Mic interjected.

"Whoa, whoa, whoa, let's chill it a bit you two. Let's not go making enemies on the first day, yeah? Now let's get that question of yours answered, cause I'm sure that a lot of other people have the same question, yeah?" he said.

Hikari and the stranger glared at each other for a moment, and she wasn't about to back down, not even when Izuku reached up to lightly tug on her shirt sleeve.

"Hikari, it's okay, just, just leave it be" he told her.

Hikari turned her head just a bit to glance at him before returning her gaze to the stranger, who finally sat down. After a moment, she also sat down, and Izuku let go of her sleeve. Present Mic seemed to wait for a few seconds to make sure he had everyone's attention before continuing.

"Now, the fourth villain type is worth zero points. That guy's just an obstacle we'll be throwing at your way. There's one in every battle center. Think of it as a hurdle you should try to avoid. Its not that it can't be beaten, but, there's kinda no point. I recommend my listeners try to ignore it, focus on the ones upping the charts!" the pro hero explained.

"Thank you very much. Please continue" the stranger from before said as he stood up, bowed, then sat back down again.

"Fucking kiss up" Hikari quietly muttered, earning a light jab in the ribs from Izuku's elbow and the quietest of snorts from Katsuki.

"That's all I got for you today, I'll sign off with a little present, a sample of our school motto! As General Nepoliavard once laid down, a true hero is one who overcomes life's misfortunes. Mmhmm. Now that's a tasty sound byte. You ready to go beyond? Let's hear a plus ultra! Good luck! Hope you practiced any more than just books!"
